All I did this morning was two errands, and came right home. Suppose to go over 100 today! Staying inside all day. Hopefully it won't be as hot tomorrow. Dr. said she doesn't want me out in this type of weather.

It is hard to feel any motivation in the heat... I find I get a burst of energy in the evening and try to make the best of it ~ without getting too keyed up to sleep... got everything on my list done except the power ETE. The problem is, as ever, that things don't really have a home. Looking at actually getting some furniture for the girls' rooms ~ maybe that will help! Wed JDI: *swim lessons DONE *reading quizes at library DONE *ETE ~ babystep *read book DOING

It makes sense to stay in when it is so hot, even without a health problem. We are fortunate in that we had some light rain yesterday and it is cool (22°C) and overcast this morning, so quite pleasant after our heat here in Canada.
Yesterday I didn't feel up to going to town at all. I went to the mailbox on my bike. I did get some ironing done after I found where I had hidden it, lol! Wrote 2 e-mails. Made a "butterfly feeder" and put a chunk of frozen overripe banana on it. It hangs from a bush outside the window and I hope it will attract butterflies and moths.
DH took off for the dentist (root canal, poor guy), around 7.30 am, dropping off the little car for repair on the way, so I am awaiting a call to fetch him in the car we keep for long journeys. I went back to bed for a while and managed to get back to sleep.
JDI Dailies Wash hairbrushes - DONE Pick up DH, return video, mail letter, pick up a couple of grocery items Clean and refill hummingbird feeder Fold some towels from the drier Sewing

O, I love tea parties Maureen. Too cute!
Bushlady: Hoping the repairs were reasonable.
Bless: You and DD are sooooo busy!
~~~~~~~~ Had a great luncheon. Saw some of the crafting ladies for the first time in a long time.
Put the trash cans in before I left. Stopped at DS2s house to get some ice. I don't have an auto ice maker, and with this weather, the ladies need to hydrate.
House is in pretty good shape, so just put out serving pieces, treats and tea in the morning.
I had my potassium levels checked during my physical years ago as apparently high blood pressure medication can mess your levels up & boy, I couldn't believe how low the levels were. The doc started me trying to eat a lot of high potassium foods, but I couldn't eat enough to bring my levels up so now I have to take 3 huge horse pills (prescribed tablets of Potassium Chloride 20 mEq TA).
I have to take them w/in 2 minutes w/a full glass of water. They are so large so I cut them in half w/one of those pill cutters, but it doesn't get a very even edge & even half the pill is still huge so I often end up gagging on even 1/2 of the tablet & having to spit it out!!
Apparently, there is a liquid form so when these bottles are empty (do mail-order meds through my husband's work so they send 3 mos. at a time) I'll try those. I've had heat exhaustion before (not heat stroke) so I have a real hard time w/keeping my temperature regulated, as well.
When hiking in AZ, my husband has to carry so much water for me. HOPE I can get to hiking again soon. Foot surgery on 4/4 is not healing well. Getting very discouraged w/the increase in pain & inability to stand or walk.
We were supposed to go out to dinner tonight, but I just can't do it. Pain just wears you out...
Saw surgeon last week & he wants me to see pain management doc...
Ice, ice & more ice...
I can do some paperwork, but it is hard to concentrate w/the throbbing pain.--Suzy
