I've been asleep at the switch I think! Forgot to start a May thread for us!

Everyone was quite productive thru April and I'm sure we'll see more of the same in May! You gals always get lots done.

I've been keeping busy with dailies and maintenance as well as working at the office job and the quilting business. Have started tracking my time for the quilting business so as to better assess the actual time spent. Trying to make sure it fits in without taking over.

Have bills to pay this afternoon and laundry to finish up. I'm finding it much easier to tackle little bits each day rather than saving it up for the weekend! Gives me time to do fun stuff too! I like that!

Have a wonderful day all!

Bonnie, I just had to stop myself from opening the April thread up to post on it! May already!

Grocery shopping this morning, and a bit of a pamper session for myself this afternoon. I need to book myself a haircut and get some glasses this week too. Personal care is the bit that slips when I'm busy.

Was waiting for an appointment with DDs school but the person I want to see is off for the rest of the week, so that gives me a couple of whole days spare. And we have a bank holiday weekend coming up too, day off work/school on Monday so I'm planning some things for the weekend.

Have a good one, everyone!

Vanilla...I probably forgot to lock the April thread too! LOL

Good for you on the pamper session. That is so important! We Mom's & wives don't do that often enough for ourselves. I think good self-care enables us to take better care of our families too.

Have a great week!

I've been a bit busy this week with various stuff.

We had a sudden meeting at home dropped on us for Friday, so today I've been blitzing the front room. Iv still got to dust, vaccum and do a mountain of ironing before tomorrow afternoon, so I will get some it done this afternoon.

That is without the sitting room that still needs to be done, but hopefully we can keep it in the front room without going into the 'snug'.

All the odd stuff has been boxed up so is in my or Dad's bedroom, so both places look horrendous again. Yesterday it took me all day just to get the stuff out for the meeting, much to my dogs annoyance.

Haven't posted in a few days, was really busy.

DSIL did come up on Saturday. Her dog's surgery went very well, and was "recuperating" in the hospital.

I had already taken a few small loads to the storage locker and delivered two end tables to my girlfriend's. When DSIL came, we quick took a ride to the shelter to look at the red couch and chair. I decided not to take it, it did have some mildew in the cushions and I just didn't want to bother with it. Then we hit a few garage sales on the way back home.

We worked at mom's till about 8 pm, got a lot done. Sunday morning we got up early and went up to DSIL's country house, she had to turn the water on for the guy to pressure wash the house. Also, I had to fix her leaky toilet, LOL. We got back around 3 and spent the rest of the afternoon finishing packing up. We made a load in the driveway to go to the dump. I vacuumed the garage with the shop vac, and then DSIL finished vacuuming the basement. It's nice and clean for the new people. DSIL even bagged a few bags of leaves out of the driveway. We quit at 8 pm again. Monday we went to the dump FOR THE LAST TIME!!! DSIL left around 2.

Tuesday I was so tired I was glad I didn't have to run out to work. Yesterday I had a small job in the morning and today I have a few service calls (PTL)

Just waiting for a date to close on the house, I have only a small bag of cleaning supplies left to bring home, two fans running in the basement and have to swiffer the floors one last time. Still have to purchase 2 new smoke detectors and carbon monoxide alarms for the building inspector's walk through.

Have a great day all!

Purdy - good luck with the room clean, at least you got some notice of the meeting! Waterlady, you do sound busy but it seems to be approaching the end of the work at the house.

We are OK, tidied the kitchen this morning, done some laundry so when I hang the last load, I'll get the ironing board out and watch some prerecorded trash tv while I iron. The pile is just desperate now!

Have a good one!

Great going with all your work, Vanilla, Purdy, Waterlady and Bonnie!!

I've been really busy, but trying to take some breaks here and there. TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT!! Our performance is at 7pm!!! We did have a rough practice on Tuesday, but I've heard people say the worse the dress rehearsal is, the more wonderful the performance will be! Well, we're going to have a GREAT PERFORMANCE!!!!! : )

No, really, I'm very excited for tonight. Not just because of the real break I get to take next year, but because I've left this musical in the Lord's hands. It's His to do with it as He pleases. I just want to be used in any way He wants.

Been working with the girls to keep on top of the chores. DD#2 and I have been hanging our clothes out to dry. Got three loads on the line yesterday and two already this morning!

Well, I need to fix the little teacher gifts I got for my teachers. They had geraniums for $.98 each, so I got them one. Think I'm going to put tinfoil on the bottom and wrap with a ribbon, so there won't be any dirt falling out.

Have a great day everyone!

Wendy good luck with the performance!

Purdy good luck with the meeting.

Waterlady - you deserve a rest after all that.

I had college yesterday morning and I was working in school in the afternoon. I took DS to the park on the way home then chatted with my next door neighbour for a while. After dinner DS and I went to watch a dvd on our bed and fell asleep. We both slept from 7pm until 7am we must of needed it smile

Today I have been to a neighbours funeral. Then after picking DS up we went to the park. We have just had dinner, and other then put away the laundry I did this morning before going out I am done for the night.

Have a lovely evening all!

Been really busy, lately.

Tues: didn't get home till after 8:30 p.m. - Came home, cooked dinner, did the dishes, packed lunches, and went to bed!

Wed: came home from work at 6:30 p.m., watered the garden, both front and back, did a bit of weeding, cooked dinner, & did the dishes; at 8:15 p.m., left to put gas to the car and pick up DD from work (she finished working at 9:15 p.m.); came home at 10:00 p.m., had dinner, did more dishes, packed lunches, put away the remaining food, swept and mopped the kitchen floor, and went to bed.

Today: Wrote and left a note of instructions for the gardener, dropped DD off on campus and came to work. DD finished classes at noon and didn't have to work, so, she took public transit home (2 buses & subway - a 2 hr. journey). I plan to clean the bathrooms after I go home, today. Should also pay my bills.

Happy Dancing to be back once again, and determined to get cracking on organizing. First step is to make my master list for May. I've been side-tracked for too long and my lop-sided focus over the last few years has taken a toll! It's good to see some old familiar names still here!
