Diana - Thats a great idea, I could use it in our top pantry cupboard.

Didnt feel up to much but have gone bonkers today. Iv cleaned the bathroom, and vaccumed through downstairs.

Here in London we've all been forced onto Digital with all the channels going over today. Its a complete mess as usual. Iv got all the channels on the box but in the wrong numbers, so I hope they can sort that out later. It took them 24 hours to just do BBC 2 a few weeks ago, so I'm not expecting anything soon.

Iv typed out a large list for Dad so he can just use the numbers to select the channel he wants. He finds the remotes not only hard to see but also hard to remember how to use.

I had a busy day yesterday, it was nice out so I worked out in the yard a bit.

I bought a new "contraption" to use to empty out the tanks I use for work. Back to the hardware store for more fittings to hook up the hose, as the ends didn't match. I waited for the garbage man to tell him I was putting out the beds from mom's, he said not to worry, he'll take them.

Made an app't to get my hair cut today in New Jersey (only a few miles from here), I'll gas up too while I'm there.

Worked in the garage about two hours, the handyman is coming to fix the beam and the only place I haven't emptied is where he needs to do the repair. I am almost done on the first "go round" of the garage. Next I can go through the bins and decide what can go in a garage sale, which is probably going to be most of it. Lots of glassware, etc. that I will never use.

This afternoon the new buyer is coming to mom's to measure some rooms. We are almost ready to close!

Glad the ladies understood, and sometimes we DO need to step back and take time off. You are not giving up, you just need some time for yourself and family. You can still participate in another way. Changes are difficult, but that is okay.

Today I will be working at the jewelry sales table for the Volunteer luncheon. Nice to see everyone and enjoy a nice meal.
Don't know what all I will get done here, other than the usual Wed. routines.

Fantastic news Wendy enjoy the break the Lord has provided for you.

I have had a busy day myself. I have cleaned the ground floor rearranging the living room as I did. A load of laundry has been done and that has been ironed and put away.

This afternoon I was in school, and then DH took DS to the in-laws so I could finish my assignment. 9.30pm here now.The assignment is done, DS is home and in bed and I am just having a cup of tea before getting ready for bed.

Waterlady - Great going in the garage etc.

Today I tackled the top of the wardrobe, where I keep my purses/handbags and shoes that are out of season etc. Sorted through that lot and got them organised. Any I dont need right now Im going to put in the loft and then if they dont get touched in few months can go to the charity shop.

I got my haircut, and I think I will go back there again. It was a few dollars more but was worth it.

Stopped at the grocery store and picked up some meat on sale. Came home made some phone calls, straightened up the kitchen. Took Finn into town to the Post office and got him his treat cookie at the convenience store.

The buyer for mom's came over and we discussed what I am leaving for her, and I offered her some things for sale. Hopefully she will take them and I don't have to move/sell them. I packed up the china finally and will try to get it to the consignment shop later today. I have one job this morning (call back, no pay!) then I have to meet the mold guy and pay him.

Last night called my old neighbor (the no-show one, LOL) and we had a long talk. She's very depressed about her split up with her new husband. I tried to console her the best I could.

Wendy, you should feel good about your decision. Sounds like the best one at this time smile

Am on day 2 of my 4 day off stretch. Yesterday, put some dishes away and washed a sinkful, cleaned off kitchen countertops, started to fold another load of laundry and got distracted. Went for a long walk with DS and the IL's, then out to lunch, back for a nap, hit Walmart with DH for essentials. Managed to finish packing up a welcome box for friends with new baby and need to mail out sometime.

Hoping to spend some time with DS outside today, have plans with friends for dinner. Need to start packing this afternoon for our trip to Cali. Also have to figure out some meals that I can prepare in advance for DH while we are gone. Have the next 3 days to put something together.

Hope the lady purchases the items!

Fleur:
You are soooooo busy all the time! Do you have a dishwasher?
I think you do, but not sure, as you are always washing dishes!

YAY a trip again! Have fun! How long? Does DH cook? My DH never did. My one son cooks, but not the other one.

So far so good, keeping up on the ETEing this week. Such a busy week, and I hate to come home to a mess as I know I won't have the energy or time to do anything.

Not doing badly here - currently multitasking by dyeing my eyelashes and typing at the same time!

Done some shopping over the last couple of days, also getting rooms cleaned and enforced order on the kitchen. Not done the ironing though, which is a bugbear but there is always tomorrow.

Purdy - re the digital switchover - when it happened in our area we needed to retune a few times at set intervals. You'll probably have to do this too. It is not always as smooth a change as they hope for!

Everyone is doing a great job at productivity. I am impressed at all that is going on!

Waterlady, so glad to see you are so close to closing on your dm's house. I know it will be a huge relief for you when that is complete.

Purdy, those digital change-overs are a pain, but nice when done.

Wendy, mixed feelings are normal, but I'm glad to see you will have at least a year to rest. Remember, even the Lord took a sabbath rest.....Sometimes too, the ministry He has for us changes....good to see that your prayers were answered so quickly.

Bubblegum...looks to me like you got a lot done!

Karen, great idea to wear the little guy out in the mornings to get time to do things around the house! Just picturing him trying to keep awake to eat lunch got me chuckling!

Vanilla, looks like lots is going on with you too!

Fleur, sounds like you are making excellent use of your time off work, although I should say time off your paying job, as you are working pretty hard at home too!

Diana, your home always looks so nice, and I know the ete and pupa is what keeps it that way!

Keeping up with dailies and work and quilting every day....trying to get the extras back into the schedule too....

Have a wonderful day all!
