Everyone seems to be very productive!

Today, I called the gymnastics studio to say DD isn't taking the class today (she's not feeling well), did 3 loads of laundry, including the bed sheets, remade the beds, did 3 loads of dishes, organized the tall (floor to ceiling) kitchen cabinet, watered the garden, both front and back, swept the bathroom, finished the kitchen branch work (cleared & wiped counters, cleaned the microwave, scrubbed the kitchen sink and dish drainers, swept and mopped the floor, and wiped the stove top again.)

I also took a nap and sewed on my patchwork quilt and read a bit.

Yesterday I finally emptied the first of four large file cabinet drawers. I was only going to do a little stack at a time, but the more I sorted and tossed the more I kept on! So I tossed a heavy garbage bag of papers out! Next step is to fine-tune them and make folders for the very few that are going back. I love having the empty space in there, instead of them being so jammed I couldn't pull anything out!

It was a drawer of decades of pictures, calendars, cards, photos, paper scraps, etc., that I kept for reference, as a painter. I had file folders for pictures of barns, people, mountains, trees, etc. What was nice is that I'd saved greeting cards, blank ones, that I can now mail out. I'd saved postcards, which now can go into my postcard file boxes. I found cards that my departed mom had sent me that had pretty scenes, but also had her notes written to me on them. It was like hearing her voice all over again. I found old photos of pretty places, that happened to have my children, as youngsters, in the background. So this whole project turned into something very special. No wonder the drawer took me all day!

Jo, a tedious job but sounds like you did some good tossing!!

I got a lot more done yesterday.

I got the basement windows uncovered and put the screens in. Put away the stain and brushes from the deck. Made the potato salad (Laura was thrilled to share it) Took down the plastic windows on the front porch and decided in my mind how I am going to re-arrange that room.

Sat outside with Laura on the deck, we filled the pond and listened to the water flowing. The cops were back, they said they made an arrest just an hour before. Hope it wasn't my no-show tree guy, I've got to get the limbs off mom's lawn by tomorrow noon!

Update: the kid came to cut mom's grass, did the front and side yard and a path on the other side. Charged me next to nothing.

Tree guy is here!!!!! Right now climbing up my huge oak, I don't know how these guys do it!

Got the last of the stuff out of mom's house. Filled the back of the pick up. (fans, cleaning supplies, tools.) Put it all in the storage locker until I can sort through it. Bought the carbon monoxide detectors and smoke alarms and installed them. Took the blower and cleaned the deck and walkway. Wiped down the bathroom quick. 23 hours and counting.

Just have a small load of laundry going on over there and I am done.

Had crazy dreams last night and then couldn't sleep.

And, I got a new plumber!!!! He lives here in town and hopefully he will work out fine. So, everything is falling into place.

Thank you all for your well wishes and thoughts and prayers.

The mold guy is not giving me the papers I need after I paid him over $1600.

Oh well, the lawyer was aware of everything as we went along.

Let's see what happens. The whole mold thing is BS to me. Anyone with any questions can PM me. Unfortunutly()sp) I am not certified, but know a lot about this.

Real estate broker has not answered lots of questions I have before closing. I'm getting annoyed.

15 hours and counting.....

Took a hot shower, washed my hair sat in the sun to let it dry so I can "style" it in the morning. Laura invited me out to dinner but, I did my nails instead and just took it easy tonight.

If you can remember me in your prayers tonight, I would appreciate it. Thanks everyone!!

What a nightmare! Definitly will pray for you. That is horrible that the guy is being a jerk. Threaten to sue him!
Did you get a receipt? Shame on him.

One more AWANA thing is completed, only the Thank You Dinner to go! YIPEE!

Enjoyed a nice day with the family, church, eat, nap, church again, run 1-1/2 (the whole way!), snacked and chilled. Now calming down after showering and the family's already in bed.

ETEing will be on the agenda tomorrow. Family did it again...their stuff is here, there and everywhere. I spent 15 minutes myself putting stuff away just so we could have some cleaned off counters in the AM. No worries, they'll just have to fix it tomorrow before they do their fun stuff. : )

Well, I'm gonna read a bit before bed! Nite!

Great going Wendy! One more AWANA dinner and you are done!
WHOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Not productive at all. Have an infection in my leg, and I need to elevate it and ice it to get the swelling down. TYG, not in pain, but nothing deep cleaning getting done. It waits!

I am thrilled and happy and grateful to report that I CLOSED ON MOM'S HOUSE!!!

Things were a bit crazy all morning, including needing Laura (TYG for my friends) having to come with me to climb behind the bushes and get the meter reading first thing this morning. I was afraid there was a skunk under the porch, and was imagining (in my worry wort thinking I have) that I would be "skunked" and miss the closing. ROFL!

The tree guy was here this morning in the pouring rain dragging the limbs off the property and cutting them up.

It all went well, and I'm done. My brother and I went out for a quick lunch afterward and a nice drink. I'm ready to collapse!
