First off ladies, I have to say we need a WHOOOOO HOOOOOOO to each and everyone of us for continuing on the ROTM like we have been month after month, without giving up. You need to feel good about that. Lots of non-GONers would have just given up, do we, NO! We just continue with babysteps and determination. Give yourself a reward and a big pat on the back for your continued endeavors. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Well, even though I have to carry my ROTM again another month, it is looking so much better than the day I started it. Not going to stress over it. Babysteps have taken me pretty far along in finishing up the Room. With the garage sale at the card store this month, that will motivate me the next couple of weeks to get it packed up and priced.
So what are you all doing this month?

Dianaro......soo true about rotm looking better than it has.....same thing here.
I will continue in the office but in a slightly different vein due to things going on in my life.
This week is taxes with my accountant on saturday, so getting final details together this week. Gonna have a big big tax bill this year and he's going to look things over and give advice on tax strategy to minimize it this year.
Second, purchased a new computer. 17.3 inch laptop. For the new biz. Just got it home last nite and also took in the old small one from GA for repairs(special deal on repairs for 3 for 1 price) This is the one that I let the boys use when here and they managed to get a really really bad virus in it. It is fixable and I explained to them what happened and they are not allowed to use my other ones. (I was told by the tech guy that Facebook is absolutely the WORST for viruses-just clicking on a picture could infect your computer)
Third, working on real estate course. Hand is still healing and I am in therapy 3 times a week this and next weeks. Hoping to get back to morning shift so I can start to build a biz to leave the day job or be able to go parttime to keep benefits.Want to have class done and take test and get licensed by end of the month of April, sooner if I can do it.
Fourth, continue on rotm, which will happen as I work on all of the above.
Fifth, got SO and his son working on the outdoor areas. The 2 trees that need to come down are getting some minor trimming right now, and they are planning a massive tree cutting down weekend as the weather continues to warm up.

BL: Hoping the wrist is improving each day. You certainly are busy. Seems like everyone is this month for some reason!
Will be going into the ROTM today to sort thru more items.

Dianaro, the wrist is definitely improving but not as fast as I would like. I have very little patience for this. My friends are excited about this job opportunity and I see it as a way to also start the other biz as well. This could be the way to get my life in the direction I want, and the next year will be hard, but see the payoff coming too, and leaving the current job that has no appreciation for its employees is a major goal.
Yes progress is being made in rotm a little at a time and I am soooooo ready to finish it. I just keep reminding myself how far I have come with it. So this morning is an hour before work to do some filing and bill paying and will try to squeeze in 30 minutes of that for the class too

ROTM this month will be: TAXES! :p
But because I have to get the files organized and gather all the paperwork, I guess I'll be working on the Office room, as well.

I wish you well on the taxes Bless. Cannot believe I still am receiving info to include in taxes! Why not wait until the due date!!!! Frustrates me no end.
BL: Definitely better to look back at what was done, than what needs to be done, I agree.

Bless, I too am working on the taxes, will be meeting my accountant on Saturday afternoon. Then I can at least put that box away in the storage room.
Did manage about 20 minutes of just catch up filing the other day, and am spending the majority of free time on the online class. The longer it takes, the more leads I lose and the longer to make money. Have managed to enter codes for rewards points for sodas and other things online so was able to toss a bunch of small items to the trash can.
Dianaro, I too cannot believe you are still receiving tax stuff.

Diana I hadn't realized that there wasn't a due date for tax info. That was why DD had to file an amended return for me. Really made me mad.
I HAVE to get back on this board. I can see my life and house starting to slip. I don't want that. Instead of worrying so about parents (since they won't get rid of anything) I'm coming back to my house. So this month I'm going to spot around the house fixing some problems. e
I guess what I need to do is just walk around the house and list the things that I think might help me/it. It will probably help me toss some things too. Also the more I think about it I may go ahead and have a sale.
I'm doing pretty good with the yard work. I should be getting in some plants tomorrow. I'm making sure what I plant comes back each year. Should save a ton of money. Of course having such a mild winter helped. Just hope this summer isn't a repeat of last year's with the heat.
Today I'm going to finish wrapping Easter stuff and start going through the dining room and see what I can do in that room. I've been thinking about ways that might make it more efficient. Also that will mean I will have some stuff to sell.
Well I'm excited this week. It's only a four day week. I could really grow to like that to much.
Cindy

Pulled out the goodies I bought to make easter baskets for DB and SO's kids and have some cute boxes that will serve the purpose.
Spent a few hours in the office and it shows. Most of time spent in online class. So now I am almost finished with the second of 5 sections. OMG!!!! there is a lot to memorize that I won't be using again, just like in college!
Also took some time to RE-clear the desk top and file away everything that had gotten out of hand. Desktop is almost completely cleared with filing and logging in of receipts.
SO has a 3 day weekend and I have 2 days, so I am hoping to get into the basement and clear away the things he wants to get rid of. If we can do that, it will set the standard for his son when he is here. We have talked about it at length and SO agrees he has to be the one to have the talk(its not bad, its just that its not good down there either....and yes, not having kids, my standards are high)
Off to work now

Cindy There was a due date, they just haven't met it. Frustrates me to no end, and I had to vent.
I know, I personally have missed your postings and like hearing how you are doing.....we have been on here forever together, nd I like your ideas for decorating. The outside work, I don't do or like to do....perennials for me, but I grow more weeds than flowers. LOL
BL; Its a guy thing, they don't see "messes" the way we do! LOL Hopefully SO will speak with his son, or maybe he can be the cleaner upper when his son doesn't meet your standards! I know none of my business.
