Postage Fees Versus E-mail by Maria Gracia For years, business owners have been using the post office, UPS, Federal Express and other shipping companies to send information to prospective customers, or current clients. But between postage and printing costs, this could be a pretty costly method of contacting people. Instead, you can collect e-mail addresses from prospective customers and current clients, with their permission of course. Then, keep them up to date on your offers, services and products via an e-mail every so often, or a regulary scheduled e-mail newsletter. Your printing costs are eliminated completely with e-mail. That's a big savings right there. There are no postage costs with e-mail, and many e-mail listserv services are very low cost. In addition, it might take an hour or more to send out a mailing of 100 letters using the traditional postal method. With e-mail, you can send a hundred, ten thousand, a hundred thousand, or more, with the click of a button. What's easier than that? Use e-mail as a marketing tool, and you'll be able to contact an unlimited number of people, at a fraction of the price!
