Whew, what a day.
Play day at school so made cotton candy for 186 students and a few others.
Gifts for each teacher with cards are ready, teacher appreciation gifts from the parent group are ready, volunteer appreciation gifts for two long time volunteers whose children will be moving to middle school are done. All loaded in van and ready for the morning.
I borrowed two books from the classroom for the school year and I can't find one. Has to be around here somewhere so will just keep looking. Cleaning up a few hot spots while I look!

My list for today seems to look a lot like previous days! There seem to be some things that need to be done each day with a few different ones added.
- cut grass - trim edges of grass - PUPA (baby steps) - go buy a food dish for Mack - get meds for Mack (ear mites and deworming) - puppy training times 2 (ongoing) - hopefully show my living room set to a couple who might be interested in buying it from me. They are supposed to come by this afternoon. - sewing - add a pocket to Mom's dress - other tasks?

Poor Max. Hopefully it won't bother him too much.
~~~~~~~~~~~ Got all my items off the list. Resting now. With the alarm going off last night I didn't sleep well. They couldn't find anything wrong. Gremlins, my one friend says! LOL
Dianaro: Glad you got that alarm off in time!
JDI for today was that I finished the last of the Father's Day shopping. Oh and I found my camera! DD had been using it to tape herself singing and we retraced her steps and found it. Glad to have it for end of the school year pictures today.
We will be at a baseball tournament all weekend so won't be much time spent at home. Just hope to maintain!
Jodi I loved when the boys played bb! Usually one was at one field though and the other was cross town! My DH and I split seeing each game. Congratulations to DS on the all stat game.
Too cute DD is taping herself singing. Glad you found the camera. Nice memories being made.
~~~~~~~~~~~ Found out there is going to be a rather large wedding in my area, just around the corner. Nice of the people to let us know about it, and should there be any damage to let them know. I did see some large trucks making deliveries (tables and chairs and tents I assume)Thought that was very thoughtful. Left notes by the mailbox.
Today is a crafting day, after I fix the pills for the week (Gypsy & myself), put dishes away from yesterday, and move a few things out of rooms in preparing for the rug cleaning this week.
Have a wonderful weekend all!

Working on some cards today. Also trying to put the photos from my vacation into an album. We all pooled our photos so I have quite a few to work on.
Got the luncheon dishes and serving pieces put away already.

Yesterday was a busy but productive day for me. I sold my too-large living room set! YAY! This leaves me with 3 comfy seats for my living room until I figure out exactly what I want to have for furniture in addition to what I have - 1 love seat? 1 or 2 easy chairs? Puppy training is coming along nicely. For the most part, I have 2 highly intelligent pups to work with. Naturally, there are times when their immaturity trumps intelligence! I didn't get Mack's meds yesterday so that's now on Monday's list For today - - puppy training (ongoing) - wash puppy kennel blankets - PUPA (baby steps) - sewing (Mom's dress needs a pocket) - weeding strawberries (it's muddy out there but I was able to reach from the grass) - other tasks?

Darlene: Congratulations on your furniture sale! Glad to hear the pups are doing so well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I completed some cards, crochet a hotpad/potholder, and got my vacation album done! Happy about getting that all completed. I want to work on more cards tomorrow.
Tina, Forgot to mention I hoped your headache went away. They are horrible.
~~~~~~~~ Today: I want to do more cards.
Also packing items from the screened in. Have indoor/outdoor carpeting in there I will have them do also. Want to do the spare bedroom items today too. I can put the "extra" things from the floor (quilt stand and large basket on the bed so that room will be done). The more I can get picked up in a few days will be easier. After I do all this I will relax.

In an effort to motivate myself for the next two hours I will set up some JDI's:
1. Fold laundry in dryer, load in washer flip to dryer 2. Empty dishwasher, make dinner, tidy kitchen 3. Living room floor tidied and vacuumed 4. Hang netting over DD's bed (her request, hopefully this will be an easy process)
Off to get something done. I will be honest....rainy dreary weather in June is not very motivating. You would think living in Washington I would be used to it, but I do not like it!

Vacuumed bedroom and moved a few things up top. All set for the cleaners.

I'm back after not posting for a couple days. Oh well, I guess I needed a short break!
On Sunday I didn't get to visit Mom as I had planned earlier in the day. I got there yesterday though. She's doing well. She told me that my DB and his wife were there to see her on Sunday. While it would have been nice for me to get to see them, it's much nicer for Mom to have us come see her on different days. So it all worked out for the best!
