Re Digital change over - We're still waiting for the right channels to be under the right numbers, but hopefully that will happen soon.

Our house lost its mains water supply late last night, and it was still off this morning. Three houses without water, but one guy had already got a plumber coming in so I didnt worry as I always have bottle water. It seems our "£$% neighbour went away and turned off the mains supply at the street, so it just had to be switched back on.

A definate rest day today. I'll get back to it tomorrow.

Am I right ladies?

Had a fun time with SIL and MIL at huge community garage sale this morning...we spent 2 hrs there and I was the only one who bought anything! Got some bargains of clothes and his favorite character backpack for DS, two shirts for DH. Had a blast at our friend's DS' bday party, then back home for a nap for all. DH and DS visiting the neighbors now. Getting a load of laundry ready to be washed, then have to bust open the luggage to start packing (will see if it actually happens!) Have to work the next 3 days so will only have ~ 2 hrs each day after work to get stuff done. Off to Cali for vacation on Wed!

Had the sale today and we did pretty good! Between my girls and I, we sold over $200 worth! And I only brought back one bin and DD#2's bike. The bin stuff we're going to sell online. I made DH promise me that it will get done. (I didn't want to bring it back) The bike DD will sell at a friend's garage sale next month. EVERYTHING THAT DIDN'T SELL WENT TO THE THRIFT STORE!!! I was so pleased!

So glad to have all that done. Now I need to tidy up the house from all the sorting and pricing. Plus, I have a bit more space in my house! YAHOO!! So those areas needed cleaning and rearranging.

Well I'm pretty tired, so I'm going to go read in bed. I may fall asleep before my family!! hee hee!
Cya!

Today, I did 8 hrs. of office-related work (brought work home to do). In addition, I watered the garden, both front and back; did 3 loads of laundry, including my bed linen; tidied up the linen closet, my dresser drawers and closet, when putting back washed items; made pancakes for breakfast, pasta with freshly made sauce from scratch for lunch; and called my cousin. Oh, and I took an afternoon nap, too! laugh

Lots of good things happening this weekend!

Karen, if only, if only! LOL

Purdy, glad the water situation was resolved easily. Rest days are really good!

Diana, love you too my dear friend!

Wendy, glad to hear that things went so well at the sale! That has to be a great relief! Glad you have a plan for the rest and that so much has left the house!

Fleur, sounds like a great weekend for you all! You'll get packed...getting to leave is a great motivator!

Tina, that's a great TA-Da list! Good job!

Bless, you are one busy lady! Yumm on the pancakes! All that work done AND a nap! You are my hero!

Did my dailies in addition to getting out to pick up my co-op produce...lots of yummies today! Did a bit of shopping and then home to process the produce. After that I did some quilting and got some productivity going there too....have prepped one customer's quilt for the frame, and then got fabric ready for another customer quilt.....prepped my Sunday school lesson for tomorrow and then fixed us a veggies only supper....it was so good...and the selection was awesome! Love those...

Bonnie and Diana - I know if only right? wink

Well so far this weekend I have done two loads of laundry, sorted through some items in the bedroom, visited the in-laws and gone through the finances.

It is 7.30am here this rainy Sunday morning, and the plan for today is family time with some small chores thrown in.

Today I am celebrating 8 years of being a GON member!!!

I can say that since I joined, I have downsized from a 2200 square foot home to a 750 total sq. ft. home. I have donated hundreds of books, tossed hundreds of magazines, and tons of clothes over the years. I have let go of so many things! In my big house there was plenty of room and I bought things just to fill up empty walls and built ins. I kept loads of clothes and shoes because I had loads of closets. Looking back now, it was just useless clutter.

Now that I am in a limited space and every inch counts, barely anything comes in unless I absolutely love it and have a space for it.

I have recently realized that for the most part, my house looks nice, and people can stop in and I don't cringe! DD has remarked on her last three visits how nice the house looks each time she comes.

Yes, I have the constant battle of the kitchen counter piling up with bills, etc. And the basket in the living room "throws up" occasionally. The attic is getting "lighter" I can walk around in the garage and still have a lot to do in there. But, I am feeling a peace now in my home I would never have achieved if I hadn't been on this forum and had the support of so many people.

So thank you all for your constant ideas and tremendous friendship and support, and posting all of your own "problem" areas and solutions.
