Today felt like a Wednesday all day, don't know why?? I also hung around a bit after work wondering what I was forgetting... Should have looked at my day planner; I wouldn't have missed my psychologist’s appointment!

Was at the plant nursery when I got the call... went for some flowers, had planted seeds but that was a bust, too old probably dried out. Planted the flowers in the planter box I have in front and in pots out back. Was going to do it tomorrow but was too eager. Looks nice and summery wink

Grilled marinated chicken breast for supper along with vegetables and sat for a while. I was looking at my new plants and flowers, day dreaming about owning a piece of lawn in a not so distant future, love and miss gardening.

Very hot and humid today, I'm beat already. Did a load of laundry so no more to do tomorrow, will fold it in a little bit. Will clean up the kitchen and sweep the floors since the broom is out from sweeping the dirt off the patio and front porch. I get tomorrow off so that it for tonight, should read for school, have a few chapters left...

Hi ladies - another hot day here, so I've got laundry hanging from every available place!

Made a few more phone calls and texts to sort things out this morning, and a bit more shopping. Spoke to my dad, he's still taking on a lot more than I'd like at home (he is caring for his older sibling) but there's not a lot I can do about that one.

Got another hour and a bit before I pick DD up from school, will hang up more laundry, bit of tidying/dishwashing and look for a party present for tomorrow. I am terrible at buying presents, I just wander around shops and wait for inspiration to strike!

Have a good one ladies

It's hot again today but not as much as yesterday - it was 29 with 60% humidity. Today I think its about 22.

I've got half my ironing done, so I just need to put that away, and a I've done all the shopping and put that away.

DD#1 is going camping overnight with the youth group. I'm encouraging her to go, but would you please tell this momma's heart to trust that God will protect and watch over her. Bit nervous, not about physical protection, but about emotional protection. She's not quite bonded with the group and feels very alone at times. I'm encouraging her to look at the positives and ways to be friendly to those around her. I know it's not really productivity related, but it's what's on my heart this morning.

Productivity is all centered on getting her ready for the campout.

Cya!

Wendy: Hoping DD will enjoy her camping trip. I'm sure she'll be fine and have a good time. But does she have a cell phone or a way to communicate with you, should she feel the need to do so, while she's away? Would that be helpful?

The first time my DD went away overnight, alone, meaning without me (in 6th grade, with the school choir, for a competition, and she wanted to go), I got her a cell phone and gave her strict instructions to call me at specific intervals! laugh More for my own peace of mind, because I felt very guilty for not being able to go as a chaperone, but I couldn't leave my invalid mother. DD had a great time; I was a basket case! laugh

Wendy:
Definitely will pray you and DD settle down and enjoy the time. Kind of like the momma bird shooing the babies out of the nest.
Hopefully , they will love her.

Diana, This has really been a struggle for us. She's come away several times crying because supposedly noone goes out of their way to talk with her. We realize that there are two sides of the story, and know personally that a few girls have tried to make her feel welcome. Unfortunately, because they don't stick around ALL the time, she thinks they don't like her. Trying to help her not keep focusing on herself, but how she can be a blessing to others. So hard to not be mommabear and go knock some heads!

Well, the new plumber I hired is great! Very nice fellow, retired major plumber from NYC.

It took all day to do the job, but we ran into some unforeseen problems, we had to get more parts, etc. All in all I was very happy with him and we will work together again on Tuesday. His rate was great also!

I slept in yesterday till 8:30, unheard of for me! Took it easy in the morning, then went to the bank, etc. Had to get my hand truck tires fixed at the garage.

Walked Finn to mom's "OLD" house and back, he walked like a show dog. Back on the trail, he doesn't walk very well, actually, he drags me the whole time! LOL!

Took the linen closet and office closet half apart, have some plans to switch things around a bit this weekend. I need some supplies at one of the big box stores, so I will pick up some shelving brackets while I am there also and hopefully my closet revanp will work out.

This morning I have to deliver the job for Tuesday, I have no help and it is really heavy stuff. Uggh. Luckily, I am pretty strong.

Have a great weekend all!!!

Waterlady:
Glad the new plumber will work out! Too cute about Finn's show dog walk. LOL

Wendy:
Yep, DD is use to you and family attention, and being home schooled. Hopefully someone will make an extra effort and she will understand about give and take.
