My goodness! I just need some TIME in which to actually do something! Hard to get anything done even on the weekends because I am putting in overtime!

Hey Bless,
Overtime is good! I am sure that things are in good shape after all the work, and organizing you did these past few months. You and DD are very busy ladies, life happens and the house waits for us.

Diana, yes, the overtime is good. I am grateful I am being given the chance to offset some of the impacts of the mandatory furloughs. I am not complaining, but it does mean I have less time for other things. But, as you say, the house will wait. smile

I have a new room to focus on for the rest of April/part of May. The Master Bedroom is most in need of attention so even though my living room remains an ongoing project, I am switching rooms. The carpet cleaning is now a "must do as soon as possible" so I'm going to remove the bed (the only way to access all of the carpet at one time) and do the needed renovations.

- patch walls in preparation for painting
- move bed to a different room (temporarily)
- clean carpet (professional cleaner booked to come on Tues, the 24th)
- paint walls (color to be decided)
- paint closet fronts (white)
- closet clean-out
- book shelf sort
- dispose of no longer needed items

When that is done, I want to redecorate the room and move back in.

I haven't made it to the guest room but I got the garage cleaned up and a lot done on the yard so it's been a trade off. The yard still needs some work but at least the all the pots but one are planted. Now they just need to grow.

This weekend is prom so I'm tied up for most of the weekend. Also the farmer's market opens this weekend. To bad it's so early because their won't be much I will want.

I've started the process of fixing the MBR walls ready for painting. Tomorrow morning the bed and nightstands will be moved out of the room. Carpet cleaners are coming in the afternoon.

FYI, fixing the walls and painting has been on our "todo" list for a couple years. This will be my chance to see how much I learned from DH. I doubt that I will do as good a job as DH with the repairs but I'm hoping for acceptable.

The carpet needs cleaning NOW as a result of the events surrounding DH's final hours. Plus, most of the sorting and tossing is also connected to that event.

I've decided to redecorate to make the room "mine" vs "ours" - mainly through my choice of paint color and putting a different quilt on the bed. I think I'll plan to change out the curtains as well.

Today I need to find DH's sander, sand off my patch job and see if the spots look like they needs more filler before priming.

Dianaro, tooo bad they don't just get rid of the irs all together and find an equitable way to pay taxes for all. Having issues with getting the finances to balance out, but that will come.

In the meantime, I got the old laptop that the boys got infected fixed. They were able to salvage all the old info and transfer it to the new laptop. So I will keep the old est one for the boys to use and when it dies, it dies. I have also found a buyer for the newer one so that will offset the purchase of the newest one by half. Since I got the new pooter, figured I would update my office suite as well, as I can write all this off this year with the new biz.

Worst part is that I have spent all Sunday and most of today getting the network working again. Toooooo many hours online with tech supportbut it is finally working. Now I just have to get the printers installed. This could take some work as they are very old and I will have to search for drivers. And since they work great i have no intention of getting new ones anytime soon.

okay.....so i jsut plugged in the printers to the new computer and low and behold, they were found and installed almost immediately.....wow! technology! Today I love it, yesterday I hated it.

Now its time to study

I know it is so frustrating to deal with the government sometime.

Good going on the new laptop and the printers!

Looking around the basement today, when I return from my trip I have planned my moves to finish it up!
