Love Yourself Challenges
Love yourself this month! These 29 mini challenges are designed to help
you do things that are good for your mind, body, and soul!
1.
Start a new skin care routine and stick to it every night.
2.
Brush your teeth for a full two minutes after meals. And don’t forget
to floss!
3.
Something bothering you? Get your thoughts on paper. Write
the challenge and what you might do to begin fixing it or healing
from it.
4.
Take yourself on a date. Go to a nice coffee shop, a movie, or a
book store.
5.
Log your daily intake of vegetables and fruit. Adjust your eating
habits if needed to be sure these are both significant entities of your
daily diet: 4-5 servings of each per day. A serving is not huge.
Examples are 4 large strawberries, 1 cup of leafy vegetables, or 6
baby carrots.
6.
Meditate or pray. Give yourself a quiet 15 to 20 minutes every day
to reflect and refresh.
7.
Take care of your fingernails and toenails. Keep them trimmed
and clean. Use cuticle oil if your nail beds are a bit dry. Go to a
podiatrist if your feet are always hurting!
8.
Does your eyeglass prescription need to be updated? Make an
appointment to get that handled.
9.
How are your reflexes? If they need to be improved, perhaps play
a sport (like pickle ball) or play some action-oriented video games
for a few minutes each day.
10.
Recite positive affirmations to yourself daily…”I am beautiful,” “I
am capable,” “I can do whatever I set my mind to,” “I am a good
human being.”
11.
Moisturize any dry skin. Pay extra attention to elbows and
kneecaps. This is an extra important task during the cold months!
12.
Get at least 7 to 9 hours of sleep each night…no more and no
less.
13.
Be mindful in everything you’re doing to help avoid errors and to
encourage you to appreciate everything around you.
14.
Be social. Call friends, write to relatives, and join clubs.
15.
Learn something new every day. Watch a TED talk, read about a
topic you’re interested in, or listen to pod-casts about favorite
subjects.
16.
Do a social media detox. Really. It’s okay to not be on Facebook
for a day…or even a week or two.
17.
Listen to your favorite music for a full 30 minutes. Do nothing else
except listen.
18.
Get a water tracker app on your phone to help you determine if
you’re drinking enough water in a given day. It’s important to stay
hydrated.
19.
Get outside today…and every day. Even if you’re only stepping
out your front door, the fresh air is good for you.
20.
Write a thank you note or letter to someone…by hand. It helps
you slow down and think of someone else.
21.
Make a tiny goal. Get it done. Celebrate!
22.
Take an hour to yourself today. Craft, read, nap…whatever you
enjoy doing.
23.
Get your hair done. Enjoy the relaxing aspect of having someone
do something for you.
24.
Begin a new book. Read at least one chapter every day.
25.
Look through an old photo album to enjoy old memories.
26.
Start a new photo album of new memories.
27.
Eat vegetarian for the entire day. Perhaps you’ll want do begin
doing this once a week or more.
28.
Learn some new stretches that you can incorporate into your
morning wake-up routine, as well as your evening wind-down
routine.
29.
Enjoy leap day! Do something that makes you joyful!