I've arranged for Mack's meds (precautionary treatments) and such to be delivered to me by way of a friend who will be making the trip for other reasons. Win-win!
For today - - make some phone calls - take puppies for a walk - individual puppy training sessions - run a few errands - get local newspaper (oh my... I had 4 weekly papers waiting for me!) - sweep floors - PUPA (baby steps) - other tasks?

I worked on crafts while the guy was cleaning the carpets. Need 6 hours to dry, and am ready for a break from crafting!

Got 3 out of 4 on my list done last night.
DD loves the net over her bed but so does the cat. He just would not leave it alone when she was trying to get to sleep. We finally managed to shoo him out of there but at 3 a.m. she woke me up as he had managed to get it off the hook in ceiling and the whole thing came down on top of her. LOL We haven't decided yet if we are going to try again.
Tonight I need to fold the load of laundry in the dryer and run one more load to include baseball uniform once DS gets home. Also need to vacuum living room, the JDI from last night I didn't finish.

Jodi: That is kind of funny about the cat liking the net over DDs bed, but poor DD! Hope you figure out a solution.
Decided with the noise of the carpeting machine (it was loud!) the shredder wasn't needed. Will do that once I get the other items back in place. Did get a few kits done yesterday with cardmaking.
Today I have windowwashers coming. The opressive heat would kill me. Just taking Gypsy outside is a chore these past couple of days! Learning how to adjust to my body.
Darlene: Glad you got away for a couple of days. It makes a big difference doesn't it? Glad you got to see mom. Did she like the dress with the pocket?
So: Routines and ETEing Put bedroom, family room, and screened in back in order Clean glass tops/knickknacks Window washers
Have a great and productive day. You all inspire me so!

Dianaro, I don't know if Mom likes her dress or not. I left it with her but we'll see if she's willing to wear it. It is more comfortable for her to wear but she won't be able to take it off by herself to get ready for bed at night. Will she opt for comfort or independence? With this particular dress she can't have both.
Yesterday didn't feel like I got much done and yet I know I did.
- make some phone calls - take puppies for a walk - individual puppy training sessions - run a few errands - get local newspaper (oh my... I had 4 weekly papers waiting for me!) - sweep floors - PUPA (baby steps)
For today - - puppy training (ongoing) with obedience class for Molly this evening - PUPA (baby steps) - make a phone call to track down stuff for Mack (apparently my friend left it at the wrong house but she described which one) - take puppies for a walk and visit the house where Mack's stuff was left (it's about a block away from me) - start writing out a list of "jobs" for when a certain carpenter is available to do some work for me (he guessed mid July) - find someone who can/will install flooring in the basement - sewing? - other tasks?

JDIs for today:
- Call the vet's clinic to schedule an appt. - DONE; waiting for the clinic to call back - Sweep/vacuum family room & rest of the house - DID all but the bedrooms - Laundry - Water the garden

Way to go everyone!
My major item for today is to get my classroom completely packed and cleaned- I am currently about 90% done or more so I am quickly getting there and given that I am leaving a week ahead of schedule (and in 4 days), I am quite pleased with where I am in terms of school. My house is a different story tho.

The windows look wonderful. Had a coupon and was able to get all the screens done for $4.00 due to a coupon I had! YEA!
Got three of the rooms put back together so far. Going to feed the grand pups and then relax.

Did everything on my list, but 2 items were only half done: - the vet's clinic didn't call me back, so I called them again, and they said they needed to check something and will call back and didn't. I will call again, tomorrow. - I vacuumed the family room (and dusted and deep cleaned a stack of drawers), and vacuumed the living room, dining room, hallway, kitchen and 1 bathroom; but didn't do the bedrooms (might still do my bedroom before going to bed). JDIs for tomorrow: - Call vet's clinic again - Grocery shop - Sweep my bathroom - DONE I went ahead and vacuumed my bedroom, DD's room, 3rd room and my bathroom. So that is all done.

Wonderful work Bless! Hopefully you can have a relaxing weekend for a change.
I am almost finished with the last two rooms put back. Did the guest room, and started in the craft room. Once the items are back in place I can go thru a few things and decide whether or not I am going to start/finish an item or not.
BTW, my windows have NEVER looked this clean!
Today: Routines and ETEing Work in craft room Class Gather up items for UFP group tomorrow Mop Tile floors
So nice to wake up and have everything neat and clean! I am loving the branches and getting the extra work done. It is getting the house looking so nice. Need to get the decks done next project sometime.

