Organizing Challenges Mini Organizing Challenges: September There are 4 weeks in September. This month’s mini challenge theme is IMPROVEMENT. Here are your mini weekly challenges... Week 1: Improve the state of your coat closet. Empty the coat closet completely, donate/trash anything that doesn’t fit right, you don’t like, etc. Return keepers neatly, creating coat/jacket zones for each family member. Also, include a tote or container for each family member to store that person’s gloves, hat, scarves, and other fall gear. Week 2: Improve a skill. What have you always wanted to be better at? Cooking? Photography? Parenting? Make a list of 10 things you can do to improve in that area, and begin…starting with any one item on your list. Week 3: Improve the way you’re storing something.  Do you have something in your bedroom closet that’s just thrown on the floor, or an item in your kitchen cabinet taking up way too much space. Figure out how you can store that item better…if, in fact, you really do need to keep it at all. Week 4: Improve the number of items you donate this month. Donations benefit you (by helping to simplify your life) and others (by helping those who may be less fortunate.) Try to fill a whole bunch of donation boxes/bags…as many as you can…and take them to your favorite local charity this week (or call for a pick-up if available in your area.)
