Vacations, family gatherings, outdoor activities, and longer days can make it easy for clutter and unfinished tasks to quietly accumulate. A few minutes of attention each day can help you stay organized without feeling overwhelmed. This month's checklist focuses on simple actions that help you maintain order, reduce stress, and keep your home running smoothly. ___ Jul 1 Refrigerator Handle and Door Wipe-Down: Wipe refrigerator handles, door edges, and other frequently touched kitchen surfaces that often get overlooked. ___ Jul 2 One Paper Pile Reduction: Choose one stack of papers, mail, or documents and make decisions on at least 5 of them …do (if an action is required), delegate (to someone else), delay (file), or ditch (recycle). ___ Jul 3 Patio or Deck Seating Check: Straighten outdoor furniture, remove debris, and wipe down one seating area. ___ Jul 4 Independence Day: America's 250th Birthday: Take a moment to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Whether you're attending a community event, displaying the American flag, enjoying time with family and friends, or reflecting on our nation's history, enjoy this historic day. ___ Jul 5 Spice Cabinet Quick Review: Scan your spices and seasonings. Discard any empty containers and group similar items together. If you don’t have a spice organizer, today may be a good day to pick one up: Drawer Spice Organizer Spice Rack ___ Jul 6 Digital Desktop Cleanup: Remove unnecessary files, screenshots, or shortcuts from your computer desktop. ___ Jul 7 Ceiling Fan Quick Clean: Dust one ceiling fan and wipe the blades. Clean fans circulate air more efficiently during the hottest part of summer. ___ Jul 8 Sunglasses and Sun Hat Station: Gather sunglasses, hats, visors, and sunscreen from around the house and create one easy-to-find summer grab-and-go spot. ___ Jul 9 Appointment Check-In: Review your calendar for the next few weeks and add any appointments, reminders, or events that haven't been recorded. ___ Jul 10 Kitchen Gadget Edit: Choose one drawer or container of kitchen gadgets and remove duplicates or items you never use. ___ Jul 11 Curtain and Blind Dusting: Spend a few minutes washing one set of curtains or dusting blinds/window treatments. It's a quick task that can noticeably freshen a room. ___ Jul 12 File Folder Review: Open one file drawer or file box and remove outdated documents that no longer need to be kept. ___ Jul 13 Bedroom Floor Reset: Pick up anything resting on the bedroom floor that belongs elsewhere and return it to its proper home. ___ Jul 14 Coupon and Gift Card Check: Gather coupons, gift cards, and store credits.
