TO DO This Week
____ 1. Clean an appliance or two. Small appliances sitting on our
kitchen counters can attract dust...and very often when we use the blender,
microwave, stand mixer, coffee maker, etc., we focus on cleaning the 'pieces'
when we're done, but not necessarily the main component. The main component can
get dirty from food spills and splatters. Inspect your small kitchen appliances
and wipe (or scrub) them clean. It's also a good idea to clean under those
appliances (not just around) where dust seems to settle as well.
____ 2. Weed out old colognes, perfumes, and body sprays. The shelf life
of most fragrances is three to five years. Weed out any that you've had sitting
around for more than that amount of time...or any you don't care for and don't
plan to use. By the way, the bathroom is not the best place to store these as
doing so lessens the shelf life. Opt for a cool, dry place instead.
____ 3. Give yourself more laundry room storage space. If you're in need
of more storage space in your laundry room, unused corners may be a great spot
to add a shelf or two...with some baskets to contain detergent, softener, stain
sticks, tennis balls (for the dryer), an iron, etc.
