Hi all! Haven't posted since last week! Boy, have I been in a funk! Last weekend was filled with too many commitments! I have to make it a point NEVER EVER to do that again! I had next-to-no me time and I can't blame the puppy. Then I bought a birthday gift ahead of time for DBF and then I hid it and couldn't remember where I had hid it! So, I'm going thru drawers and the closet and of course there's clutter clutter everywhere! I eventually found the gift but I just wanted to scream because of all the stuff I have (some of it I'm sure can be trashed), but the rest is not in places where it should be and I wasted precious time looking for the gift! Argh!!!!

I'm kinda feeling sorry for myself at the moment but that is not helping matters so I must shake the mood and fast. I mean, I'm knocking some stuff off my to-do list and I'm not all that happy! What's up with that!!!???

April Goals

Health
-Call doctor about change in meds
-Review ballet workout DVD's and put together a workout program for myself
-Start (again!) taking vitamins
-put reminders on my iPhone to take meds and vitamins daily
Also bought pill organizers
-make appointments for mammo, OB-GYN, dentist (bleh!!!)

House
-write-up Master Lists for each room in the house
-go through boxes in garage and take out items and set aside for Goodwill pick-up The items are all bagged and boxed-up and labeled ready for pick-up on Thursday. Yippee!
-alphabetize DVD's in bedroom and move to library shelves
-finish last 2 loads of laundry
-make up housework schedule (this is in progress). Made a complete list of all household chores, etc. that I need to do. Now, just have to put them into a doable schedule.
Making up this schedule is proving to be a bit of a challenge since I now have a dog and I want to fit a serious workout (weightlifting, etc.) in somewhere. I can't work out at lunchtime because I don't start work until 1:00 p.m. and don't take a "lunch break" until almost 4:00. Hmmmm...

Interests
-Mail vendors contracts and checks to Nancy for Zeta event
-mail birthday cards and check to church for Easter lilies
-upload photos to miniatures club web site
-finish finalizing miniatures club minutes and email them
-Put away supplies from last miniature project
-continue with miniature magazines index spreadsheet (ongoing)
-start miniature commission job (4 miniature bonnets for customer)

Personal
-take clothes to dry cleaners
-mail box of yarns to my mother only got as far as taping up the box because I ran out of packing tape. Will have to run to the store to get more. I bought more tape, finished getting the box together. The only thing I have to do is take the box to the post office.
-mail baby booties and hats to Zeta March of Dimes coordinator
-mail check for state taxes (due by April 30)
-check P.O. Box for Zeta mail
-went to Dollar General and picked up on some food items for the church food pantry and delivered them on Sunday.
-wrote thank-you notes for birthday cards and gifts
-mailed check for notary stamp
-uploaded photos and videos from iPhone

Mary...Do take care!

Thanks for the hugs and prayers about the insurance situation. I am going to have to take care of this one by myself. DD says, "Don't worry about getting me insurance. I don't plan on having a stroke or anything, and I'll be really careful." Oh girl, if it were only that easy. Nobody PLANS to have a stroke or an accident. At this point in the game, it's not even worth going back to court to fight over. DD will be 18 in only 14 months and then I won't have to deal with his lazy attitude or the horrible Child Support Services and court system that we have in this county any longer.

I'm starting the search for a fairly reasonable option for health insurance for her on my own.

And, of course, it could never be just one thing at a time. Remember the little issue about me having the TV switched over to our new home? Major mad That was me throwing a temper tantrum, screaming and basically throwing a fit. Stupid, stupid DirectTV. We are not allowed to have a dish mounted on any part of the building other than the AC/Heating Unit in this condo due to the Homeowner's Assn. The tech said he can't mount it on there because it is unstable for the type of dish he has to install. Even though they cannot mount their equipment here, I am being charged a $260 cancellation fee. Oh, but the good news is that they will suspend my account and not charge me the cancellation fee until October. WHOPPEE! Lucky me! DD and I hardly even WATCH TV! It was for R at our old house.

i'm so sorry about the tv situation. i never wanted satalite tv b/c i figure it would be about as much trouble as an antenna was. i use cable and bundle tv, phone and high speed internet.

if i were you i would be grateful you never fought over full custody. can you imagine wanting custody, having to pay child support on your salary and worrying that your former spouse will move. that all happened to a friend of mine. they say if everyone had to put their troubles into a hat and then remove 1 each that everyone would want their own troubles back.

Diana - I only did the gardening because it helps me to relax my brain while my hands are busy lol.

Lynnie - I hope you make some time for you this week.

Carol - ((HUGS))

Mary - I have heard that saying before it is a good one. It reminds me that when I am struggling with anxiety that someone somewhere is having a much tougher time. Thank you I needed to be reminded of that today. I hope you are ok.

Thanks again ladies!

Mary....I think of that often. We all have our own trials and problems. That is really why I try my hardest not to judge others because I really have no idea what they are going through or what got them to where they are now. We've ALL got our "stuff". I'd gladly take my own difficulties over some that many others are faced with that's for sure.

I awoke this morning to an email offering assisting positions for 1 hour online class sessions with our school for different weeks throughout the summer. I immediately signed up for 5 of them. The pay is $100 per session per week so if I get all of them I will have $500. minus taxes of course, but it will sure help. Prayers going up that I get all of them. That in addition to what I will make for the camp that I'm directing for two weeks will be great to help get us through the summer.

I also came to the realization that if my DirectTV account is suspended, I won't have to continue making payments to them. Yes, I have to give them $260 in October, but at least for the summer I won't have to fork out $45 to them each month. And, hey, every little bit helps. I can use that extra to put towards DD's health insurance, once I find one for her.

I've already heard back. I didn't get all 5 of the sessions like I had wanted, but I did get 2 of them. So...there's $200 and every little bit helps. Better than a kick in the nose that's for sure.

And, Bless, you are SO right. My mom always says it's comes in 3's. I really don't even want to know what #3 is at this point.
But, just like the little engine that could, I will make it.

Sorry I was MIA, but the computer acted up again. DS2 was kind enough to help again, and now it seems to be back to normal.

Mary

Carol:

Mary, that is a good saying. I thought I had a tough time at the end of the dentist session last week, but then found someone who had recently had a total knee replacement - morphine pump and all - beats a pain that needs two ibuprofen and two regular acetaminophen, any day!

Carol, I'm glad you got two of the sessions. Hope some more good things happen soon.

Mary, sending good wishes your way. Ann, hope you're taking one hour at a time to get through your day. We're all delighted to see you post.
