Organizing Challenge Here are 5 mini challenges to get your “virtual life” organized This week’s mini challenges will help you get your “virtual life” organized…that’s right--they all have to do with that digital clutter that builds up. Ready, set, go! 1. Schedule an email response time frame: Rather than checking email as they arrive, set up a time in the morning or afternoon, like 30 minutes, when you read and respond to all of your email at once. This will ensure you get to your email every day, and will ensure email doesn’t turn into a distraction preventing you from getting other things done. Once you respond, delete the original message (use this frequently), or move it into a virtual folder for future reference (use this less frequently). 2. Delete past text messages: Did you know that all of those old text messages are taking up space on your phone? Select them all and delete them all. 3. What’s up with your phone photos? Ever since cell phone cameras became popular, we take tons of pictures…but they rarely leave our phones/ Transfer them to your computer this week, and save and/or print those that mean something to you. Then, delete them from your phone and make some room. 4. Put filters into action: If you see the same spam coming in over and over again from the same person, or with the same words in the subject line or body, use your filters to automatically delete these messages, without any work on your part at all. 5. Say goodbye to old software: If you’re not using software you have installed on your computer, uninstall it and remove it from your computer. You’ll be adding room for software you do use.
