Now that I have managed to partially clear the kitchen counters, it's time to move on to the kitchen drawers!
I have a total of 5 drawers in my kitchen, although one of them is actually a wide, double drawer.
Two are deep drawers, next to the stove, where I store my containers of dried legumes and lentils, bulk bought spices, curry powder, etc. Each drawer is approx. 15 inches wide.
Two are shallow drawers, each approx. 15 in. wide, one on each side of the stove, where I keep cooking utensils - knives, vegetable peeler, tongs, strainer, etc. are in one drawer; the mixer attachments, rubber spatulas, pizza cutter, ice cream scoop, etc. are in the other drawer.
The double drawer, approx. 30 inches wide, is also shallow. It is divided in the middle. One side of it is where I store all the "lunch making" items: roll of foil, plastic cling wrap, and wax paper; snack/sandwich bags, freezer bags; plastic spoons and forks, etc. The other side is my "useful" drawer (a.k.a. "junk" drawer) - here, I store such useful items such as twist ties, rubber bands, plastic produce bags (used to make sure packed lunches don't leak gravy, etc.), the permanent marker with which to label items, and so on and so forth. A drawer organizer keeps things more or less separated.
How many kitchen drawers do you have? How are they organized? What do you keep in them?

I too have 5 drawers but I have TONS of cabinet space. One either side of my stove, I have drawers that are I believe 21" x 21". The left one holds all of my knives, on cushioned liner. I'm not a big fan of knife blocks out on the counter.
The one to the right of the stove has all of the silverware.
On the other side, next to the sink, there is one shallow large drawer which has drawer dividers and holds tongs, large spoons, whisks and spatulas. In the back of that drawer is my kitchen scale because it's flat.
The two drawers below that are very deep. The bottom most one holds my pyrex dishes with tops for storing leftovers and my pyrex mixing bowls. The drawer in the middle holds all of my measuring cups, measuring spoons, kitchen aid mixer attachments and a variety of other kitchen tools. I have a large clear bin in that drawer to try and separate some of it.
I buy very large things of plastic wrap and aluminum foil at Costco so I keep those on shelves in the pantry so I don't have to move them. I simply take the bowl or plate over to the wrap and do it there.

I am fortunate in that I have 4 wide drawers, so I put junk and batteries in one, the next one holds the silverware, next one, Ice tea and other type items, and skewers, next one baking tools.
On the other side of the kitchen I have 2 deep drawers, one is for papers, foil, plastic bags, the one under it, holds my kitchen towels and washcloths.
I also have 3 small drawers under the stovetop. One is for the cooking utensils, one is for measuring cups, and knives, and the next one is for silverware used when I cook, and for myself to use.

Drawers. I have 6. 5 are small, meaning narrow and shallow, and one is deep
Two of the small ones open into each other meaning that one is almost completely useless. In that one, I have bag clips, rubber gloves and a few items rarely used as it is very hard to open. The adjoining drawer has dish towels and wash cloths and spare door keys.
the third shallow drawer is next to sink (the other side) and holds all the big knives( I don't like the knife block either). On the counter top is a round stainless vented container(thankyou ikea) that holds the spoons, spatulas, turners that we use all the time.
The fourth drawer is silverware and the fifth is misc items used but not often(basting brushes, pastry cutter, thermometer, wine opener, garlic press, straws, etc.
The last drawer is like a built in bread drawer and this one holds overflow of kitchen utensils we use but not all the time, ladles, sheese grater, big serving forks, hand held strainer, etc.

As they say, stuff expands to fill the available space. I have plenty of drawers, but I do not cook all that much. Still, they are over-stuffed. I have a drawer for all things sharp. Another is for towels and cloths. One for silverware, one for paper supplies, and one for aprons and little racks. I have a drawer for pencils, scrap paper, scissors, etc, and finlly, I have the utensil drawer stuffed with measuring cups and spoons, spatulas, etc.

1. silverware 2. in two plastic low baskets :measuring cups, skewers, cheese grader, popsicle thingy and few other things I forget... In between the baskets, my good knife, my extra knife and the bread knife, also a few big utensils that doesn't fit in the ceramic pot beside the stove. 3. all of the boxes for plastic wrap, aluminum foil, parchment paper and baggies, I also have a small hand mixer with its attachments. 4. all of my dish towels and rags, this one is deeper.
That's it, I live with it very well. I cook almost daily and I've found the more you have, the more you have to clean at the end!
