I made some progress on my ROTM project - the MBR. The bedspread top is sewn. Next step is to purchase inexpensive fabric (most likely broadcloth) to put on the back of it. I'm not putting a batting in it; I want to use it as a lightwieght bedspread.

Ok I had planned to recycle a boom box and a TV but can't find the tv. I hope I already did it. I checked the attic twice. However while I was in the attic I noticed it needs help big time but first I do need to finish the painting.

I have a two errands I need to do today and then I can start painging again but I can't seem to get going. I got these labels from MS at Staples that are little blackboards and I love them for my glass containers. This week there is a coupon but good only for one so I'm going again today for the smaller size.

Also I need to get my checkbook in order and pay bills. I think I had wanted to do this yesterday but didn't get to it. Plus start on branch for the week. Ok now I just need to get going.

Darlene, I've never sewn a bedspread but make duvet covers which may be somewhat similar. I've found it cost efficient to use a flat sheet for backing. Recently I used a King sz. flat sheet for a Queen sized cover although I had to re-size it because it was the better buy for to color and cost. I made use of the extra fabric as a trim strip on regular pillow cases and a simple bolster roll. Liquidators & Discount stores often promote these as loss leaders.

Well I went and did my errands before I painted which was a huge mistake. I was only able to get one side of the decorate iron support before the heat was more than I could take. I have a diffferent plan for next week.

I was able to get green beans, peppers, and orka. He was out of corn that freezes on the cobbs well. What he had he said didn't but I know another place to try Tuesday. Anyway I'm defrosting ham to usse in the green beans and then I'll freeze to have through the winter. Orka, of course, will befried and all eaten. I'll get more later to freeze to use in soups.

Ok to get busy doing inside stuff.

Believe it or not, I got downstairs, and put some of my beading items away. Also added a few items to my pile of selling items from the craft store yard sale in Aug/Sept. Love having that money to spend and not worry about it!

Still more to do, but nothing like when I started. Hoping to get down there each day....sometimes it works out that way.

Yesterday after church I walked three laps and came home and got busy. I cut out the four pillows for the deck and stuff three of them. I need more stuffing for the fourth. Then I snapped the green beans and cooked them. They are ready for the freezer when I get containers. I cooked one of the corn. Wasn't as sweet as I like but good. Need to decide what I'm going to do with the green peppers.

Today I got up early and finished the one pole and did another plus the trim on one side. We are under a heat alert so I plan on being careful.

Now I'm cooling off for a little bite. Then I'll get going. Oh I also have got my poster all ready to frame except plexi glass. I'm getting a cutter Wednesday.

Today things to do are:
fix night gown strap
pick up things for tonorrow's watch party
put orka
see if I can get morw corn
straighten up den
water out door plants
do some internet checking on some things.

Well I've gotten a lot done today. I painted this morning and then meet a friend for lunch. It wasn't planned but she's really missing her husband that died Mother's Day. I can totally understand.

While I was out I picked up two really nice night gowns. I really need some and since I am having eye surgey July 2. It's out patient but I have been known to stay a week. I would hate DD to have to go shopping for me.

Then I came home and baked chocolate chip cookies and froze the green beans I had cooked. I hadn't been able to get any corn and I didn't do the orka yet. I need to check with a friend about it. I also got the kitchen table cleaned up.

I had to mop the kitchen floor since I dropped a bag of the beans and the juice went everywhere. That hadn't been in plans. I laid the stuff out for the dip I am making tomorrow. I'll get the cream cheese out tomorrow beforre I go paint and then should be able to make it.

I was slow getting started this morning and wasn't able to get as much painted as I would have liked. But I guess every little bite is something. The heat is really bad this week.

Now I need to get busy doing the other things I want done.
