So far today I had a lot of energy. It's cool and not raining!

Thoroughly cleaned the LR, vacuumed the couches and then blasted them with the steamer. (doggie smell is bad in the house right now) Then I covered them with clean covers.

Washed the LR wood floors twice with a damp mop. Cleaned the bathroom and the kitchen floors also.

Now I'll take my "no odor" type spray and squirt some around on the throw rugs and couch. A fragrant candle when I'm done and hopefully it will freshen up the house a little bit.

Finn needs another bath and is shedding awful. He used to let me vacuum him, but he isn't too happy lately when I try.

I'm going to keep moving here and see how much more I can get done.

I came in around midnight, re-read a few pages to keep the details fresh in my mind and went to bed around one. Eyes wide open at six, only had to get up at seven... so got up anyway, should have re-read all of my material because I missed a page and forgot to write up the stages of the activity I was presenting. Oh well I hope the teachers still liked my animation, I did say out loud all of the different parts and what where my objectives...

Aside from this it went well, very nerve racking because it's on the spot type of discussions but with a good group of person. I then met with the teacher and did an individual oral presentation of the work I did two months ago, that was good too. I did not turn in the big assignment; I gave myself permission not to be so bothered about today's improvisation and to finish it this week. I'm going back Friday at which time I'll do another oral presentation of the work I did before going on vacation. Only one person turned it in out of the five that were there, so not feeling too concerned. One gal had not written a-n-y-thing yet! Yikes that would freak me out! We're almost done and she hasn't started?

Got stuck in traffic for a while, stopped at a mall I like on the way home, got food at Costco too (bought myself a huge Asian noodle salad for supper, less expensive than the sushi I had planned but I have leftovers for tomorrow and Monday!) Stopped at DGF before home, trained for an hour then home. I was debating with myself if I would go or not, changed my mind a few times and finally went, glad I had my work out clothes in the car; in the end I felt guilty because last time was Wednesday... I ate outside watching the sun go down, showered and now to rest a bit! Tomorrow I work at 6:30; tonight I plan on going to bed early and getting a good night's sleep for once this week!

Next week will be hectic but nowhere near last week, I will do as I did last assignment, get up and be at the computer from 8 until noon, do my training and regular cleaning throughout the week, get ready and be at work at 2 until 10, wind down and be in bed by midnight until 7 then start over again! Love having time in the morning to do school work and then job work, I have no energy left when it's the other way around.

I also need to refresh my memory on the different teachings of the leading behavior therapists (Freud, Piaget, Erikson, Maslow...) and how to apply it to my daily work; will ask all of my co-workers to help me along the week, on pointing out what we do and how it relates; I need to know this on the tip of my fingers. Upon doing the presentation they will ask questions and it must look effortless (must not mix up who thinks what and what is this technique called...)

I'm feeling much better; the 'storm' has past. I know the 'season' is not over but it feels good not being so stressed for today. Thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers, it helped me tremendously. Tomorrow after work I'll be heading to DM's for supper, let’s hope she has up to date news on the future course of action.

Good job ladies!

Took some relaxing time to read a good book over the last two days from the library (last time I actually finished a book cover to cover was pre-DS several years ago!) Also sat out on the porch yest. afternoon to read a magazine from the library.

Scored some free sports tickets for DH and a friend last night, so DS and I had a mom/son movie date at home, complete with popcorn and apple juice smile Tackled a big pile of paperwork after DS went to bed. This morning, hit a kids consignment sale, bought 2 pj's and a book for 5 bucks. Stopped by two grocery stores on the way home for specials. Vacuumed the master bedroom and sucked all the cat hair off bathroom floor. Went to fun local event for several hrs, back to another event after naptime. Made a DVD (several months late!) for friend who we saw two times today. Met several great ppl over the last few days and exchanged info. for future playdates with kids.

So much to do, so little time. Tmorrow, am going to try to get a bike ride in the am since I haven't exercised in a week! Want to hit the pool with DS, then no plans yet afterwards.

Bubblegum, GREAT GOING!!! A huge pat on the back for you!!

Fleur, glad you got some me time! And sweet with your mom/son date!

