We're attending a large outdoor party Sunday. It's a potluck, and we're bringing a spiral ham, and mustard. It is going to be hot!!! We froze some water bottles, and some dampened washcloths to help cool ourselves down. I have sunblock, and bug repellent. Any other suggestions?

A hat is a great suggestion. I always take my large golf umbrella or even our beach umbrella when we attend my son's baseball games. If you will be sitting for any length of time it keeps most of your body in the shade and the beach umbrella style you can stick into the ground and it's hands free.

Sunglasses?

If you have access to water I suggest a pan of water to put your feet in while you sit. If you can keep your feet cool it helps to cool the whole body.

I put my feet in a bucket of cold water on the patio when I sit out and read in the hot weather.

Enjoy your party. I hope you have a great time.

A bucket for the feet is a great idea, not sure what I have available, but will take a quick look in the garage. I have a white bucket hat, I can sprinkle with water before wearing.
