Bless, had to chuckle, I know I'm not alone with 'giggly' parts, thanks for the reminder... It's just that I have battled my inner demons for quite a while and now I want to practice a sound mind in a healthy body mentality. Since I did see a shrink for a couple of months and feel less focused on my past, I'm ready to move on to the future. I want it to be a healthy one; do not want to wake up one day with 'should have' so I'm doing it now. My mother is having problems with her lungs because she smoked all her life. Do not want to have heart problems, diabetes or other obesity related illnesses. Just trying to nip anything in the bud, so to speak.

I did go for a walk alone yesterday. Will have to think and bring my watch next time, went another route and only walked 45min. DS arrived in the evening and asked if I wanted to run with him! Oh my, not ready for that. I do admire those of you who do.

I'm on vacation since Sunday, spending a few days with DM at her camping grounds, leaving tomorrow and back Monday. Suitcase is packed, car trunk has been emptied, maps to site have been printed (never went there on my own). I have a few things to take care of today, need to go to the grocery store, put gas, oil and check tire pressure at the garage. Laundry is done, kitchen is clean, need to dust in the living room, sweep/mop the floors and enjoy my evening with friends.

I cleaned the fish tank and the litter box. I went through the refrigerator and today is trash day so no lingering odors... have left a phone number to both kids, and DD will swing by to see if the cat is okay.

I have made reservations for next week; DD and I are spending two days at a spa hotel. Private beach, water activities, body scrub and massage included. Nice locality can walk around and visit too. Took a lot just to make the phone calls, hope I get over this fear soon, and hate the way it stresses me out until I work up the courage to pick up the phone!

Got my list of to-do, only 9:30 and have crossed a few! wooohooo! Might have time to bask in the sun this afternoon!

Waterlady - Yep the rest is what I needed.

Bubblegum - I know exactly what you mean about health and fitness connected to parents. My weight was starting to concern me so I started to exercise more (my eatting is restrictive already) and I lost 3 Ib this week, so I'm pleased with that. My Dad has lost 8 toes to Diabetes so that is my main drive. I have to get down below a 32 inch waist to help reduce the risk of inheriting it.

Yesterday I was dead to the world, woke up with fatigue and it took me all morning to get going. I just got the very basic done and that was it. I think the antibiotics wiped me out.

Today I feel a lot better, I got the sitting and front rooms done, sorted out some ironing to put away, and I've done a little knitting. Dad polished some shoes for me after which I successfully deligated to him, and then I cleaned out the shoe cleaning stuff finding 6 tins of polish totally dry.

More occasional showers today, but up north one village has flooded 3 times in the same amount of weeks.

After I signed off here yesterday I "pushed" myself into the garage for a while.

I used the plastic boxes and sorted some items. Tossed a whole bunch of junk. Gathered some work related items and grouped them. Took two small breaks, then called it quits. I am getting excited, I'm almost done with the garage purging and grouping. I think I am going to tackle building my own shelving unless I convince Ray to do it for me tomorrow. Almost everything is in plastic bins, no more cardboard or paper boxes in there from now on.

This is the first go-around toss.

Walked Finn back and forth down the block so I didn't exert his leg. Honestly, he walks/heels so beautifully when I do that it's totally amazing. I don't even have to hold the leash, I can drape it around my neck. Versus when we go on the trail and I am pulled for a mile! LOL!

BBgum and Purdy, I, too, am trying to stay healthy, just have to quit smoking and think I will try the laser treatment again. It has worked in the past for me. It's costly, but not if it works!

Today I just did a quick job, and am waiting for my DGF to call and I'm supposed to color her hair. She has a pool so I'll go for a swim. In the meantime, I have got to finish up the garage so Ray can work there in the morning.

Everyone, you're all doing such great jobs!! Hope those of you who are sick will get better soon!

Went to get another load today. That's three this week. The girls and I are tired. The pickings were small today. We filled about 1/3 of the truck with small scraps, then DD#2 said she had to go to the bathroom. We left, found a bathroom, did some shopping and went back to the woodpile. While we were gone, then dumped another load and two people were already gathering from it. There was room, so we parked next to it and started ourselves. Found some good pieces. So thankful as they were better than what we had been picking up earlier!

After we hit two stores, then drove home. Man, did the sleep monster hit me! That was one of the longest drives home! Came home, unloaded the wood, took a shower, ate lunch, then proceeded to take a nap!! TWO HOURS!! Now I'm trying to get back into the swing of things before DH gets home and we need to head to church.

Well, DD#2 wants to play a game, so I'll got do that. That'll help get my brain in gear!! Cya!

Impressed with everyone. Easy going day here...walked the dogs, played with DS, made new waffle recipe that was pretty good, went out to the lake to take a walk and feed the ducks, ate lunch at Mcd's, stopped by used bookstore where DS got store credit for a summer reading program. Got 10 bucks credit and got a few good books. Met MIL at the warehouse club and bought essentials. Had to make some phone calls to finalize work holiday schedule. Going to tackle some stuff around the house during DS' nap.

Was a work at home day for me. Very hard to stay focused on office work when it's so sunny outside! Luckily since I worked on Monday (my usual day off) I didn't have to do too much.

DS's friend has been staying with us since Sunday and will be going home in the morning. Hasn't really been much extra work and I know DS has enjoyed it.

Tonight I still need to clean up the kitchen (finish unloading the dishwasher, reload and do a couple dinner dishes). Have one load of laundry to fold and put away. But first DD wants to play a card game outside on the deck so that will come first!

My day got all turned around yesterday!

DGF had a change of plans and decided to come over here instead later in the afternoon. I spent almost 4 hours in the garage, rearranging to make room for Ray to fix the beam, sweeping, and tossing. I have two large bins that I will have to slide out in the driveway today when he gets here, they are full of heavy work equipment.

I have a list of things to ask him for advice on. If I ever get my money from the estate, I have some renovation plans for the house and will use him to do them.

DGF came over with her DD, we ordered take out Chinese. Laura came over as well as Mary and her DD. We had a lot of fun and everyone left as it got dark. I never did color her hair!

Today I am going to clean up the deck, then work some more in the garage (I'm getting so excited to see it shaping up).

Waterlady - Congratulations for giving up smoking, just keep it up 1 minute at a time all builds into hours, days and months. My Dad gave up on my birthday in 1976 and has never smoked again.

Feeling a bit iffy today so just doing the light stuff. I folded all the ironing and need to get it done, but it wont be today.

We had a new recycling bin delivered today, we don't need to as we already have one the same, so we've repurposed it out the back for the buckets. If our original goes walkies, as they often do I can get it quickly back out the front.

Glad you had a fun evening WL, and also got so much done in the garage. Hoping Ray comes up with some reasonable prices and ideas!

Jodi:
You are another busy gal!

Purdy:
Good thinking on doing light work only.

I spent yesterday relaxing after my oral surgery, and putting ice packs off and on all evening. Not hurting too bad, but swollen...not a biggie. Still have a few things to do today, and will prepare for UFP group tomorrow. Love paper plates! LOL
