Bonnie - No school this week the kids are away on a residential activity trip. Also as I went to college Tuesday night I have today off too. So although I have been busy I feel like I am on "holiday" as it is all work done at home Diana - Thanks I like to keep busy although my muscles ache after all the work in the garden. Yesterday as I was not at school I cleaned the ground floor of the house vacuuming, mopping and wiping surfaces. I also cleaned the downstairs toilet. As well as that I went to the dentist for a filling. Today I am off to take DS to nursery, then the girls are coming for a cuppa and a catch up. When they have gone I plan to vacuum the bedrooms and at around 4pm my granddad is coming over for the evening. Have a great day all!

Bonnie - well done on the quilt. Is that one of your quilts in your avatar? It's amazing!
Actually took the bags to the charity shop this morning - woo hoo! Still have two filled bags to put out for collection tomorrow. I am hoping this inspires me to sort out my own wardrobe properly next week!
One load of laundry out to dry, need to write and post some cards to my niece for her birthday, walk to the post box and then have a shower. Might not get as much housework done today as I'd hoped but it's been a good day really.
Have a good one, ladies!

Whew, everyone is busy!
I sold the job I went to on Tuesday. Now to find my plumber!
Yesterday I had an early job, then went to the Supermarket for a few specials. When I came home, I tackled the papers on the counter that started to pile up again. Took the dog for a walk early as it looked like rain. Then we went for a ride to the post office etc.
The back gardens are filling with weeds, so took a section and worked on it for about a half hour, got a lot done. Want to move some hostas later to fill up the space I made.
Today I have no work so far, so I want to tackle the office before it gets out of hand again. (happens so easily!) Then, this afternoon Laura and I are going to PA to take DSIL's mother out for dinner for her birthday. She is 87 and a lot of fun. It's about a half hour ride and Laura gets home around 3, so we should be able to get back before dark. We have a world famous chef's bakery here in town, I'll pick up a small cake there, they have very fancy items.
Did an "oil" treatment on my hair last night, hope it washes out this morning!
Have a great day all!

Going strawberry picking today!! Yea! Just hope my leg doesn't keep me from having fun! I pulled something and it's kinda sore. BUT, I did run TWO WHOLE MILES yesterday!! (My leg started hurting afterwards) I think I stretched out my stride too much on Monday, and because I ran farther than normal yesterday, I made it worse.
So I didn't work out today, and will not be running for a few days. Sure hope that works! I don't want to lose the momentum or progress I've made!
Have fun today everyone!

Picked lots of strawberries!! Fun times!! Got over 35lbs, I think. Went with another family and had a good visit. Now I need to wash and freeze them.
Washed the van when we got home. Girls helped...some. You know how they start helping and get distracted! Such a beautiful day, I didn't mind!
Cya later!

Wow, lots of strawberries Wendy. Good going.
Well, had knitting, went grocery shopping, came home and my plant came into the farm, headed out there, bought some more plants, and then put groceries away, cooked dinner, cleaned the front porch and window and light fixture. Hung a copper butterfly I picked up from HL for 50 off. Did some phone calls and now will do some embroidery.

Had a great visit with DSIL's mom, Laura couldn't make it, she was home sick. I really didn't want to travel alone, but I didn't want to disappoint her either (you know how seniors look forward to a visit) We sat and chatted for 2 hours, then I took her out to eat at a small place near her house and I was home by 7.
Tackled a few things in the office before I left, mostly corralling any estate papers that were loose on the desk.
Hope it warms up today a little more. Need to do somethings outside.

Good haul of strawberries!
Been waiting in today for some couriers to come and pick up parcels (not arrived yet!) so spent the morning tidying the kitchen and giving the floor a really good wipe. Also noticed how bad the walls are, will add that to my list of things to deep-clean! Ended up having a late lunch and need to collect DD soon so the day seems to have raced away!
Took DD to the drama class last night - I thought it had gone well, but she doesn't seem keen to return. I will work on this ... I'm not sure why she doesn't want to go back.
Have a good one, ladies!

Hello ladies, wow Wendy good pickings!
That was very thoughtful Waterlady I'm sure she appreciated it!
Purdy, good luck on your studying!
Well I'm home today and the sun is out! Found some seeds the other day and have planted them, some in front and some out back, now let's see which planter box wins the race of germination!
Yesterday I was tired after my last day of seminar, it went well glad to have practiced my 'moves' and had the opportunity to meet new people in our organization. DS was home also, so I took the opportunity to finish up April's budgeting and started with the receipts I had from may. I did the dishes, took a shower and went to bed to read before falling into a deep coma!
Woke up around 9:00, feeling refreshed. Coffee and a bagel, then laundry, shredded papers and planting. Now getting ready to weed out more files and let the shredder rest before I finish the last batch! Then sweep the floors and mop. In the afternoon I will work on my class assignment.
Have a good day!
