Thanks Bonnie and a happy Friday to you too! I wish I could see your quilts, DMiL used to make some and I visited a few exhibitions, I saw such lovely work!

Well well. I have a few days off work. I had 3 days left over from last year's vacation bank so I took them and sandwiched my weekend off to make it a 5 days stretch. Yesterday I woke up and had a visitor sleeping on my couch, it was one of DS's friends they got in the wee hours of the morning, DS is working evenings for a while. I had important calls to make so I took my laptop and papers, made coffee and a bagel, then took all my stuff and spread it on my bed! Kind of fun staying in bed smile

After two calls and a sore ear I resolved the situation! yay me, I was able to get rid of the late fees and I'm getting the money I paid too much back! I had not changed the number of the account for my electric bill and was paying to my old account. When the bill came I would look only at the bottom line and pay the amount, thought a few times I was paying too much but paid very little attention until last few bills. Then I said woooah! How can I owe them so much I distinctly remember paying them in full last time??? Turns out I'm getting about 700$ back! I almost paid twice the amount in one year.

Later in the day I went and collected money from exbf. So over this. Still I was in a good mood and told him I was accepted into the college program; he cried. Kept telling me I was funny too. Ha! Hope he regrets leaving me, but I don't. I'm much better without him, I'm moving forward in life and he was holding me back in so many ways.

I had an appointment with my psychologist, feeling the guilt lift away as the weeks go by... I'm so ready to take on life's many challenges. After that I got an invitation to join colleagues from another residence I worked at last summer, we went to a bistro and left way past happy hour! Who cares I'm still on vacation!

I have another phone call to make today, to the government. I need information on payments I've been making and what form I need to fill out for my tax return. Less than two weeks I don't want to miss the deadline. I may have to go back to my workplace I have forgotten to include extra hours I've worked. This is only possible with the computers at work. I also want to verify if there has been a new posting for permanent jobs, I'm on a replacement so need to keep looking for an opening. They only last a week and since I'm on leave I'm afraid it will be over by the time I get back next week.

Focus on house cleaning will be getting rid of the stuff lying around! i.e. tons of mags on the kitchen table; finish the sewing projects then put away the ironing board and the sewing machine finally; sort, shred and file papers spread on to DD's bed. May take a few days but want this done and the place free and clean before I go back to work next Tuesday.

I’m still in bed enjoying my warm covers as it’s raining this morning and the humidity is bone chilling. Time to get up, put on warm clothes and get on with my day!

Vanilla - Thanks for the advice about the digital switch over. Iv retuned two or three times, but some of the channels still arent in the right place yet. I'll keep doing it though and see how it goes.

I've reprinted off the TV list number for Dad as it is so it will be easy enough to change.

I just did the shopping thing today and a bit of knitting, other then that nothing. Just dont feel up to it today. Tomorrow is a rest day so Im going to enjoy that.

Thanks Bonnie, for starting another thread. We are a busy group aren't we?

Bubblegum:
Good for you in enjoying your 5 days off. Sounds like a great plan in completing projects. Love that you are getting you overpayments back!

Purdy:
They are changing some items here too. Just got the new list today, along with the bill.

Took Gypsy in for her annual shots, etc. Cost an arm and leg. Fortunately I had put aside some money to pay. Has another appt next week, and I need to get Sylvester in for his yearly shots too. Sometimes more expensive than human costs!

Going out with neighbor for movie and dinner, going to an early show.

Not quite getting done all I need to. Did pay bills, took DD to get a bday present for friend, got change for tomorrow's Garage Sale, dropped off some stuff at church that was already priced, and I don't know what else. Feel like I'm spinning wheels.

I still need to get out in the garage and wipe stuff down. Also need to price some more stuff in the family room. Then DH is supposed to help me load things up and take them to church tonight. I just need it all DONE!

Cya!

Lots of good things still going on!

Bubblegum, so glad you were able to get the 2 days of vacation to stretch that weekend out so nice! You accomplished lots and you "sound" lighter! Excellent place to be.

Purdy, sounds like you've got the changeover covered now and once it's all straightened out!

Diana, I know what you mean about the pet stuff costing more than the human..especially "dr" visits!

Wendy, looks to me like you got quite a bit done! The rest will come, just remember, one step at a time! But ... I hear you on DONE! LOL

Went home for lunch from work and had intended to make my bed (dh slept in this am) but forgot...ugh....will do a quick brush out and straighten up when I get home and before we head off to small group. Will have dgd run the cordless sweeper around the carpets this afternoon. Also tagged her to break down a box so we can get it into recycle. Keeping up with other dailies overall.

Did manage to get my sales tax paid for the 1st quarter so that won't result in a penalty. Still need to order replacement filters for the air cleaner and deposit a couple of checks into the bank. May do the deposit on my way to pick up my co-op produce basket in the morning.

Keep up the great work all!

Wow, great job all. Having a lovely day here and relaxing on the back porch.
Went to the park with ds to take a walk and feed the ducks, picked up dh and went out for lunch, then strawberry picking. Got about 4 lbs. Picked up some veggies at the farmers market and some stuff for a project at craft store. Going to make paella for dinner and strawberry shortcake for dessert, hopefully go for a walk later when the boys wake up.

Tmrow going garage saling with mil, then bday party. Still have to pack, but better to enjoy the wkend!

What a gorgeous day here. Waiting for a soaker of a storm tomorrow, very much needed. I can't even rake leaves, the yard is in a dust storm. Even our lake has been on television, as it is drying up, and the tourist season has tried to start, can't get the boats in the shoreline is so receded. We've been on a fire alert for weeks things are so dry.

Got rid of the china to the consignment shop. Worked a half hour in the garage. Regular errands in town with Finn. Walked him today, hope his leg is ok. Did paperwork, filed a bit of stuff.

Emails back and forth with the att'y. Called my accountant, left message. Tried to make some appointments for work, got nowhere. Please say a prayer I get some work!!!!!

fleur, sounds like a wonderful day! Good job enjoying the weekend first!

Waterlady, sorry to hear that things are so dry. Opposite of last year if I am remembering right? Feast or famine isn't it! You got lots done by the look of it. Praying for work for you.
