have you considered a study group when your child is old enough to walk back and forth to school. or sports. i was close to a school but far from the stable where i learned to horseback ride. i wanted to become a horse handler when i grew up. you can get a head start in life if you can walk somewhere for after class training.

The mini adventure didnt pan out as its been solid rain/storm all morning. I was just going to take a trip to the shops which I dont do very often, but it was an adventure for me. It will have to wait for a dry day.

I choose to sort my wardrobe instead, but because of the rain I had to take the dog out as Dad doesn't like doing it in the rain (being on a mobility scooter)first. I did get to test my new rain coat, which is like a riding coat with hood and down to my calves and that worked well. My dog also wore his new yellow coat but that needs tweeking as the hood doesnt fit the way I put it. It does stop him getting completely soaked to the skin.

I only got the front of the wardrobe sorted - the scarf and belt hanger, the hat bag and scarves but it is a start.

The Coopercraft goodies arrived this morning. They are china dogs and I'm going to get one (cheap on Ebay) for every class I've done so it will be 11 in total.

Hi all - everyone sounds as if they are doing well this week.

Karen - I moved last year just before my daughter was due to start school (we had been trying to sell the house for years and it still didn't go!) and the local school with places was in special measures. I went round it and liked it immediately - great atmosphere - can you visit the other possible schools on your list? DD went to the SM school and loved it, the teachers are great and it is out of SM now. But I know what you mean about the reports and ratings, you feel that unless you can get into an outstanding school (and the school she had a place at in our old location was outstanding) then you haven't done your best for them. But it's also what will suit the child best too.

Purdy, can't believe they didn't deliver those packages or the neighbours didn't tell you about the cards! I would complain about that.

Doing OK here, going down with a bit of a cold but got lots of cleaning and tidying done in the kitchen yesterday, been out shopping this morning (and got drenched, storm conditions here today!) and have another hour and a half until school pick up time.

Have a good one!

Bonnie, if I would only remember His leading. I tend to forget and go in on my own. I mess up things pretty bad doing that! I will say that I'm learning though!

Karen, I'll be praying for you to make the right decision. It sounds like your son is so blessed to have you as his mom!!

Purdy, Good work on the wardrobe! Baby steps are so helpful!

Vanilla, hope you feel better soon!

Got to enjoy the sunshine this morning. (Sorry UK friends!) Planted my tomatoes, lily of the valley, impatients, and some Moon flower seeds. My friends gave me the Lily plants and moon seeds. Can't wait for them to grow!! Also weeded the front flower bed.

Now to finish lunch and get some inside stuff done.
Cya!

Good Wednesday all! Looks like lots of things getting done again.

Karen, the decision you make will be the right one...look at all the research you are willing to do! ((( HUGS )))

Purdy, sorry your mini-adventure didn't work out for you. Sounds like you used the time well!

Vanilla, sorry you're down with a cold. Hope it passes quickly. Good job on all you got done!

Managed to get some vacuuming done yesterday before going to Costco. Also got some items together for a charity pickup this morning. That got put out on the porch first thing. Started a load of laundry before work, as well as getting yesterday's load of sheets folded and put away. All the dailies got done this morning too. Even got in some sewing time! Love that! Probably doing some shopping at lunch time today, then will work on loading a customer's quilt on my quilting frame after dinner.

Keep up the great work all!

Thanks everyone! You are all a great support smile

Vanilla the school we have the place at has been steadily improving and the reception class is a level 2 (good). It is the year 1 and 2 that seem to have problems although they are still a level 3 now. I work in a school with year 3's providing teaching support so if he did need extra help I could provide it. Like you say you do find yourself getting carried away with inspections and grades which is what I have been doing. I am now trying to relax about that side of it and take a more holistic approach before making a decision.

School today and my goodness they were an handful, but at the end several gave me hugs and thanked me for coming so that made it al l worthwhile. Of course if I could get paid for doing it that would be nice too lol.

After school we went to see my granddad. I also managed to start on branch work.

Karen, hope you come to a decision soon. ((HUGS))

I went over to mom's yesterday and worked in the basement. Took all the painting supplies and boxed them, tossed a lot. Went through a small cabinet that had stationery and the likes, tossed a lot of personalized things.

Had a lot of small boxes of stuff to go to the women's shelter, so loaded up the truck and delivered them. Got gas and cigs while in NJ, saved over $15. Got two bags of garbage filled when I got back, and then quit.

Radon guy is coming this morning. I'm going to work in mom's garage again today.
