Cindy, glad you had a good time....and btw, what's wrong with being home by 10?? smile Keep up the good work on the house, the productivity definitely motivates you to do more as you see the progress you make.

Dianaro, amazing that the lack of clutter can have that effect on the air filter,.....very cool. Also, good work on the two tables.

Jo, think of each area as its own separate space. What area needs the least amount of work? Start with that as you will see progress quickly and then go to the next smallest one, and so on.

Could you take a box of supplies upstairs one at a time to sort while watching tv, transferring to keep/trash/donate bins set up around you. Personally those would be the last items I would tackle.

As for me, no offer written. Did not show the house as the husband got called out of town on business, but the wife confided to me that this is her DREAM home and she really wants him to commit to it, just that he's not the type to be pushed, and since theyve been together almost 25 yrs, I will sit back patiently.

So even though no property showings on Friday, a decision was made to change to a new company, so I spent most of the day with my friend at the new place getting office space and computer stuff set up....very productive.

Did not work on hardly anything as I have kids this weekend, worked Saturday and have to go to a work meeting tonight from 7 to 9....aaarrgghh.

What I did manage to do is a thorough sweep down of the entire main floor, dusting in the master and guest bedroom including ceiling fans, 4 loads of laundry, cleaned whole kitchen and mopped the floor in kitchen and dining room, top to bottom cleaning of bathroom including laundering of rugs, and cleaned off any excess papers in the main living areas and moved them to the office. Dining room table has been cleaned off and wiped down, the perpetual dumping zone for us. Woke up at 3am Friday(without the alarm and got all this done by 10am) Other than real estate, haven't done anymore this weekend.

Have not gone near the office but will be spending the next couple hours in here today. Today, up at 530. Did a bit of weed pulling and lots of spraying, and have been moving the sprinkler around various areas of the house for 1.5hrs at a time all day to stop the grass from dying. Temps have been in the high 80's and no chance of rain in the next 2 weeks.

Plan on doing some babysteps downstairs today. Haven't been home long enough for a couple of days, and when I returned home I wasn't in the mood, too tired from partying! LOL

Way tooo many things going on....late nite meeting for day job on Sunday at 7pm(my normal bedtime), Mon nite was a late nite real estate class (til 930...home at 1015) and work the past 2 mornings can we say ....burning the candle at both ends!

But I did get notice from one of my buyers and he is ready to write an offer on one of the houses I showed him...and it will happen by the end of the week.

So during the day tomorrow is office time...hating the little piles of things everywhere and need to make some dents for my sanity. Did toss 4 more briefcases that will not hold my 17.3 inch "senior aka bifocal eyes" laptop.Looking at it as that many more things out of my life.

Hoping to really make some progress tomorrow....have to show houses tomorrow nite.

Thanks, Beaglelady. I think I'll do that! I'll clean off the counter in the basement that holds all of the album stuff that need sorting, take it all upstairs, and watch tv or something while I do it. I don't know why I just don't want to be down there. It's pleasant, but not as light, perhaps.

Personally Jo, I think it has a lot to do with the clutter down there as well. The areas of my house that have taken the longest to clear were also the most congested, and I found that I would spend the least amount of time there as it was not a pleasant place to be. My office is still a mess, but as my life evolves into yet the next reincarnation, I am making changes and am seeing progress.

The outdoor areas are looking ok. I swept the screened porch last nite while having a glass of wine and watering part of the yard, so triple productivity, ....yard, porch and a more relaxed me!

Today is office and laundry day. Already put the guest room bed back together after washing everything, comforters, pillows and bedding. The donation piles have been itemized and are in boxes in the corner. Need to get downstairs with SO to do the same with his. Once that is done, I will load up the car and get rid of it all.....thinking it will be about 10 boxes of stuff as I already have 3 in the house and another 2 or 3 in the garage. Spoke to SO's sis last nite and her fiance is losing weight and I still have some of ex's stuff in the donation box in garage so will be taking that box over to them too.

