Diana, thanks. smile I had been averaging less than 4 hrs. sleep a night these past few nights, and I guess it all caught up with me.

I plan to work on some of my goals, this weekend, while DD studies for her finals.

Absolutely AWESOME thrift store shopping today. It was 1/2 off clothing day so I really made out good. I got 4 pair of PJ pants and a nightgown (all new), 7 shirts, a pair of shorts (brand new - and long enough to cover my ugly knees), two large pieces of fabric to make skirts, and then 3 skirts that are already made. And, all for under $40. grin Does my Creative Summer Financing good!

And, why do I put this in the Goals thread? Because the fabric pieces are to make the two skirts that I have listed on my Summer goals list...teeheehee

Two of the ready-made skirts I bought today are HUGE! I am going to be taking those in a LOT. One will be for me and the other for DD. And, then another of the skirts fits me perfectly.

Two of the shirts I bought are plain white and will be used in some crafty way. I have several projects that I've been wanting to try out that I needed plain white shirts for, but I didn't want to pay full price. When I saw them while out thrifting, I knew they were meant to be mine.

The yard sale today went better than expected- I probably sold 95% of the stuff I took outside and made some much appreciated cash. I need to check out my to-do list to see what else I need to do this week. I still need to finish sorting through my clothes.

That was some thrift shopping! Wow, wonderful buys Carol!

Tinytina:
Great tossing all that and getting money in return!

Working on the environment, friends, and leisure goals, this weekend.

For environment, cleaned part of the house and did a lot of laundry, yesterday.

For friends, there's a chili cookoff/potluck lunch at a friend's house, this afternoon.

For leisure, I cut out more patches for my patchwork quilt.

Got everything that was passed into me marked.

The yard sale helped with decluttering the house. Took 1 small box to the garbage today.

Got a couple cards ready for the mail.

I got the mail system set-up to forward my mail for the next 6 months.

Had a surprise party today (a joint wedding shower for me and a baby shower for one of my friends). I was totally shocked.

That was great Tina that you had a surprise bridal shower, what wonderful friends. They will miss you, I am sure. Glad you were surprised, that is the best.

Great going on the tossing both at the yard sale and the leftovers! WHOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO Happy dancing with you.

Tina...That is so neat that your friends had a surprise shower for you! :):):)

Official Day 1 of my Summer break. It's Kitchen Day for me! I've got potatoes in the crockpot. Dishwasher a washin'. Now I'm going to do some cookin' (make baking mix, cookie mix, another batch of blondies for the freezer, brown ground beef for the freezer). Then, I'm going to start painting shelves for my office. (It's attached to the kitchen so still qualifies as part of my "kitchen day"...lol)