Yesterday was a productive day for me again. I LOVE days like that! - puppy training (ongoing) with obedience class for Molly this evening - PUPA (baby steps) - make a phone call to track down stuff for Mack (apparently my friend left it at the wrong house but she described which one) - take puppies for a walk and visit the house where Mack's stuff was left (it's about a block away from me) - start writing out a list of "jobs" for when a certain carpenter is available to do some work for me (he guessed mid July) - find someone who can/will install flooring in the basement - sewing
I got a bit of sewing done. My bedspread top is sewn together. Next I need to purchase and add the backing fabric. The main reason for the backing is to cover the raw edges of the seams.
Molly did super well at her obedience class. She remembered her lessons even though I had been frustrated with her during the week!
For today - - ongoing puppy training - online commitments morning and evening - go see my doctor (annual check up time) - PUPA (baby steps) - cut lawn - other tasks?

Frugal, Pe Its are hard to loose They love us regardless.....
Ann How are you doing? Hoping it is less work for you, and you can take care of yourself for a change.
Got lots done before I left for class and the class was FUN! Home and rested (more like collapsed on the sofa, after all the activity) and picked up the foil under the family room furniture. Just have to mop the tile floors, and relax this evening. Will pick up some donuts for treats tomorrow.

You ladies are doing great with getting stuff done. It's surprising how much we can accomplish with a plan and sticking to it.
My day was productive yesterday - - ongoing puppy training - online commitments morning and evening - go see my doctor (annual check up time) - PUPA (baby steps) - cut lawn (nearly done) I seem to have added "get a sunburn" to my list. How long will it take before I remember to use sunscreen????
For today - - go to medical lab for routine annual tests - treat myself to Tim Hortons coffee and breakfast - pick up some DVDs that I'm purchasing - ongoing puppy training - finish cutting and trimming lawn (Note to self: use sunscreen!) - weeding in garden if it's dry enough - get mail - grocery shopping? - meet with a friend (I hope) - other tasks?

Tina: Have a safe journey home.
I did part of my list from yesterday: picked up the cat's medications and gave him the pills; stripped DD's beds (2 twin beds, one of which tucks under the other, but was pulled out because 2 friends slept over, this week) and washed all her sheets and quilts (2 loads) and remade the beds; and prepared dinner. I didn't grocery shop or go through the bag of papers.
JDIs for today:
- Take DD to gymnastics - DONE - Work on office documents - DONE - Take DD to campus - DONE - Grocery shop (ethnic store) - DONE - Take DD shopping for clothes - DONE - Go through 1 bag of old papers - Laundry (my bedding) - DOING - Replace vertical blind slats & wash them - DONE

o well, plans go astray!
The landscaper here to clean up some items, and I was stuck upstairs in case they needed me. Don't need to run up stairs often. LOL
Anyhow I decided to work/finish up some cards I had started and forgotten and completed a crochet project instead. Decided to also do my weekly laundry, so time wasn't wasted!

Diana, you made good use of your time, I'd say. I ran errands with DD and came home and took a 2-hr nap! I was tired! Now, I'm doing laundry, and I also replaced some vertical blind slats that broke off and washed the blinds, too.

Have church today, and think I will craft and enjoy a day off. Next week is another busy one being in and out a lot!

I've had a busy and productive weekend. I never made or posted a JDI list but that was OK. On Saturday I went furniture shopping and came home with a small dresser (needs TLC), an all wood letter organizer unit and a nice comfy wing chair for my living room. The best part is that I spent a total $80 on all of that. It's all new-to-me stuff. Now I have a small oak desk that will be looking for a new home. I'm hoping someone in the family wants it because DH put a lot of work into fixing and refinishing it. If not, I'll be certain to take a picture of the desk and then sell it to whoever wants to own it. I don't have room to keep it here. My JDIs for today - - purchase new dog collars (Ms Molly broke her's last night!) - walk the dogs (2 miles later and they're both sleeping) - booked Mack for grooming (mid July because the groomer will be on holidays) - bathe the dogs (their white hair is no longer white) - go check on a couple of tank tops that are available via the online garage sale site - hoe/pull weeds in the garden (it's finally dry enough) Note to self: sunscreen and mosquito repellant would be good ideas! - PUPA and reorganizing with the new-to-me furniture (baby steps) - other tasks?

