Had a wonderful day yesterday, the weather was so nice in NY and I had some appointments scattered over town. Everything is in full bloom and driving in the countryside roads was a pleasure.

I stopped and bought some herbs and got them planted in the window boxes on the deck. I also got the deck half-washed. The darn black walnut tree started dropping "stuff" and "bled" onto the newly stained deck! It looked awful but washed up nicely.

Had a ton of phone calls when I got in, I didn't have time to return all of them. Some were work, so they got taken care of first. I worked out a nice deal with my new plumber, also.

Made a tuna macaroni salad and called it dinner. Walked the "show" dog route and my new neighbor tagged along. I'm getting to like her more and more. She is alone a lot (except for her 3 year old), her husband works a weird shift.

Have some work today early and hope to get outside work done when I get back before the forecasted rain comes in.

Sorry to be quiet, DD is not well and was sent home from school yesterday. I'd sent her in because I knew a speech therapist was coming in to observe her in school, her teacher rang me when the assessment had finished! I spoke to the therapist today and she said she didn't seem well, I was feeling the mummy guilt yesterday!

I've not been too great either this week. we seem to be passing cold viruses back and forth at the moment! Hoping that the next week off school (half-term) will help to break the cycle.

Looking forward to the Queen's Jubilee over the weekend, went to a picnic in the school on Wednesday lunchtime. DD has missed out on a few things today, but she's just not up to it.

Have a great weekend, everyone! We have some days out planned for next week but I should be on at some time. I need to get back into gear after a poor week!

Diana, isn't normal a town in Illinois? wink

Falling down on the job today...no dailies done yet. DH slept in a bit so that changes what I can do in the mornings. I did get a load of sheets into the washer and got a lunch made for dh. Still need to make my bed and wipe down the sink & counter in the bathroom. Will have dgd run the cordless sweeper on the carpets and hard floors unless she goes to small group with us this afternoon.

The only reason she'd go is to go to the Relay For Life event after small group. I'm walking the survivors' lap and they are having a dinner after for survivors and guests. Don't know if she and dh will be able to walk the lap with me but you never know. If not, they can cheer me on so to speak!

Hello lovely ladies! Yes a new month is upon us, always amazes me how fast time flies. Makes me want to stop and smell the proverbial roses more often.

Way to go Bonnie! I'll be cheering you on! Use to have a team and march all night at the local relay for life, did it 4 years in a row. Now with crazy hours at work and life changes I try to go every year and walk at least a few hours.

Yesterday evening I worked in spurts of 2hours and 30minutes breaks until past midnight. This morning even though I had said I did not want to work today they called just to be sure, at 6:45. Could not go to sleep, kept running over what I had written in my head, so I got up. Went to the computer to add a few lines then had breakfast and coffee on the back patio while I read some more. Came in an hour later, picked up around the kitchen and sent a text message to a friend and co-worker asking for help.

Didn't know if she was working or not and was feeling nervous so decided to deflect this energy towards cleaning chores. I dusted all the furniture in the living room. The sliding door is open as well as window in the living room(opposite), it's hot but windy and some fur balls were traveling south... wasn't happy with the job I did yesterday so swept all over again before moping the floors. Lucky I did this I found my roll of stamps under my cedar chest in my room! Also uncovered 2 cardboard inside paper toilet rolls, one under my dresser and the other underneath the book case in the living room. So much for kitty toys...

I took the living room area rug out for a beating and now it's in the wash, will store it until fall. That’s one more task crossed off my post-its! Friend called back and we spoke on the phone for half an hour, I finished putting back the stuff I had moved, chairs and tables and I was back at the computer. Next break was for an early lunch and a chat with a friend on facebook. I need to finish the written part around supper time, I need to gas up the car and go to the bank. I wish to spend the evening reviewing the other assignment I'm to present tomorrow morning. So looking forward to having the rest of the weekend offffff!

Well, happy to report I did the filing and then some. Didn't realize I hadn't switched out the bank statements in the beginning of the year, so did that.

Went downstairs and did 20 minutes separating gifts "alike" and have much more to do, but I might even be able to get my Christmas done in JULY! I can package, and tag!

Also found some items to sell in Aug., for the craft store garage sale. Gets easier after making money! LOL

Had a great few days off and hanging out with SIL. Il's and nephew coming back in a few days from oot trip. This am, we packed up the truck and went on a nice bike ride, out to lunch with more family, went thrift store shopping and picked up a bunch of clothes for cheap, two trips to the grocery store. DH picked up the grill that was gifted to us and cleaned it up yesterday...made steaks and zucchini tonight.

Going to try to tackle some paperwork for 30 min. before hitting the sack. Have to work the next 4 days.

I got home just in time for the rain, so my yard plans got cancelled.

I got the kitchen straightened up and cleaned out the refrigerator. Had lots of leftovers, some got tossed and some Finn got with dinner. The refrigerator needs a deep clean, it's very cool this morning, it would be a good time to JDI.

Laura brought over dinner and we hung out a while, went to bed early and slept through the whole night.

Hope all you GON'ers in the UK are enjoying the weekend festivities, I can't wait to see it on TV here.
