Here we go with a new thread. For those who'd like, here is a link to Part 1

Did bare minimums today....made the bed and ete'd in the kitchen & living room, and sprayed/rinsed/wiped in the bathroom. Spent a mostly relaxing day...I could do Mother's Day much more frequently! lol

Have a great week all.

Bonnie: I'm all in favor of a monthly mother's day, myself! laugh

Had a productive weekend - did all the laundry, including bedding, bath mats, etc.; cleaned both bathrooms; cleaned my bedroom, including organizing several of the dresser drawers; tidied/swept the family room; washed the kitchen lower cabinet and drawer fronts and washed the stove top and vent hood. Weeded in the garden. Went out to lunch for mother's day with DD, cousin, and cousin's DD (the 2 DDs took out the 2 mothers).

Very productive Bless!

I spent most of the weekend in the garden digging the side lawn up. I have dug a third of it up and moved all the surplus soil levelling it ready for the paving slabs.

We also visited the in laws and did some shopping ready for our weekend away next month. I vacuumed and mopped the kitchen too.

In school all day today, but I am hoping to get more work done in the garden later.

Had fun the rest of the wkend, found some more bargains at neighborhood yard sale (croquet set, clothes and shoes for DS), met some of the neighbors with kids as well. Local festival was great..DS did the bounce house and slide for almost 2 hrs straight! Great part is that it was free. Yest, wogke up early to get the rest of the house company ready- cleared off dining room table, polished table, ironed tablecloth, set the table, wiped down kitchen table, polished side tables in the living room. Had a blast strawberry picking with DS/DH and came back with 5 lbs. Picked up a plant for MIL. Made a boxed cake for dessert for strawberry shortcake. Family gettogether for Mother's Day was nice. DH surprised me with some goodies, including a cast iron pan (which I don't know how to use yet), and nice paring/cutting knife.

Paid a few bills online last night, cleared off my bedroom table of clothes, did 2 loads of laundry, folded 2 more. Cleared out and organized 2 shelves in the freezer and slowly getting rid of our freezer food, talked to my mom on the phone. Today have to go drop off mortgage check. Will tie in some more errands to this trip. Planning on making buttermilk pancakes for breakfast, salmon, brown rice, broccoli for dinner. Do some menu planning. DH doing research on what we need to do to upgrade or replace our computer that died.

Hope to post some more productivity later!

Finally had some energy to tackle the yard. Got 8 bags of leaves done in the front yard. The perimeter is all done now. Weeded the edges as I raked.

Planted some hostas and Laura gave me some daisies. I still want to move a lot of plants.

Yesterday I worked on the deck and stained the railings. Dumped all the window boxes and refilled them with new potting soil. Made a list of things to pick up at the nursery.

Had to fix the toilet, it wasn't refilling right, so I saved a bunch of money doing it myself. I'm so lucky to have a hardware store right here, I don't have to drive to the big box stores.

Did three loads of laundry, put away two so far. Will have to make the change of winter/summer clothes, a task I dread. It's going to pour tomorrow, so I'll probably tackle it then.

My neighbor got home early from work, she came over and we had a glass of wine on the deck to celebrate Mother's Day.

Laura made a great pasta dinner and shared it with me.

It was a nice weekend and great weather.

Feeling a bit lethargic today, so I just tacked pruning back a few trees and changing my bed.

Yesterday I started to sort out my revision time table for the exam in three weeks time. I got 39/40 in the last mock so I hope I keep up that score. I'm hoping to get a distinction and then move onto level 2 which if I pass will give me a C in GSCE English. After which I have to start on the Maths and that is a totally different story.

Having a hard time getting things into gear today. I think the lazy weekend kinda spoiled me!! My family was sure sweet to me!

Going to enjoy some time with fellow homeschool moms tonight. It's the last Mom's Night Out until next year. I'm so glad I get to go!
Cya!

I'm starting a "Just in case" notebook. It is necessary information in case anything happens to my hubby. He is scheduled for surgery soon, so it got me thinking about:

Finances: list of all banks, insurance companies, credit cards, etc, their account numbers, how and when bills are paid (electronically or automatically or by mail).

Most importantly, passwords!

Location of keys and combinations

How things work and the location of their instruction manuals (mowers, man-tools, etc)

I am sure there are many more. I had tried to do this before, but it all needs to be updated and a system in place.

Hi ladies - everyone seems to be busy this week!

Did a bit more tidying today, printed and filed some paperwork for a bible study I'm doing and kept the kitchen tidy. I can manage to get the rooms tidy and clean, but it's keeping them all that way all at the same time that defeats me!

Have a good day!
