When was the last time you deleted a bunch of your email? I spent some time last weekend and deleted about 5k from a combo of my work and personal email accounts. In today's email world, where it's so easy to search for stuff, it's tempting to just let them sit there. Unfortunately, email is like any other clutter and can weigh you down mentally.

While you're at it, unsubscribe from any mailing lists you no longer need. Do you cringe or sigh when emails come through from certain lists? If so, get rid of them. No need to have that negativity in your life.

I also went through my twitter feed and unfollowed many people who weren't adding anything to my life that I needed to. See on a regular basis.

What a timely and great idea Kimberly.

I have started been sorting through my emails (I deleted my trash bin yesterday in my main email address and it boggled my mind).

I still need to go through mailing lists and continue unsubscribing to no longer needed/wanted/read lists.

I'm pretty lean on the mailing lists, and I have one email account I use specifically for such lists as well as when you have to give an email on a website. That account is purged daily.

I went through my personal email that had been saved on an old computer a few weeks ago, saved a few things, and deleted most of what was there. My other personal accounts are up-to-date.

My work account is another story. Things are well-organized in folders chronologically, but I need to go through the folders and delete old stuff that is no longer needed. It has been probably three years since I did a major purge on that account.

Still working on clearing out my inboxes as well. I make sure they are cleared out on the weekend (I try to go through them daily tho).

Congratulations Mary!

I deleted about 95% of those that came in this week while I was away. I just have a few newsletters to read and then I will be done too smile
