Everyone is soooo busy, and productive! That is great!
Been taking it easy, resting in between vacuuming and mopping. Sat with foot up most of the evening. Swelling almost gone!
Thank you all for the well wishes.

Today is my monthly luncheon and I am the hostess, just a little dessert and coffee to serve. The hostess picks the restaurant, and serves dessert at her home. Fun way to try new restaurants, and sit down and visit for an afternoon,

Oh Diana, I love your idea of restaurant, then dessert and visit at someone's house! May have to steal that one!

Just found out this morning that I will get to go to the music school I attended last summer! SUPER STOKED! Even better, my DAD will be going too! He's a newly appointed music director and I'm sure will glean a lot from the school! This will be a great experience for both of us. We've never done something like this...ever! Looking forward to it!

During the school, my dear stepmom will keep the girls. Afterwards, I'll take dad home and stay for a week to visit other family. CANNOT wait for that!

Super sad that DH won't be able to go, but we just have to wait until he can get some vacation built up again. Will definitely miss him the two weeks we're gone!

Been getting things done around here. Already helped DD#1 put two loads of laundry on the line, tidied up the basement, gathered more things for the garage sale this weekend, and watered the plants.

AWANA dinner tonight, then off for the summer. Planning mode only!! YEA!

Cya later!

Wendy,
How exciting! I love that your Dad and you will be together and your step mom will keep the girls.

Yes, it is fun to plan the hostess part, and just small dessert because we had lunch!

Glad your swelling is going down Dianaro!

I've found that things go more smoothly when taking baby steps each day on a number of different projects rather than working all day on just one. If I concentrate on the one, then the other ones really fall behind, and I still don't get the one done.

So, today, besides the mundane: wash hair, run errands, do laundry, and nap, I also worked some on an art sketch for a project, picked up the 500 slides transferred onto a dvd by a company in town (they will still need labeling), did a new 20 min. workout (which will need to be logged), emailed friends, and sent out a newsletter to a group. After supper I'll iron and get ready for tomorrow.

I feel the same way Jo, I always try to do a little bit in every area. Been really tired this week, had no motivation for house work, took post-it note and wrote 5 things I could do in every room to make it look better. 3 easy and 2 more time consuming. Did 2 chores in each room: in both bedrooms (dust furniture and put away clothes) in the living room (paid bills and dusted there too) kitchen (put away the dishes and cleaned the fridge) bathroom (wiped appliances and sanitized the loo). At least this much is done. No I haven't weeded out files or vacuumed and stored away the winter rugs but it's good enough for now. I get Friday off, I'll get it done...

Then I took a nap! Went grocery shopping afterwards, I'll be needing breakfasts and suppers until next Monday then can get by with lunches through to next weekend. It was so nice outside I ate on the patio while sipping a beer and reading my magazine.

Went to get the mail, another subscription has come in, yipee one less magazine to deal with each month; only keeping the one I prefer. I found another box filled with them! I can't understand why I feel this urge to look through them one last time, it bothers me to no end but still can't shake the feeling I'm missing something good!

I'm off to bed in a bit, will read some school stuff before I fall asleep, hopefully I'll dream about it and it will practically write itself tomorrow evening...

Now I need to rethink my weekend. The lady that I was going to join a garage sale with decided not to do it this weekend, but next. Yea, that I don't have to get all my stuff together tomorrow, but boo, my plans changed. Aren't I the whinny one?!?! No, really I don't mind, it just seems that's how my week has gone. Planned one thing, another happens! I'm getting better at being fluid....going with the flow!

Should go to bed, but I'm wired again and it's hot in the house. Doesn't make for good sleeping.

Cya!

Wendy, now you can go garage saling instead of having one! We are having a major one in town this weekend. I can't wait to go!

Are you coming back to NY with your dad?

Bubblegum, I had the same problem with magazines. I stopped all subscriptions and never missed them. Recently I got two free subscriptions, and I haven't even looked at them, read the covers and tossed them. Gone are the days I would love to sit down after grocery shopping and enjoy a women's magazine. I tossed almost 200 of them when I moved, so I don't like them getting in my door now!

Did two jobs yesterday, got back early and got the supplies I need for today's job at the hardware store. Walked the dog early as it looked like rain, we got caught in the drops coming back.

Today I meet with my new plumber, I do hope he is good (and reasonably priced) Had the boys next door help me load my truck. My supplier also delivered another big job to my door again, this time I saved over $250 in shipping costs! And I don't have to go to NJ to meet them now.

After I get my job in today, I have to deliver the other one and will probably have to go to Home Depot for more parts. It's going to be a long day.

Hi all - Dianaro, good to hear that the leg is better, and my belated happy-dancing congratulations to Waterlady. It can be a bitter-sweet moment, I know.

Well the house passed inspection on Monday, it's a regular thing that the agents comes round every three months. My daughter was off school sick the following day, it's amazing how fast the place went downhill! Yesterday, she went back to school and we went to see the Olympic Torch Relay in the evening. It was fun, and very hot here for a change!

Today I've done a few minor things, paid bills and made phone calls. I've made some progress with the school this week (at last ...) and also had a report from the Speech Therapy service who are willing to assess my daughter further (which is what I was looking for). More small wins, but they are adding up!

Have a good day, everyone!

Yep, Waterlady, I get to take Dad back home, then stay for a week so I'll get to see family too. So excited!!

Vanilla, it's been warming up here too. Supposed to be in the 90's! Geesh, we're just starting summer!

Still not sure what the day will hold. Skyping with Linda after devotions with the girls, that's a good start.

Cya!

It was way to hot to do anything much today, so I just did the very basics and spent most of the day sewing a pocket organiser bag. Hopefully it will be cooler tomorrow if not, I will complete the bag! smile
