Don't over do things WL!
Wendy: Cannot wait to happy dance with you.
Taking it easy, too hot to do any more than water the flowers. Watching the birds and squirrels drinking from my waterfall fountain.

Really hot here too Diana, had to go into "lockdown", everything closed like it's winter. Hate that!!
House is starting to cool off, maybe I'll get some energy to do something inside. Office out of control AGAIN. It happens so fast!

Finally had an evening at home last night. It was great.
Got DH's cell phone working again, laundry, made a nice dinner, made a birthday cake for my DM to bring to her at work today (her special favorite), got kid's stuff ready for swimming today, and other general puttering/cleaning.
Long day at work today. Heading out soon to meet the family at baseball practice and then will head home. The All Star tournament starts tomorrow. Need to have camera ready and DS's uniform ready too. Will have breakfast in the morning with family. Very excited for tomorrow and hope the boys do well and are not too distracted by the carnival right across the street!

Hold off on the Happy Dancing, Diana. Didn't seem to get to the basement to sew! Rats!
Did help the girls a bit with their chores, juiced with DD#2 and prepare supper. I even took a nap! Guess I needed it! Oh yeah, the girls and I did switch out a rug my DMIL gave us for the living room. Then took the "old" one and put it under the dining table. Took the old dining table rug and will put it on the back porch. Then she also gave us some wood dining chairs, so we replaced ours. Our old ones that she gave us years ago were from her old restaurant that they owned. Did I tell you I love my DMIL????
Pray for us tomorrow. Going to Inloves to swim, but after that we're supposed to be in a parade (from 5pm-7pm). It's supposed to be in the 100's. Been having the girls drink more water today, to get ready for it. Will have water with us. Maybe even pack some fruit too.Anything to prevent heat exhaustion. DD#2 has to wear one of those bug costumes that usually little kids wear. Only covers her shirt, but still that's an extra layer in this heat!
Will let you know how we fair! Cya!

With this heat wave across the country, please be careful Wendy and Jodi!!
The house cooled down pretty quickly. Laura insisted we sit outside later, she froze at work all day with the a/c. Mary walked by with her daughter and hung out with us till dark. I hooked up my "mister" to the deck and we kept nice and cool. That thing works great!
I really need to clean while it's still cool this morning. House needs a good vacuuming and dusting. I'll do a load of laundry first and hang it out.

Purdy, at least you got the ten minutes. Think of it as a babystep instead of being discouraged you couldn't do more.
So far I got the whole downstairs vacuumed thoroughly, moved the furniture, etc. Load of laundry done and hung up. Dishes all done. Fed the dog, now taking a mini break. Have a ton of energy this morning.

~~~~~~~~~~~ Really not too much being done. Little crafting, reading and resting, watering plants. Too hot for anything.
Productivity, yesterday, included going to the bank, grocery shopping, a load of laundry, sewing on my quilt top, doing the dishes, and ETEing the kitchen. Apart from that, I slept - for 6 hrs!  Today, so far, I've called the gymnastics studio to excuse DD from today's class; watered the front garden; laundered the sofa covers; covered the sofas with spare covers; and contemplated breakfast! French toast with fresh strawberries sounds good, doesn't it? If I add some bacon to it, I can call it brunch.
