Wendy - Prayers being sent your way although I am sure you will manage it all fine. Purdy, Waterlady, and Mary - You are all busy as usual! Kimberley - The closet makeover sounds great. Well yesterday I put a load of laundry in then went to the park with DS. When we got back I hung it on the line, then laid another paving slab, and DS played outside on his bike. DM called round for a visit and after she had gone, and we had had lunch DS and I lay on my bed cuddling while I read him a story. My dad and aunt turned up after that for a visit. After dinner and dishes I did the ironing. This morning all ironing and laundry has been put away and another load of laundry is in the washer. I need to go the post office and library, so they are next on my list

Hi ladies - daughter is back in school today so I've got a chance to get back on track!
Did lots of errands yesterday, it was a lovely day weather-wise so nice to be out and about with my daughter. I must have been a bit punch-drunk by the end though, because I picked up the wrong type of washing powder! Luckily, the supermarket were happy to change it this morning, so only one errand to run!
I dropped DD off at school and then ran into my old neighbours who had recently moved. We had a chat, and they introduced me to someone else who lives nearby.
Really need to blitz the kitchen and bathrooms today, tidy the living room a bit more and then hoping to have an ironing binge after lunch. A time to catch up on prerecorded trash TV!
How do you cope with your usual schedule when the children are home for the long summer break? I really need to get a grip on this for the summer, we don't finish until late July (go back early September), I'll have to do a separate thread in a month or so and ask for tips.
Have a good day ladies!

I had a quick job yesterday morning, I was dreading it, but it worked out fine.
Came home, it was in the high 80's, so washed my truck. Laura was going to help me give Finn a bath when she got home, so went to get the hose ready and broke the end fitting. Had to go to the hardware store and get a new setup of connectors. (I need to use the curly type hose for Finn and it's not standard fittings) He looks gorgeous this morning, all white and red again, and he doesn't smell! LOL!
Shipped some ebay stuff out, paid my utility bill. Emailed the att'y. The mold guy was at mom's (I tell you, that is such a phony rip-off) BBQ'd a burger for dinner, yum!
It's lovely out today, I'll get something done outside.

Vanilla: I found doing things in the morning helped make the days go more smoothly when the children were home. The house atmosphere was less formal than during the school year, more friends over and places to go. Ask away, I am sure the moms have wonderful suggestions.
WL: I need to bathe Gypsy this week! Glad Finn is smelling better!
Hoping the mold guy didn't charge too much....but some molds are very dangerous. Lucky you caught it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~ Feeling so good about what all I did yesterday. Hoping to continue with the spot on ETEing each time today. Have a class and a haircut today so won't be home to mess up! LOL
Thank you all, I'm so excited, I do online searches everyday; I wish I could start now!
Purdy, I'm fortunate it will only cost up to 500$ another reason why I couldn't pass up this opportunity!
I've been busy doing chores but it doesn't show much, hate when that happens! I went around the place with a duster and took down the cobwebs. Folded clothes left in the dryer yesterday and put them away. Cleaned the tub and counter in the bathroom. Refilled the hand soap dispensers (bathroom and kitchen) also refilled the distributor with the shampoo I have in the shower.
I've cleaned up the kitchen and did the dishes also from yesterday, ok so that shows... but I got plant pots on the counter waiting for new or repotted plants. I took the magazines from the living room, the bathroom and the bedroom put them in one pile; ready to sort and recycle. I installed the slide guides for the entry closet bifold doors. I flossed! Trying to get into a routine...
All little things that needed to be done but for the most part, who would notice! Oh well, I know. What is bothering me is the stuff I still see. I need to empty out the tray on the coffee table and dust the furniture. I've got papers spread out on DD's bed when I started weeding my files. The ironing board is still in the kitchen with my sewing stuff on it because I've yet to complete 2 small projects! I have a high waste basket also in the kitchen for recyclable and it's overflowing.
No time for this, have to be content with what I did. Shower and off to work!
Great strides getting done everyone! Be proud, and sometimes Bubblegum knowing it is done is a happy thought without it being seen.
Purdy: Love my grabber. A couple of my cabinets are deep and things get stuck in the back, and I am not about to climb onto the countertop, so the grabber does wonders.
Good going on getting things ready for sorting.
Wendy: How are things going today?
Home now, did my errands and then went to find something for a friend who has a hard time getting out to shop. Found what I think she wanted. Will see her at the Volunteer luncheon from the Center tomorrow, so can pass them on to her. She is such a sweetie.
Class was fun, as usual, and I signed up for two of the classes next month. Sooooo love her talents, and usually it is all the same ladies, so we have a good time teasing the teacher and each other.
Time to settle down for the evening. I also got my haircut.
Well, God answered some prayers for me. I had been praying about continuing to be the music director at co-op. I love the kids, love music, but noticed that my heart hasn't been in it for the last couple of years. This year's really been a challenge to keep a smile on my face. I felt guilty about it, and was really struggling with it.
I spoke with the ladies in charge, telling them what was going on and asked for them to pray with and for me. I met with two of the leaders yesterday. The leadership team has offered me a year off. They encourage me to take a time of rest. Not even lead teach in any other capacity. Just be a helper. They'll welcome me back to the director position if I feel led to.
I'm relieved at one point, yet sad at another. When I told my dds, the youngest started to cry. I explained carefully about needing a break and shared some new things that would take place next year. She seems to understand.
I have really mixed emotions right now. Sad, cuz I know this could be my last time directing. Razzled, cuz I'm trying to get things organized for the two all day practices and performance coming up. Relieved, cuz I know I won't be in charge next year.
On another note, please pray our computer will get fixed today. It's really acting squirrelly. (Like my word!) So it's off to get it fixed, renew tags for Dh's motorcycle, pick up groceries, and a host of other things!!
Cya later!
