Assess the current situation and your actions, and adjust accordingly if needed. ____ Jun 8 Have your car tires rotated and properly inflated. Be sure and check the wear of the tread. Replace tires if needed. This will help your car get better gas mileage and keep you safe on the road. ____ Jun 9 Pull furniture away from the walls. These can be popped into the oven or crock pot when you need a night or two off from cooking. ____ Jun 11 Clean the inside windows in all the rooms, by vacuuming out the window tracks and using an old toothbrush to loosen any stubborn dirt. Too many windows? Do half today and half tomorrow. ____ Jun 12 Take a trip to your local library and check out some books on something you have always wanted to learn. While you are there, sign you and your kids up for the summer reading program. Libraries are still closed in some states, and others have limited hours, but many offer curbside pick-up options. ____ Jun 13 Go shopping (or shop online) or make cards and gifts for the special men in your life. ____ Jun 14 Flag Day. Learn the history of the flag and display it proudly. ____ Jun 15 Go for a family bike ride (and picnic at a park if allowed in your state.) ____ Jun 16 Go through your closets pulling out everything. Gather the family and some blankets. Spend the late evening observing the moon and stars from your own backyard. ____ Jun 22 Clean and organize your storeroom by grouping household items, paper goods, cleaning supplies, and food. Be sure and wipe down the shelves. ____ Jun 23 Scrub down your kitchen cabinets with Murphy’s soap, then apply lemon oil to the wood. Recycle by donating them to the hospitals, rehab centers, assisted living facilities, or even to schools for art projects. Recycling them will keep them out of the landfill.