Hi all!
I've been working off of a weekly JDI list...
Last week: *renew Driver's Lic DONE *play date at pioneer village DONE *scrapbook page for Df's wedding PROGRESS *thank you cards *finish distributing photo books *purchase swimsuit for DD DONE *bday gifts PROGRESS *copy choc sauce recipe *make something with rhubarb *figure out medical bill *xstitch *return books to library *parade DONE *upload photos (DONE to comp ~ need to upload to online) *defrost freezer DONE
So this week is a carryover from what didn't get done last week. plus: *4H achievement days ~ ready exhibits *DD has 2 ball games (1 DONE) *find homes for boxes of books I brought in from storage PROGRESS *paperwork PROGRESS *newspaper photos DONE *pack for possible trip (waiting for passports) *water flowers/plants at assisted living center (1/2 days done) *visit twins *clean house *repot plants
I have mixed feelings about the trip ~ I really wanted to go to our church retreat this weekend but it will be nice to have a bit of breathing room (not have to drive all day and get more things done at home) ~ there is one we can go to, 2 wks later... So, it all depends on when the passports come...

Yesterday was a good day for me. I felt like I got a lot done even with my change of plans. My lady friend phoned and asked me to go for coffee with her in the afternoon so I did. Report from yesterday - bathe the dogs (their white hair is no longer white) - go check on a couple of tank tops that are available via the online garage sale site - hoe/pull weeds in the garden (baby steps) - PUPA and reorganizing with the new-to-me furniture (baby steps) For today - - hoeing in the garden (baby steps) - PUPA and reorganizing with the new-to-me furniture (baby steps) - take recycling to the bins (no curb pick-up here ) - walk dogs - puppy training (ongoing) - other tasks?

Thanks Diana! My new hammock swing came today, so maybe I'll get some swing time with a good book ~ trouble is my monkeys usually come to perch on my shoulders :P My trip is just up to my Mom and Dad's. Just the timing of it that I have mixed feelings about ~ passports haven't come so its a mute point ~ just have to work towards being ready when they do come as I don't have all summer... Today was an exceptionally busy day... The girls had 4H achievement days and did very well ~ all blue ribbons for what they exhibited. They went on to do the Consumer Choice Contest. DD1 ended up taking 3rd place on that ~ but accidentally was given the 1st place prize which was a bummer when they came and took it back :P While they were doing that I got Df's gift cert and took that and her other gift that I inadvertently came home with at our joint party and got a short but sweet visit with the twins. We had a 3/4 of an hour or so, so we went and watered the flowers at the assisted living home. We're hot and dry... Came back for the awards and then they were given pictures to make a scrapbook page. I was asked to help out with the pages since the ones in charge weren't scrappers (but had good scrapbook tools!) Then, DD had her ball game ~ which she did very well at ~ definitely not the star of the team, but some good solid confidence building plays tonight they finished off their season with pizza and rootbeer floats. Then we hit the pool for the evening swim session. And when we came home I watered out flowers and repotted the plant I was given during the parade. so this is why I've had mixed feelings about the trip ~ I would really like to be at my parents' tomorrow evening, but I really don't want to be up half the night cleaning/packing and then get up early and drive 15 hrs straight to get there tomorrow :P Since we're not leaving tomorrow, we will be doing reading count quizes at the library and picking up our exhibits from the hall. My kids need down time ~ so they will set the pace...

I think some down time is good for everyone Maureen, you included. Sounded like an over the top busy day, Congratulations to the DDs on their ribbons. That is impressive. Sorry about the mistake. Did she handle it ok? I feel sorry for her disappointment.
Been picking up papers for my next scrapbook. DGs is graduating HS next year, so want to start gathering items. He is an athlete so I found some NEAT paper I can use on a couple of pages! Slowly gathering up items. Keep putting off the photos, have to dig in and get them assembled. So much easier making cards!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Today: Routines and ETEing Desk day Trash gathering Luncheon Babysteps in Pantry and basement Embroidery
Maureen, you've been busy busy busy! It's probably just as well if you wait a bit before visiting your parents - we've been getting violent thunderstorms the last couple days. Other areas around me have had tornados that luckily did not result in damage. All I got was a thunderstorm that knocked out the power for a couple hours last night.
