The Lazy Days of Summer? No Way! by Maria Gracia The beautiful, sunny days are upon us. Warm, sandy beaches are calling, the kids are out of school and the temptations to just take it easy are very tempting. While it's certainly recommended to enjoy some of your summer days just relaxing in the yard, this time of year offers the perfect opportunity to work on growing your knowledge base and your business. Here are some great ideas for the summer: 1. SUMMER READING. While you're resting in the yard on a lounge chair with a cool lemonade, why not read an organizing book you've been meaning to get to? or a marketing book? or a motivational book? 2. GET IN TOUCH. This is the perfect time of year to get in touch with past customers. While you're waiting for the kids to get their beach gear together, spend that time writing to some past customers to see if they're in need of a brush-up consulting or organizing session. 3. THINK OF YOUR GOALS. While you're setting up for a summer barbecue, think about some business goals for this month. You just set a goal to have a barbecue, and it's happening today. Same goes for your business goals. When you really want to do something, you simply work on it, and achieve it. 4. HOT SUMMER DEALS. Take advantage of the season by marketing a hot summer deal to your prospects. Perhaps you might offer a discounted rate on your services or products.
