Hi everyone Today, is the second day back to school and Dh just left for work ~ all is quiet... I had planned on getting tons done yesterday but I had a man underfoot Hopefully, I will find yesterday's energy and get that ton of stuff done today! JDI: *5 min ETE in every room *3 loads laundry *5 cards sent *make pudding *do ironing *put away books *go for run *work on hotspots/dust every room Diana: thank you. the funeral was on Sat, and then we had a balloon release on Mon after the open house. The other teachers have had a week to cope with the emptiness, and now it will be more of a reality for the kids... She was a hugger and a laugher, so lots of hugs being given and the laughter will come... One of the 5th grade teachers took her position ~ a really sweet, lovely woman and another woman from the community is filling the 5th grade postion ~ another lovely, lovely woman ~ so our hearts are warmed...

Good morning, all.
I am afraid I didn't get much done after I got home, yesterday. First of all, there was an accident on the freeway, which meant we didn't get home till almost 8:00 p.m. Then, my feet were really swollen, so, I spent a good hour or so on the sofa with my feet elevated. Did only the minimum - cooked rice for dinner (to go with leftovers from the night before), packed lunches, washed dishes, etc. No housework/cleaning.
This morning, woke up with a red and swollen right eye! Bathed the eye with cool water and the swelling is going down. This is the 2nd time this has happened this month! I think it maybe due to blocked sinuses; must remember to mention it to the dr. the next time I see him (in 2 weeks' time).
There was yet another accident on the freeway, this morning! So, my commute took almost 3 hrs! Fortunately, I was able to call the office to let them know I was going to be late.
JDIs for today:
- Tidy family room/laundry closet - Sweep back steps area

Bless: Be careful with the swollen feet. I would suggest calling the doctor regarding that.
Goodness 3 hours on the expressway! ((((((HUGS)))))). Wished we could helicopter it, wouldn't that be great!
Maureen: Sounds like a couple of lovely teachers stepping up to help fill the void left by the teacher who passed. It will take time, but the children are so traumatized when that happens.
Tinytina: Have fun at the airshow. There was one in Chicago last weekend!

Glad you didn't plan on doing all of that in one day Diane! Had me worried. If I had an entire day off and put my mind to it, I probably could get most done! At least the old me could have <sigh> General JDIs: - trying to wrap up a shopping cart for work and have run into a few glitches so I'm working on those - ramp up for our next 3 events - need to go over my 2011 tax numbers after talking to the accountant last week, and file my returns - fill out form for naturopath dr appointment next month DONE just need to do a 24 hr diet recap the day before - return defective humidistat - found RMA, need to pack - found padded envelope DONE - continue to chip away at clothes backlog - DUMPED ON BED lol - try to chip away at weeds in yard - WORKED ON MONDAY - see if my car will make it through the winter on my current springs/shocks - probably not - clean desk!!! - bank - Thursday - spray weeds on sidewalk/driveway - pull dead hard drive from computer for warranty - WAY overdue - stop at local furniture/repair store to look at couches (problem is, I have one thing in my head and my bf has something completely different!) DONE - they are killer expensive but I will still send them a pic of what I am interested in. A girl can always dream!
