OMG what a day I had.

I got out early to finish cleaning under the deck. We are talking at the most, maybe two hours ultimately.

I started at 10 and finished at 3. The new plumber I thought I hired called and said he didn't want to take on any new jobs. I bounced a check with my supplier cause my bank didn't cover 80 cents that I was overdrawn. Then the lawyer called about the closing (HEY, it's Friday- you just decided to look at everything that was faxed to you all along and it doesn't look right??? You need all this paperwork by 5 pm?????

I'm having a meltdown. I'm also having an emotional one as well, I am finally "letting go" of everything that is left of Mom's. Very, very hard.

Then, I put in a few calls to a few plumbers that I know I will have to pay through the nose for, they haven't called me back. Ugggh.

I still have branches laying on my garage since the Halloween storm and have called the tree guy several times. A new guy is working down the street, I worked out a great payment plan with him to do the work tomorrow morning. I just found out an hour ago he just got out of prison (OMG)

Then, the cops pull into my driveway, then move down the street to Mom's house. OK. I walked down and said, What's the problem?

He tells me the (new) guy opposite mom's is a known drug dealer and they keep arresting people pulling in to his driveway. I asked him about the tree guy that had been working there, and he said to not let him in my house. As we were talking, a car pulled in the "suspicious" house, and off the cop went. I'm glad I have an alarm system in my house.

I'm freaking out here.

Got the deck and stairs stained. I am working on "nervous?? energy right now.

Waterlady, I hope you find a plummer soon and don't have to pay too much.

I finished work this morning and am now off for the next 6 days. Of course, I have a long to-do list that I'm hoping to do most of the things on it.

Today, I did the grocery shopping and went to pharmacy. Then after supper, I mowed the lawn. It took me a loongg time to cut it because it was the first time I was doing it this year. I let it go too long. But now, I'm glad it's done. Afterwards all I did was watch some TV with DH until he went to bed. I'll soon be following him.

Can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring!

Waterlady: BREATHE! LOCK THE DOORS! BREATHE SOME MORE!! THEN COME DOWN SOUTH FOR A VISIT!! No, really, praying things will clam down quickly for you and the work will be done immediately and without problems.

I'm sorry I can't catch up with the rest of you...things are really hopping around here. I spent most of the day alternating between doing schoolwork with the girls and preparing for the AWANA Awards ceremony on Sunday.

I just completed a Powerpoint presentation. It took most of the afternoon and evening. I also ordered the cake, started filling out the participation certificates, made some phone calls, fixed homemade pizza for supper, watched the rest of a movie with the family and ran with DH.

Now, I'm going to head off to bed and CRASH!!! Nite all!

waterlady, you have alot on your plate! Be safe!

Finished up my work week, was exhausted yesterday. Waiting for DS to wake up...was going garage saling, but maybe not. Going to kids bday party this afternoon, then having family bday party for ds tonight. DH bought all the food yesterday, have to make a cake and a surprise game for ds later. thinking about buying a pinata for fun. We just had company over last wkend so hopefully not too much cleaning up to do.

Tmorrow have to pack a suitcase for trip next week since I have to work the three days prior to leaving. not looking forward to packing. DH got a new computer to replace the dead one and got it up and running. Going to make breakfast now and get going!

Thanks girls! Today is a new day!

The tree guy didn't show up. I don't understand in this economy when I have cash to pay and there is nothing but no-shows.

As my neighbor said, "Last night was Friday night."

I was up and out early, finished the railings on the deck. Washed the table down and brought it up. Got the pond/waterfall out and set it up on the deck. I just need some flowers now and my deck is ready for the summer.

Washed the kitchen and bathroom floor and vacuumed the rest of the downstairs except for the office. The wood floors could use a quick damp wipe.

Boiled some potatoes, maybe I will make potato salad later. Also made a romaine salad to go with dinner.

Need to uncover the basement crawlspace windows, will probably do that now and get it over with.

I don't get it either. On Monday, I called our handyman and asked him to come fix something. He said, sure I'll be there tomorrow. Then tomorrow became Wednesday. He never showed up on Wednesday. He KNEW the thing was leaking all over. On Thursday he showed up and my mother was here and she said he was REALLY crabby. Then, apparently when he worked on the faucet outside something happened to the sprinklers and he has to come fix that now.

Unfortunately, this is a friend of ours or I'd never use him again.

So far today I did 3 loads of laundry and put them away, mended a pair of wool socks and put up 2 strips of wallpaper. We have 1 wall in the living room that will be wallpapered and had put 2 strips a week ago to see what it would look like. It's more time consuming doing it by myself but doable.

Today is the hotest day we've had this spring so it's really nice. I did sit outside a bit with DH. I mind the heat too much so I sat in the shade. This evening, we're going to see a concert by Percy Sledge. (Ah, sweet memories of our younger years....) Can't wait to see him.

Busy work day here too.

-Went to the church to get things ready for the AWANA ceremony tomorrow. (2 hours)

-To library to pick up a few things and get some lessons on downloading their audiobooks (1 hour)

-visit a friend in a rehab facility (1-1/2 hours)

-ran some errands (2 hours)

and of course the time it took to get to all of these places. Meant I got home around 4pm.

-warmed up supper and ate.

-made frozen fruit "cream", DEVOURED that while relaxing, reading a magazine on the screened in porch.

-watered plants

-now in here, debating if I'd like to hit the hay early!

Just might! Cya!
