More Experiences, Less Stuff
Challenges
Each challenge is designed to help you gain new experiences as
rewards for getting rid of your clutter. Just work on each of these
challenges for around 15 minutes a day this month, every day of the
month.
1.
Get rid of: all of the random cleaning products you’re storing, but
that you never use.
Enjoy this experience: Go to a museum or aquarium…alone or
with your family/friends.
2.
Get rid of: the shoes and sneakers you own that hurt your feet,
don’t match any of your clothes, or that you simply don’t like.
Enjoy this experience: Watch a movie you’ve already seen before
and love, interruption-free.
3.
Get rid of: bath towels that have holes in them or that are fraying.
Enjoy this experience: Do a DIY craft project.
4.
Get rid of: your surplus of food storage containers.
Enjoy this experience: Take yourself out to lunch or for a specialty
coffee.
5.
Get rid of: games, toys, and books your kids have outgrown.
Enjoy this experience: Go to a park just to enjoy the view.
6.
Get rid of: paper clutter. Recycle as much as you can today. Set a
timer for 30 minutes and be ruthless.
Enjoy this experience: Go to a movie matinee.
7.
Get rid of: expired medicine (dispose of safely) and expired food.
Enjoy this experience: Invite a neighbor over for tea and good
conversation.
8.
Get rid of: old magazines and old newspapers
Enjoy this experience: Make a new playlist and listen to it while
enjoying a hobby.
9.
Get rid of: costume jewelry that has been sitting in your jewelry box,
unused, for years.
Enjoy this experience: Learn how to make a simple origami
animal. Give your creation to your child or grandchild.
10.
Get rid of: your surplus of craft supplies
Enjoy this experience: Stop by the visitor center in town.
Challenge them to tell you something about your town that you don’t
already know.
