Building Frequent Flyer Miles With Your Business Purchases by Maria Gracia Many airlines are involved in joint ventures with credit card partners. If you make a lot of business purchases and you enjoy traveling, you may consider using a credit card that is affiliated with your favorite airline. Basically, the way it works is for every dollar you spend on purchases, you get mileage credit applied to your frequent flyer card. Mileage can then be used for free or discounted air travel, car rentals, hotel accommodations and more. It's a great way to benefit from your purchases. My husband and I get 2 free domestic airline trips per year, just by using our Midwest Express Airlines credit card to make our business purchases. Check with your favorite airline to see if they have a credit card mileage program you can benefit from. If not, you can also try a credit card supplier, such as Capital One.
