Today I've been catching up with the housework I never got done in the last two Bank Holidays.

I cleaned the bathroom, then the sitting room and lastly got the floors vacuumed.

I've still got a mountain of ironing to get done but that will just have to wait until later.

Karen, I also watched as much as I could of the Jubilee. She is such a remarkable woman! What a celebration!!

I had one small delivery in the morning, then stopped at the grocery store for a few things. Stopped and got some more plants. Picked up the salt for the afternoon delivery, but the kid couldn't get off the bus without a note, so we rescheduled for today. That means I can't really go anywhere till he gets here, my truck is so heavily loaded.

Took Finn in the trail and were greeted by a few deer, he never saw them, his nose was to the ground the whole walk, LOL. I needed the walk too, it does de-stress me.

So far this morning I got the dishes all done and prepping dinner for later, hope it doesn't rain, it's a new bbq recipe.

Had a fairly productive morning. Got the dailies done and even managed time to get another quilt block cut out. I'm cutting out blocks for a quilt that has a total of 111 blocks that are each 6" square. I've completed about 14 of the blocks (sewn together) and am cutting out a bunch of the rest to work on during our travels in July. Even if we don't get the ok to travel, I'll still work on them during July.

Yesterday after work I finished up laundry and also got all of the dusting done. Tonite is dgd's 8th Grade Celebration (instead of a graduation they are doing a celebration) at 6. I think I will encourage a snack before then a late supper. Might put chili or stew into the crock pot at lunch and then it will be ready whenever we want to eat. Might even do a chicken soup of some kind as in thinking about it, I think I've used up all of my ground beef. Better put that on my Costco list!

I also got a binding sewn to a customer quilt...now I just need to tack it all down on the back-side. That I'd like to finish to be able to give it to my customer on Friday. It's a graduation gift for her grandson so I'd like to get it to her quickly.

bonnie, how long does it take you to complete a quilt from start to finish?

i like knitting and needlepoint so much better than seing on the machine or mending buttons and hems.

itonly took 40 min on aol last night and 40 on the forum and that includes posting time for both. after i finished up, i read 20 or so more email on juno, then listened to a show on here. i finished decluttering the gbr and couldn't sleep.

around 6 am, i washed the sheets, pillow cases, pillow covers and mattress cover i the gbr, then i dusted the k. i took a bath as soon as the sheets were in the dryer, then ate some cereal and started cooking. i spent 40 min chopping things. i made a salad and decided to chop all the brocolli i bought tue. the stems i cut real small for use in a casserole. i also chopped a kielbasa and an onion for something i threw tog in the cp. i made flavored rice too. i thought i had pulled out a pack of noodles and didn't realize it was rice till after i ripped the top off. i added the rice to my pork chops and sauer kraut hm tv dinner. i had about 2 extra servings that i froze in a 1 pint container too.

the cp is still simmering. i ran and emptied the dw before dool, got the bed remade and did the dailies including cleaning my earrings and picking out 5 days worth of outfits. when dool ended, i listened to a webinar, then spent an hr on juno.

i ate the last of the egg salad at 1245pm today. i'm kind of glad. i used to dread eating the last serving of something hm b/c by then i wouldn't want to have to cook again. now that i've got the hm tv dinner trays, i hate when my freezer starts getting full b/c that means i don't GET to cook. i'm going to make a double batch of 'mary's potaoes' on fri or sat, but then i won't cook again except for sandwiches and salads til i make a dent in the freezer. gonna eat my salad now

Diana and Waterlady it was fantastic to watch wasn't it?

Tina - My goodness lucky you I find British history fascinating too. In fact I love studying history full stop. It has so much to teach us.

Well today I have cleaned the ground floor vacuuming and mopping everywhere. My dad and aunt have been to visit and I have spoken to my granddad. We also went to the in-laws for dinner.

I have a chiropractors appointment in the morning and a dental appointment in the afternoon tomorrow, so I will get some small jobs done in the house in between night all!

Very lazy day...our plans to the animal ranch were cancelled bc of the rain. Hung out at the house a few hrs, went out to meet the rest of the family at mexican rest, came back and DS and both napped. Got a load of laundry washed/dried. Swept some of the hardwood floors of dog fur. Will wake up DS in a min. and go take a walk.

Just watched a little of the celebrations on the news. Amazing all the people attending!

Fleur:
YOU need a lazy day every so often. You are always on the GO!

Bonnie:
You have been busy! Please take care and rest when you need it.

Waterlady:
That is so cool that you saw deer! The ones around here haven't been around for quite some time. I do hear a rooster crow now and again, a neighbor down the road is selling eggs. Miss the cows that use to be down the road. So Finn was okay with them?
Of course size wise they are so much bigger. Don't you wish you could read our pet's minds? LOL

Mary:
I don't have your patience with knitting and needlepoint....that is wonderful that you enjoy both. I am too scattered for needlepoint,and yet enjoy cross stitch ! Makes life interesting in each of us being different, don't you think?

~~~~~~~~
Have UFP group tomorrow,and need a little spiffying done here today. House is in fairly good shape since I have been pretty faithful in doing my PUPAing and ETEing before bed.
Diana, the other day the deer came right up to my fence, Finn spotted it first and went nuts. He kept looking at me like, "what's that?" ROFL! It's unusual they come up the road this far, but the trail is about 500 feet from here and backs up the the mountain. The Appalachian Trail is very near.
My kid had a Dr's appointment yesterday so our delivery is re-scheduled until today.
Had a nice chat with my new neighbor and made a deal-her hubby can borrow my mower this weekend, and get it started too! YAY! Also he can fix the oil leak as he is a great mechanic. I think it just needs a gasket.
Cleaned out my truck cab also but didn't get to vacuum it. Gathered some items that I have to return from last week's job.
Made the new chicken bbq recipe and grilled some fruit for dessert for Laura and I.
Had a great night's sleep again. The release/relief of selling Mom's house is settling in. I feel a calmness I haven't felt in a long time.
Took the car in to have new brakes put in, yesterday.
Not much else is getting done, except the usual routines.
