8 Sure-Fire Ways to Let People Know
About Your Web Site
There are millions of Web sites throughout the Internet.
So, how in the world are you going to get people to
learn about yours?
1. PUT IT ON YOUR BUSINESS CARDS.
You're always handing out your business cards at
network functions, and to friends and associates, right?
Having your Web site on your business cards is a basic,
but simple, way of exposing your Web site.
2. PUT IT ON YOUR STATIONERY.
Always include your Web site address on your
letterhead, note paper and any other business
stationery that you use. Every note you send will reveal
your site.
3. PUT IT ON YOUR PRODUCTS AND PRODUCT
LITERATURE.
If you sell products--books, planners, audio cassettes,
etc.--include your Web site right on the products. Your
current customers will then know where to look for your
Web site when they're ready to seek information about
another purchase. Also include your site on product
literature, such as brochures or flyers. People will then
have a non-threatening, quick and easy way to learn
more about your offers.
4. PUT IT IN YOUR PAID ADS.
Don't just include a phone number in your paid ads.
Many people are too afraid to use the telephone to
contact businesses, as they're concerned about
speaking with pushy salespeople. Put your Web
address in your ad, and people will now be comfortable
going to your Web site. Of course, including a reason
for people to visit your Web site--an enticing offer--will
push people to take the time to get on the Internet to
see what you have available.
5. PUT IT IN YOUR PRESS RELEASES.
Whenever you write a press release, be sure to include
your Web site. If you have newsworthy information,
there's a good chance the editor(s) will print it. And if
your Web site is included within the press release, you
should get a nice amount of traffic to your site.
6. MENTION IT IN YOUR INTERVIEWS.
Whether you're doing a TV, radio or in-person interview,
always mention your Web site a few times throughout.
Hopefully, you've chosen a site that's easy to remember
and spell. If you haven't, you may want to re-think your
original choice. It must be easy, or you'll be significantly
decreasing potential visitors.
7. PUT IT IN YOUR ARTICLE RESOURCE BOX.
When you send out articles you've written--print or
online--always include your Web address with them. If
the people who receive your articles are interested in
your material, there's a good chance they'll visit your
Web site, especially if you include an offer they can't
refuse.
8. INCLUDE IT WHENEVER YOU SEND AN E-MAIL.
No matter who you send an e-mail too, under your
name, include a signature box which includes your
name, your business name, your Web site and your
offer.
