Darn, thought I would finally get the ROTY done before July ended, but too much going on, so back to the basement, but hopefully this week will finish it up with my DGS's help.

Also enrolled in another garage sale at the card store, so I can part with more older stamps, paper, etc., and get newer items for free (if I sell my old stuff). Anyhow, with DGSs help I am getting items up and into the garage for a trip to GW, hopefully tomorrow. Then to the book store to sell some of those.

After that is completed I will do the biggest happy dance ever!

My August ROTM will continue to be my garden/yard. There are grass to cut, weeds to deal with and veggies to harvest. That, and dealing with grandchildren, will keep me quite busy.

I will be continuing with the 3rd bedroom. Still going through my DM's papers. I found my letter to Santa from 1966...1 baby doll and 2 rubber ducks were what I requested.

Well, only two more boxes to bring up stairs and move the file cabinet to a more convenient place. Swept the floor, have some paper shredding to do, and some sorting thru the card making supplies for the garage sale, wash the windows and (DRUM ROLL) I WILL BE FINISHED WITH THE ROOM OF THE YEAR!!!!! I cannot believe it. Whata blessing having my grandson here. We are having wonderful conversations and having his legs helping me is

Diana, I can't remember if I received the baby doll (I probably did), but I remember the stuffed toy duck (yellow terry cloth body) I received instead of the rubber ducks - there were no rubber ducks available in that time and place (which, probably, is why I asked for them from Santa!)

Well my room is completed! After dinner we went down, and finihed up. Funny thing happened after we finished, there were some fireworks going off near me (maybefrom the Olympics winning medals) and I said to my grandson,that is to celebrate our finishing up the basement! LOL

Today is drop off donations, and some errands. Boo Hoo, he is going home tomorrow. Will really miss him. Another good thing came out of him being here, I cooked , and have a few leftovers to freeze! LOL

Nope, hurry and work during the Olympics is my guess. It just seemed funny to hear them....so I just decided to claim the noise for completing it!

I have't been doing good in ROTM but I'm going to join again. I so wish it was the attic but it was 112 so not this month. This month is getting ready for school, getting room set up, and getting on schedule. I want my act together this year.

I've worked some in my room. I can't find the pictures I had made so still looking for them. I will be working this Thursday and three days next week. Should be enough time.

STarting back on my scedule. Need to just sit down and plan. Will do that tonight. I got a new date book to carry and that will help me.

I am asking for prayers for Oklahoma. We are burning up. We've had whole towns burn down and in the heat (105-112) our firefights are so tired. And they are volunteer ones for the most part. I cried last night watching the news talking to people that had lost everything.
