Waterlady, you are an inspiration! WOOOO HOOOO!
Yesterday was fun, first time getting a facial, how nice and relaxing! I went grocery shopping, came back home, ate lunch and unpacked the food then did a bit of cleaning. Litter box, swept all over, one load of laundry, dishes, collected the garbage to the outside can and went through the weekly flyers.
I went to the mall, got a few items of clothing on sale and some running items: a sport bra (what a pain trying them on!), a bandana (to stop the sweat from running down my nose) and a new pair of running shoes (specially designed). Going to try them out on DGF's treadmill in about an hour, the salesman said to wear them inside to see if I find them comfortable before using them outside, I can be refunded if need be.
Work was hard, the kids (and I!) miss my usual co-workers, they react by not listening to the new girls, being impolite or throwing fits! Can't wait for today, not! I think I'll take them to the pool, that's always a good time filler plus separating the group is always good; end of summer is near and they are starting to get on each other's nerves too.
Time to get busy, I need to do more research, do my training, get ready for work and sort papers. Have a nice day!

VanHW, glad things are improving by you, every "babystep" gets us further.
Diana, Finn just had a bath, could use another one in this heat.
Purdy, I do hope you work things out with the ward and your dad is better soon.
BBGum, Woooo Hoooo on the workouts! Running has never been my interest, but brisk walking I love. Sounds like you've made a firm decision to keep going!!
Thank you everyone for the support in my giving up smoking. I have to admit I do miss it, but I am loving the money in my pocketbook.
Yesterday I made some morning phone calls then headed to the laundromat. Got two large loads done, one my clothes and the other the "work" and dog towels. Damp dried the work towels and hung them when I got home.
Took Finn for a walk in the trail, was not a good idea, he is limping again.
Cut the front lawn and outside the fences. Borrowed Laura's weed whacker for when I get home today. Pulled a bunch of weeds and had to rake the side of the backyard. The black walnut continues to drop all over the yard and now the leaves are beginning to slowly fall. I hope I will never live near one of these trees again. Filled a lawn bag with the debris.
The girls came over and I made "reuben style" hot dogs for dinner on the grill. Was interesting.
Washed the kitchen floor last night before going to bed.
Have two jobs today, I should be done around 1:30, then I will work on the back yard.

Bah! Garden is full of flying ants today.
Paid some bills today, set up a direct debit to pay the water over the next year and moved money between accounts. Fascinating I know, stop yawning at the back there!
Have a good day everyone!

Everyone is keeping quite productive!
Finally getting back into the swing of things after a month's vacation. It was wonderful seeing family and friends but sure nice to get back home again.
Yesterday I got laundry done (every bit of it put away too except for one quilt!) and dgd vacuumed for me. Got sheets and towels changed, bathrooms cleaned and got my kitchen cleaned up. Took the leaf out of the table for something a bit different. Also worked in my sewing room/office trying to get it to where it was really functional. I think I've finally figured it out. This morning I worked on finishing up in there and managed to get my desk cleaned up and functional too. Have some filing to do yet but it's way better than it was. I even got it vacuumed!
Also got the bathroom wiped/rinsed/sprayed, made my bed, scooped the litter box and got wastebaskets emptied and out to the trash bin in time for trash day tomorrow. When I get home this afternoon I'll pull the hamper up from the basement and get that wash going. After dh leaves for a meeting and dgd leaves for a birthday party this evening I hope to get into my sewing room closet and start making a dent in that mess. It will be so nice to have that in better shape. Lots to keep me busy!
Have a great one all!

Waterlady: yes, I do have wooden floor under the black foam. It doesn't come perfectly clean but good enough to put floating floor over when the time comes. Just finished mowing the lawn. Thank God DH bought me a ride on mower this year. I have a sore knee so wouldn't have been good at doing it walking.... And I sweated bullets even though I was on the ride on

I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DD#2 and I made it safely home yesterday afternoon! We unloaded the car, I showered and we both laid down for a nap! We were tired!!
DH came home, went to vote, fixed supper, ate, then vegged for the rest of the night! We so needed that!
DD#1 is at camp in another state. Am praying for safety and God to really speak to her heart this week...and most of all that she'll listen!!
DD#2 and I got busy this morning. Made pancakes and yummy smoothies! So missed them! Got a load of laundry on the line while DD started cleaning the hall bath. It needed some deep cleaning. We cleaned out all the drawers, relined them with paper, and put stuff neatly back into place. Tossed a whole Wmart sack full of stuff as we went along.
Cleaned off the entire counter, put up two command hooks for their hand towels. Before they were just laying on the counter. Really want a cleaner look for them.
Well DD and I are tired. We're going to nap for an hour, then see if we want to finish the bath, then go grocery shopping, or visa-versa. Either way both needs to be done. Two sisters from our church who are the girls' ages are coming to stay for a week while their mom goes out of state for a surgery. We're keeping them for one week, and another family whose closer to their school is keeping them for the other week. I'm excited to pay it forward as someone did this for me when my best friend's husband was diagnosed with an inoperable tumor. I was gone for a week without my young girls. Praying we can be a good help to this family in their time of need.
Cya later! It's so good to be back with you all again! Will catch up on your progress later!

Forgot to add that I also weeded on the back side of the house, and one front flower bed. Watered a little bit with the cooler water. Then cut down some weeds that almost looked like small trees! I figure that if I can spend just 30 minutes every morning doing some kind of yard work, it'll be looking good in no time!
Poor DH has been trying to keep up with everything, but has hardly had any time. Plus we're in major drought here. While I was gone, someone burned 300 acres of land, simply because they chose to burn something..even when we've had a ban for a couple of months now. We've also had small grass fires from people dropping cigarettes out their car windows. Very dangerous stuff here!
Almost all my plants look dead. So now that I'm home, I'm going to use all our extra water (baths, dishes, etc) to try to keep my bushes and plants alive. We'll see how it goes.
Okay, now it's really nap time for me! Cya!

Good that you are safely home Wendy! Sounds like you have a lot of pent up energy! Keep going, and napping also. Sometimes you get a second wind!
Definitely nice to play it foward. That was Linda's DH, right? I remember that. How is the gal doing?
~~~~~~ Took lunch over to my friend and visited a couple of hours and had a lovely time. Home now just before a little rain fell. Going to relax now after all that driving.
