Storage Solutions I Love Coffee…I Love Tea…and I Love Storing the Cups Properly There is a song from the 1940s entitled The Java Jive. The lyrics are a riot…I highly encourage you to listen to it today for a quick perk-me-up (pun intended!) Now, let’s talk about storing the cups you generally enjoy your coffee or tea in. Mugs and cups seem to multiply quickly and they take up a lot of space. Assuming you have culled through all the mugs in your cabinet and are down to those you use and love, here are some ideas to help store and organize your collection. Mugs used daily by family members should be the easiest to get to. Store towards the front of a cabinet, on shelves, on a mug organizer, or under shelves/cabinets, preferably near the coffee maker and/or where you make tea. Some extra mugs for guests is always a good idea, but if you never have more than one or two guests, one or two extra mugs, versus 20, will do the trick. Estimate the number of guests you’d likely have in your house and use that number to decide how many mugs to keep. Here are some visual mug storage ideas…