Girls did great at their auditions. Will submit the entries tomorrow. (Must be done before Tues) Then we picked up some breadmaking supplies, and headed down to my inloves for a visit. Even took DMIL to the thrift store for the $5 bag sale! We split a bag and I came home with over 20 pieces. Some for me, the girls and some for a family of 8 boys! I had some room in the bag, so I started packing it in!

We visited a bit more with inloves, then stopped for a treat, Sam's and Wmart on the way home. Vegged on couch with DD#2 while DD#1 played on computer.

Think I'm going to watch tv for a bit, then head to bed. I can't seem to get my mind to shut off without DH here.

On a side note: DH and I are considering some kitchen reno. It's funny on how we're getting the decision. DH's coworker is selling his wife's motorcycle for $5,000. (Even lowered the price to $4,700 for us.) Anyway, we've been praying about it, but don't have peace about spending that much on something I may not get a lot of use out of it.

DH noticed, while I was gone, that the kitchen really is rundown. The cabinets are falling apart, the counter is bumpy and faded, the lights don't work properly and it's really small in there.

We both are agreeing that we could do SOMETHING to the kitchen with that $5,000 rather than the motorcycle. Which, of course, we'd get a LOT of use out of our money!! So DH has asked that I start writing down all the ideas I have and see if we can get someone in here to help us get an idea of what the cost would be and what we really could do.

I've drawn a few plans and made some notes. Now to get with my friend whose husband remodels for a living. It's exciting and scary to think about it! I would so love a better kitchen! There's not a lot of room in there and it really is falling apart!

I'll keep you posted! Cya!

Yesterday, I went to the Asian grocery store and stocked up on all the goodies I probably shouldn't have - almond crackers, sesame-peanut candy, lemon puff cookies and so much more! laugh

Today, I made some phone calls, did laundry (6 loads), including my bedding, remade my bed, watered the garden and started mending a quilt. It is one I made back in 1982 - 1 inch by 3 inch strips, in the Roman Stripe pattern. It's been in constant use (and much laundering) since I made it and quite worn in places. Today, I mended the backing which had ripped and am sewing new 1x3 inch strips over the pieces that are torn in the front. A hot summer day is not quite the ideal time to be sitting with a lap full of quilt, but that is how it is.

Wow, I am horrible about checking in here and updating! DH is getting the itch to move...again. We've only been here 6 months! He wants to move closer to work so he has a shorter commute. I see his point. I told him I refuse to move until we've been here at least a year AND reduce our belongings by at least 30%.

He got motivated and cleaned out half of the garage. We made one trip to the donation center with the back of our SUV full of stuff. The kids and I played "Pawn Stars" last night. I was buying their stuff from them (as opposed to having a garage sale like they wanted to make some $$ - I'm too lazy for that hassle!). I got two bags of toys from them and they made a little pocket change. smile Last weekend we played "Love It or Lose It" with all of their clothes and got rid of a lot of clothes.

I've got about 1/3 of the back of the truck loaded up again and a couple big contractor size bags in the house each about 1/2 full. I've sorted through and got rid of about half our bath towels, now I'm working on blankets and bed linens, then it's time to tackle my closet and drawers - again. I did a quick sort and "Love it or Lose it" when I was cycling laundry through, but there is stuff in the closet and drawers that doesn't even make it to the laundry...because it doesn't get worn!

Every few days, I manage to find between 10-15 papers for the recycle bin. I need to get to get my desk cleared off and papers filed so we can get rolling on school again.

Great going everyone!

I got the ironing totally finished - horaaaaaaah - today and I've got to wash the kitchen floor in a minutes.

I've sorted out a new schedule for housework to keep it down. My brothers have been totally absent in their housework or help of any kind, so if Dad ends up in a nursing home then it wont be on my shoulders but theirs.

I looked at rental places and have found some in this area, but pet friendly ones are very rare. I am determind if it comes down to it I wont move anywhere without my dog, since it would be the local council forcing us out then it will be up to them to rehome us in an appropriate place me thinks. If Dad does go in a home, I hope to get a place close to their so I can visit him daily.

Tomorrow I just need to vacuum through downstairs and then get onto my new schedule. Next week is going to be hard, but I cross fingers that it will be not as hard as I'm thinking.
