Wow Bubblegum look at you go! The rest of you are busy also. Wendy so glad the performance went well. Diana I am happy to hear you are refreshed after your trip.

I have been busy too with laundry, ironing, and the cleaning of the house. I dropped three bags of donations off and packaged all my Ebay sales for this week.

In the past few days I have also visited my granddad, dad, friends and on Saturday we went to a family party for DSIL as it was her 50th birthday.

I am home for the majority of the week, so I am just in the process of making a task list to keep me focused. Be back later smile

Wendy;
I knew it would be a wonderful show.

Karen:
Met some lovely people from the UK visiting the US. One lady from UK and her cousin from Scotland, and my friends and I sang some old songs together on the boat tour while we were outside.
Had some great fun together!

Had a little stomach upset this morning , so taking it easy and doing babysteps.

Diana, re stomach upset, backlash from the boat ride?? LOL wink

Have to leave soon for work. Just wanted to say I gave it my all this morning, overslept a bit so not quite done. Got a huge pile of shredding, a paper bag full of recycle and a not so huge pile to file (I have some sorting, not all will be filed just put it in there to deal with it later...) The action is near the laptop station, where I usually take care of papers and phone calls.

Made it quite simple with the four categories. I think this is where I had problems, to much categories and shredding and filing and actions all mixed up. My mind is much more focused now.

Have a good day all!

Bubblegum:
The paperwork never ends, but if you get this done, you can pick a day a week or two and just file away to keep up at it.
Just removed my April folder and need to file those bills away, and bring out the May folder.

No, don't know what the stomach upset was from, but it is now gone, TG!

Today I finished two big art projects that HAD to be done this week. I did the first baby step of organizing digital photos by moving a batch from the laptop to the main computer where they'll be sorted. More batches to move, but at least they'll all be in one place.

This month so far: I donated a bag of clothes that no longer fit (did they shrink or something?)

I also began an exercise log and am determined to do some every day.

Diana, you gave me an idea: instead of trying to file as needed, I think I'll keep a 'to file' folder with me next to the laptop and file it all away at the end of each month. I have one in the cabinet that grows and grows until it's not manageable! This way I have no big build up and only a few minutes on one day of filing per month! 12 per year? yeah! I can live with that!!

Used to have a desk day each week but since I get paid every two weeks now, doesn't work out as well. Have also a lot less bills to pay. This way I'll still check and pay bills twice a month but will take care of filing and do the budgeting in one fell swoop. It's worth a try.

Tonight was a hard work shift. Don't like to work with new people they're so new! Didn’t feel like playing teacher frown kids overreacting everywhere until 9:30, I'm tired. Need to relax and go to bed, working in the morning...

Wendy, great to hear that the concert went so well. Purdy, good to hear your meeting went well too.

We had a good bank holiday weekend, back to normal today. It's supposed to be a day of half-decent weather (and possibly the only dry one for a bit!) so I am doing laundry today. This will mean another ironing binge tomorrow, LOL!

Aiming to do some general cleaning and tidying too. I need to send an email to book DD into a drama group for a trial lesson, hope she likes it and wants to keep going.

I had one job yesterday with a lovely senior that I think wanted company more than a service call! Glad I wasn't in a rush to another appointment.

Didn't get much done here except the usual dishes, etc. Laura wanted me to color her hair, which I did, then I asked her for help to do mine. My hair is very thick and shoulder length, I sure could use help doing it. She was pretty nervous, but I walked her through it as we went along. We really have a lot of fun together! (When I do my hair alone, my bathroom looks like a scene from "Psycho" ROFL!)

Had some leftovers for dinner. The weather is cloudy and rain off and on. Can't do the weed whacking/mowing yet, and it really needs it. Got to pull out the mower and try to get it started. Wish I could afford an electric one and just push a button.

Have a sales appointment this morning, practically have sold it over the phone before I get there! Here's hoping!

Diana I am glad you had a lovely time and got to meet some of my fellow Brits. I hope your stomach problems get better soon.

Well I was so busy yesterday I did not get chance to report back.

In the house I have done laundry, ironing and put the washing away. I have also wiped the surfaces in my bedroom and DS's room.

In the front garden I have laid another two paving slabs in the front yard and completed that row. I also moved four buckets of gravel from the back yard to the front to fill the gap in front of the slabs. This morning I cut the hedges on the front.

In the back garden I have began to dig part of the side lawn up that we want to pave. The surplus soil is being added to the bed at the back of the garden so it is being reused. I also moved another ten buckets of gravel to the bed at the side of the house.

The garden at the side of the house is now finished, so at least we have that part and the big back lawn to relax on in the summer. Although I am hoping to get the side lawn dug up and that area paved before the summer ends so DS can have a trampoline there. We will see if that happens smile

Last night I also started one of the final three college assignments I have, so it has been a hectic few days. Rest day tomorrow I think laugh

Back from vacation and have today to recoup. Slept in, took ds and dogs out for walk just now, unpacked 2 small bags and opened up 1/2 of the mail yesterday. Randonoy wiped down the dusty washer.dryer tops, cleaned a purse. Came back to a sparkling clean house thanks to dh. He also repainted the top of our living room fireplace and got a new mailbox. Nice surprises.

Our main computer died while I was gone. Will have to figure out what to do and buy a new one/upgrade. Trying not to think about the documents that were in the hard drive, Luckily all family pics were on our external drive. Also found a big crack in my vans windshield....fil thinks it is a stress fracture since nothing was done to it. Will have to call the dealership and figure out how to get it fix...hopefully still under warranty.

Will post more later hopefully.
