Wow, its August already!

Today's list:
-clean up my old computer
-sort email inboxes (1st is completely done, 2nd is down to 50)
-clear my old camera (download pictures)
-sort coupons

Yesterday I went to the "nearby" city and took care of some financial and business stuff that needed doing. My hubby's death has messed up my government pension - "they" claim that I did not send in the "right forms/information". Yesterday I went to my income tax preparers and they will take care of that for me. Also, I submitted the application for my passport renewal. I went shopping and met with some dear friends for a nice visit.

It was a nice day for me. I left the grandkids at home with my adult DS in charge. They survived! LOL I didn't get home until 11 pm.

For today -
- bake buns
- finish getting my purchases out of car and find homes for it (last night I dealt with the groceries but nothing else)
- put frosting on a birthday cake (DS's birthday is tomorrow)
- chase more weeds in the garden
- check on van repairs
- book a time to change oil in my car
- other tasks?

I did 3 out of 6 on my list, yesterday. Took a break from the paperwork and knitted, instead, while watching Olympics coverage!

TA DAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Two more boxes to be brought up, windows washed, file cabinet moved, books brought up and the ROTY will be finished!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can sort thru stamps, etc, with babysteps to sell at the garage sale at my leisure. So excited and relieved~ and thankful my grandson was willing to help me out so much.


DONE!!!!!!!! FINI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY DANCING, and I even heard fireworks outside tonight, I said to my grandson, they are for us for finishing up the basement FINALLY~ LOL

We had a wonderful downpour yesterday after a long drought, and I hadn't even done my raindance! We came back from town without finishing our errands because we didn't have umbrellas.

Yesterday afternoon I studied some legal advice regarding DSF's will - an emotionally draining time but DH understands that I am upset and that helps.

Haven't got a lot done today, but the duvet cover got washed and hung on the line, and I washed my hair. Went into town with DH and had lunch out and ran the errands. Of course his hardware shopping activities took up a lot of time as he always runs into people he knows! There wasn't much of the afternoon left when we got back.

Did the dailies
Picked up a passport form (don't you wish they were for 10 years, Darlene?)
Took back an apple sectioner that fell apart!
Bought a new hummingbird feeder and assembled it.
Fetched in the garbage can and recycling
Took out the compost
Put up the new hummingbird feeder
Refilled the peanut feeder
Photographed and identified a butterfly

Need to fold some towels and then I'm done for today.

I took today and tomorrow off from work, so hope to get lots accomplished! I've a mile-long to do list, but don't want to spend all my vacation time doing housework & running errands, either.

Been looking for a battery for the leaf blower forever it seems. Nice to know I am not the only one who does that! LOL

Well our list is complete, and we went out to lunch to celebrate.
Had a car load of items to donate, sell. Bummed out on prices at the bookstore, but decided it is worth getting them out of the house.

I went on a hunt myself for my camera cord... turns out it was still in my craft bag from vacation ~ I hadn't unpacked it and obviously didn't return it to its "home".

DDs had their final lesson (exams are tomorrow). DD1 is at rehearsal and DD2 has a friend over. We had to make a second trip out to the theatre as DD forgot to wear her runners and wore the taboo flipflops... wouldn't be so bad (20mile round trip)~ just have to go through 2 construction zones is all...
