Way to go Maureen!
I agree Bless- days off shouldn't all be about getting work/errands done. You deserve to enjoy it.
Way to go Dianaro!
Good luck Bushlady!
Didn't write out a list today but got lots of errands ran. Took out garbage. Made some pickled beets and a cheesecake which I will finish tomorrow.

Too bad about the flipflops, Maureen. I remember that they have a rule against them in some clubs in Australia, and the daughter of friends got barred and we all had to go eat someplace else!
Diana, that was one major success, congrats!
I did some ironing yesterday, got a haircut, ran some errands, not too much done after that except for supper and clean up, then we walked round the yard and later watched a DVD.
Today;
Mass and breakfast with two friends - done Dailies Launder bathroom mats - done Launder white pants and tee shirts - done Clean powder room - done Dust upstairs and vacuum - done Take out compost - done Steam clean bathroom floors upstairs Putter around then, as we might be going out this evening.

I haven't posted for a couple days but I'm continuing to get a few things done each day. A lot of what I accomplish though is "the urgent" - cook meals, serve meals, clean up from meals. These grandkids like their food! LOL
This afternoon we are planning on going to the circus that is in our small town. The grandkids are looking forward to it! And that's day 1 of a busy weekend - tomorrow and Sunday nights there will be special fireworks displays. And my DD, the mother of my 2 DGSs will be around as well. I'm not sure what she has in mind. There was "talk" of going to the large waterslide complex in the area. No matter what, it will be a busy weekend for sure!
For today - - empty and refill d/w; run when full - buy circus tickets (the best deal is to purchase "in advance") - attend circus with kidlets - laundry - at least 2 loads of clothes to wash, dry, fold and sort. I expect each person to put their own stuff away. - take car to the garage for an oil change - other tasks?

Bushlady: It's a safety thing with the theatre ~ no open toed or open heeled shoes...
Not sure if I'm coming or going right now... DDs had their swimm tests this a.m. ~ surprised me ~ the one I thought might need another year passed, and the one I wasn't worried about is needing another year at her level.. Home for a bit, then out to lunch with DFs, ran several errands, home to grab some leftover "Dora" party supplies to pass on to a bday girl having a Dora themed party, to grocery store to get a "non messy" dinner for DD1 and off to the show in a few minutes ~ I just want to have a nap! since about 11 this a.m. ! Also did a chlorine strip treatment on dd's hair. I will drop her off and then come home for a few hours... not sure if dh is coming to the play with me tonight or tomorrow.... in btwn I need to have a quick dinner ready, and get things ready for the bday party tomorrow ~ bday cards and a gift set of cards..
Have fun at the circus Darlene! When is your wedding Tina?

The kids and I went to the circus last night. It was a small production but very enjoyable. The kids enjoyed it except for one issue - a Nanny (me) who did too good a job at saying "no" to all the extras! Poor kids (not) who will only have a few snapshots to remember the circus.
Now for today - - fold and put away the rest of the clean laundry (clothes) - wash, dry and put away a load of towels - keep up with the ever present dirty dishes - d/w and hand washing - cooking and serving meals - other tasks? - enjoy family time

Oh, Darlene, you are too hard on those poor, deprived kids, denying them all the fun extras! They'll be scarred for life! What did people do before souvenirs were invented? JDIs for today: - Take DD to gymnastics & back- Take DD to the computer store and back - SUNDAY - Continue the Search for the misplaced item (seems to be truly misplaced!) - File - Knit- Sew new lunch bag for DD- Bake muffins- visit cousin

The wedding is Feb. 2013.
Still hoping you find your lost item Bless.
Hope you had fun at the circus, Darlene.
Still celebrating your success Dianaro.
Maureen, hope the swimming tests went well. Its a vital skill everyone should know.
Way to go Bushlady on your list.
Sorry if I missed anyone else!
