not much how 'bout you"
Actually there has been a lot. I had surgery for my pinched nerve last Aug. My back gets tired and sore if I stand too much, but nothing like the pain I was feeling before. I seem to be completely recovered from my heart attack. I am now taking a pill for my diabetes. I so do not want to have to take shots.
DS and his DW moved out last Mar-Apr. and DD moved in, in May. At least her stuff is here. Between long hours of study, and her fiance' (They met at here brother's wedding, she caught the bouquet, he picked up the garter) we haven't seen much of her. She successfully finished her first yeat of PT, got pinned, and received her white coat. Now she's planning on moving out. They will get married next Mar. 2013, between her 2nd and 3rd year, just family, and have a big wedding and party once she graduates in April-May 2014.
So it looks like i will get the use of my basement for the first time in over 7 years in this house.
I lost my beautiful lab, Camille, last summer. She was 15, in pain, confused, and unhappy. We put her down, and both kids wanted to be there with us. I still tear up when I think of her. A couple of weeks later, DD lost her 19 yo cat.
We have been busy, and away this summer, so I am not currently attending the gym. I plan to rejoin come Sept.
In the last few months I have reorganized the pantry closet, the kitchen drawers and cabinets, redid my recipe binder, my clothes drawers and my closet. I bought some drawstring/elastic skirts, and some new tops. I bought new skirt hangers too, to go with the existing matching shirt hangers.
Now I'm getting bogged down, working on my desk, and the craft/storage/junk room. I am hoping to be decluttered, and ready to move my sewing desk, and exercise items to the basement when DD moves her stuff out.
Now I'm going to go lurk on the other threads, and see what's going on.

Hi, happy to hear about all the changes and progress. How exciting to have another wedding to think about. I hope you like the intended and future son-in-law. Why not join us on one of the threads while you plow through the tasks in your craft/storage room. We'd love to cheer your every success.

I like him very much. He's my son's best friend from the Army Reserves, he was best man at the wedding, and DH and I have known him about 10 years. Somehow he and DD always just missed meeting each other. I thought they would like each other, I just never expected love at first sight. lol.

Not much more has gotten done, and what I did do is falling apart. I am having very low energy levels, and low motivation since my hysterectomy Aug/Sept.
What I do all day. Feed cats, start coffee, let the dog out of her kennel, pet her, let her outside and make sure she has food and water. Eat breakfast. Empty dishwasher.
go on computer.......Shower, dry hair, walk dog, go on computer.......read or watch tv make dinner, eat, help DH clean kitchen go on computer, watch TV or read Bed.
Some days I manage a second walk for the dog, or vacuum.
DD has moved more stuff out, but not enough for me to start utilizing the basement area.
The good news is that DS and DDIL are going to have a baby in June. The mixed news is that he wants to move his weight set to my basement to make room for a crib. At least I'll get to use the weights.
So basically I need to start all over again, with building my body back up, with exercising, and with cleaning and decluttering.

Hi Terry,
It's nice to hear from you. Congratulations on the expected grandchild.
It has not been all that long since your surgery and it is to be expected that you would need time to recover and get your energy back.
If you are at all concerned about it, you might want to talk to your dr. about where you are in terms of energy and see if what you are experiencing is within what is considered normal.
As you continue to recover, you might try doing a few babysteps and gradually do more. Just don't overdo things. Give yourself plenty of time to recover from the surgery first.
Do post and let us know how you are doing. Take care.

Hello, Terry
Having had a hysterectomy myself, there are some issues besides the hormone levels that can occur.
Have you had your thyroid checked? I had thyroid problems before my surgery, but my medication needed an adjustment after the surgery. Also, depression is a problem for some ladies.
Please have a chat with doctor.
Congratulations on the expected new addition.
