Waterlady, I thought the strips would be a treat to remove compared to the black foam. confused Yesterday, all I did was change some of the flowers from the swag my sister-in-law had made me for the entry years ago. I like the new look.

Today was another hot day which ended up being a beach day. Come home just in time to shower and have to leave now for work. Can't wait to see what the new week will bring......

Andreala, I thought last time you posted (last year???) you retired. You are back at work??

The strips require special type of pliers to make it go easiest, go look at them at your hardware store or big box store in NB. Makes a big difference in getting those strips up, believe me, mom had three rooms of that stuff till someone introduced me to the "special" pliers to remove the strips. Then, it went real easy. Otherwise, it was a nightmare.

Having a crazy day, will post more in the morning.

Today I had a lie in thanks to my wonderful DH smile When I got up I mowed the lawn and tidied the garden a little, then went over to the in-laws for dinner.

When we got home we moved the trampoline to it's new place in the garden and recovered the raised bed at the back with tarpaulin. It is now all ready for the decking frame when finances allow us to purchase it smile

Purdy Bear, most definitely, if they give medals for being a sofa Olympian, I'd be competing with you for them! laugh

Productivity today included going shopping with DD, 2 loads of laundry, watering both front and back gardens and sewing myself a blouse with fabric from the stash. smile

LOL, a sofa Olympian!! Love it!!

I was supposed to visit my cousins yesterday, several of them flew in from around the country and are all nearby at their sister's. The forecast was so bad for t-storms and flooding, I decided to cancel going. As usual, they were wrong, the storms never came and we had little rain.

I worked in the office filing and tossing papers. Haven't been doing my paperwork all summer, I need to sit down for an afternoon and get it all done. Did some ebay also. Laura came over and we ate dinner on the deck, a salad and grilled chicken.

This morning I have one nice job and then I am heading up to my cousins for the afternoon.

I've got a bit done this morning:

Fish fed
Dog walked
Washing done and to dry
Floor of bedroom cleared and stuff organised into catagories ready for the purge.
Ironing done
Two meals cooked
Call to MP done.

Off to be a Sofa Olympian, really working on the relaxation times.

WL:
We got the storms! They caused a ton of damage and they cancelled a big event at the lake because of the lightening, etc.
First time ever!!!

Had a fun time at my family bday party.
Yesterday, I did laundry (more to do today) and knitted,
Today more laundry and some PUPAing here.

Waterlady, what a good memory you have! I was retired for 14 months and went back to work last September. I didn't go back to work at the hospital because I didn't want the responsability of being a nurse anymore. I work in a Special Care home. It pays only 1/3 of what I used to make but it's good enough for me and I love my job.

Thanks for the info for removing those strips. I'll do the other bedroom with the black foam underlay before I tackle those. The other bedroom will become my office (my desk is already there) and we keep bringing pieces of foam out in the hall. (We being me and the dog... LOL)

We had storms too, lights flickered a few times but that's all. I was at work, some kids weren't too happy about it; fortunately it was movie night and all was back to normal at bedtime.

I went walking/running outside again this morning, starting to get the hang of it. Will work out on the tread mill Wednesday and outside again on Friday. Have been keeping a food journal too, also making a conscious effort at work not to eat the dessert. I bring a low fat yoghurt or fruit instead and I have a bag of carrots for when the hunger strikes and it's nowhere near meal time! Hopefully I can see results soon, it's been a month.

On the home front I've dusted the furniture in the bedroom and living room, decluttered the top of the dresser and the coffee table. I've put the mini carpet to soak in the tub; it's the one I keep underneath the litter box... I need to put away the dishes and water the outside plants, one needs spraying I think it has bugs in it. Then I can finish the sewing project I started.

I have a few errands to run but it's looking like rain again, should do the errands now and the sewing later... Off today so I've got time smile