Update from yesterday - hoeing in the garden (baby steps) - PUPA and reorganizing with the new-to-me furniture (baby steps) - take recycling to the bins (no curb pick-up here ) - walk dogs - puppy training (ongoing)
The dogs do a lot of wrestling style play but they are gentle with each other. They have had a couple of naps sharing the same dog bed. So I think it would be safe to say they get along! Mack is close to full-grown and Molly is still growing. They were almost identical weights when I got Mack and now Molly is about a pound heavier.
For today - - go check out a second dog bed (available through the local online garage sale) - puppy training (ongoing) - walk dogs (at least a mile, preferably a couple miles) - PUPA (baby steps) - hoeing weeds (baby steps) - laundry - other tasks
DS is on his way home today - he got laid off from his job. We knew it was temporary when he started. I'm looking forward to him being here but I also know he needs to find a new job. Selfishly I'm hoping he can find something close to my home!
Maureen, I'm sorry that the visit to your parents has to be delayed, but, perhaps, reading all what you had to do earlier that day, the delay was not such a bad thing, after all. Driving for 15 hrs. would have been tiring enough, even if you had rested up the day before the drive, but doing it after a busy day and little sleep would have been too much. Darlene: Hope your son finds something closer to you. Glad to hear that Mack and Molly are getting along.  ************ I didn't quite finish my list, yesterday, so, I'll add them to my list for today! JDIs for today: - Post Office to mail bill payment- Pick up check- Bank - Paperwork/filing - Clean bathrooms - Water the garden, front and back
Ladies, You all do so much each day. I know myself there are little things I do that I don't post! We do great!
The weather reports are saying 100 today, and I called my friend from crocheting that I was going to drive home after (her DS will take her there) and she was going to call me about not going today either.....great minds. So I can finish up the pantry, maybe do another babystep in the basement, and read and embroider and stay INSIDE!
Diana: Good idea to stay indoors when it is so hot outside.  Do you have a/c? If so, it'll be easier to keep cool. If not, keep the drapes drawn/shades down, turn on any fans you might have, drink plenty of fluids, and take it easy. Received a phone call, yesterday, giving me the news that an aunt had passed away. She was 91, so, it wasn't unexpected, but still, a little sad at the same time. Spent some time on the phone, afterwards, trying to call various family members to condole/pass on the news. JDIs for today: - Leave note for gardener - DONE - Give DD and friend a ride downtown - DONE - Finish up yesterday's list (Bank, etc.)
Bless, my condolences. Even "expected deaths" force us to grieve and to make adjustments. Update from yesterday - - go check out a second dog bed bought it; Molly uses it occasionally - puppy training (ongoing) - walk dogs (at least a mile, preferably a couple miles) - PUPA ( baby steps) - hoeing weeds ( baby steps) - laundry ( in process) Yesterday the guy from the carpet store came by to figure out the floor covering needs for finishing off my basement family room. I'd asked for this to be done a couple months ago! It's going to cost a bit to put flooring down but I have to do it if I want to get this place finished. For today - - pay bills online - pay bills that need mailing/delivering (local) - go carpet shopping I found the color and design I want but the roll they have in stock is about 2 feet too short  As of now I have not made a final decision re: carpeting. The people that lay carpets will be busy for at least 2 or 3 weeks so I have time. Plus, my basement does not have to be their next job. - puppy training (ongoing) - take dogs for a lengthy walk - PUPA (baby steps) - hoeing and/or pulling and/or digging weeds (baby steps) - remake bed with summer sheets - wash, dry and fold winter sheets - fold and put away some clean clothes - make myself a rhubarb crisp dessert - pick ripe strawberries from patch - wash and freeze berries - other tasks? Wow! That looks like a long list!
((HUGS)) Bless. You had an uncle pass away earlier this year ~ there's a certain sorrow when that whole older generation passes on.... thank you for the birthday wishes  We did take it easy more or less yesterday. Went to the library DD2 has passed enough quizes to earn herself a $5 gift cert to use at the book fair in the fall. DD1 needs to pass one more quiz. I'm hoping they will pass enough to earn the 2nd $5 cert... Used their participation cpns for icecream and DD's 3rd place win was for a personal size pizza at the same place so that was lunch. We hung out the rest of the day and then went to bible study in the evening. The girls are at the pool now, and I'm resting, planning on getting to the scrapbook page and to my thankyou cards.
Diana: DD just growled "I know" at me when I was trying to be excited about her 3rd place prize (pizza and pop) but then she was fine. 1st place was a camping chair  Darlene: Yes, my parents were without power all day/night Tues ~ not sure when it went out ~ Mon night? but had it restored Wed morning.