Another new buyer to deal with tonite, showing homes at 5 so the rest of my day is office time!

Also have to clear my old laptop and just restore it to factory settings as SO's mom is buying it......she just wants it to play games on so she's thrilled....and i am too, just to get it out of here....and I am throwing in one of those briefcases too!

I agree with BL. Bring paperwork upstairs to sort thru. I don't like being in the basement too much either, which is probably why it is taken me so long to finish up this ROTM (Years really).

Good going on the scrapbook.

BL:
You are burning the candle at both ends. You need to get your rest,and am crossing my fingers your sale goes thru. Of course you have the usual, counter offers, etc., so it can take time, I know. Regardless, rest every time you can. That was impressive abou the yard, porch and yourself. LOL

Hopefully SOs loading up the boxes for you, or even taking them in would lessen your load, have you considered that? You are doing a great job of tossing.

Hmmmmm do the guests help you with stripping the beds, etc?
I know I am a nosey GONer mom. I just feel so overwhelmed for you and all you are trying to do. I don't want you to become ill with all you have on your plate!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Will try and get downstairs today sometime and do more babysteps, at least one.
Dianaro, you are an absolute doll!! I told them that when they come over, if they want clean clothing and bedding, it needs to be in the hamper I provided for them and the hamper needs to be put in the laundry room. When its done, I fold it and leave it on the pool table down there.
More pressing issues as I have found out that son and/or visitors are not respecting my stuff and have damaged furniture and other items downstairs. I am not happy....SO and I have had several conversations about it this week and he called his son today and said he and son and sons friends will have a "come to Jesus" meeting as I like to call it. I know that when its all over, they will be seeing the light! .....if you know what I mean. SO has said he will make good on the damaged items.....when he spoke to son today at his ex's home, ex was overly quiet. SO thinks she is encouraging bad behavior. I don't know and don't want to know. I hope she's not that vengeful, but at this point, she has not shown herself any other way.....
Yes I am trying to get rest. Lost a buyer today due to bad credit but picked up a new one and also submitted that offer. Off on Sunday right now so will spend a couple hours in the office and then get lots of rest! I will not let myself get sick. thanks so much for your concern.
Not a good thing when your things are not respected! Definitely needs to be taken care of. Maybe no friends over when DS visits his dad! If ex is encouraging misbehavior, that is sad.
Good for you in the bedding department! You are working so hard they need to pitch in and help!
Sorry about the buyer with bad credit, but now that seems to be pretty common. Hopefully you will succeed with the new one.
Well, when I walk downstairs lately there is a HUGE improvement in how it looks. Just a few more days down there and I can honestly say I think it will be done! TYG! Will be happy dancing all over the place when that happens!
Thanks everyone for the encouragement on getting the painting done. I got one post done but ran out of paint and then it rained. Which I'm not complaining about.
This coming week I'm escaping to Eurkea Springs for four days!!!! I have mixed feelings over going and leaving DD and parents but all but DM said to go. DM has tried to do a guilt trip and it's not working. They traveled lots in their younger days.
So today is going to be spent cleaning the house, car, and packing. I've made a list. I know I can get it done becuase I want to get going tomorrow. Oh I'm so excited!!! I need this for my sanity.
Oh... The last couple of days with a day off inbetween I've been helping DD with the kids and hubby while she worked. OMG!!! I'm so tired. I've also made supper both night. Bless her heart I would be going insane. I guess that's why you have kids when you are young. Also 13 hour days are more than this old lady can take.
Ok Noq to get going....
Cindy
I think I have almost everything ready for me to leave. I do wish the guuy taking care of Sooner would call me to finalize the plans. Also need to order some meds but I can get them in the morning on the way out.
I think I've also found my DGS's birthday present. Waiting on DD's ok. It's a big metal trash truck. Yes the kid loves the trash men!! Sure hope he doesn't want to do that as a living. Nothing wrong with that but I do hope he wants more.
Ok now I think I will just realx and maybe clean up.
Cindy
