DD has a strange class schedule right now as most of her classes are at home with me. But, on Mondays she goes to the college for a class at 11:00, Tuesdays she goes to the college for a class at 4:30, Wednesday she has a music lesson at 6:30, and Thursday she goes to the Charter school to help the Geometry teacher at 1:30. So, last week she got Monday and Tuesday off, and this week, she gets Wednesday and Thursday off. She just doesn't get a whole week in a row off like the rest of us.
Diana...DD will only be doing school for one class over the summer and that is Algebra II. It was her choice to retake the first semester because she just wasn't getting it. That has caused her to be a semester behind so she will do the 2nd semester over the summer. She will also be working for 5 weeks during the summer teaching music at two different "day" camps for the Arts. She LOVED doing it last summer and can't wait to get started with that again this summer.
We did find some sheets that worked perfect to cover the table of boxes in her room. She immediately put it over the top when we got home, and now we are just going to put on the finishing touch of a string of lights that have "peace" signs on them that R had given to her awhile back. Her new comforter is covered with colorful peace signs so it will be a nice accent in the room. We also picked up some various fabric fat quarters to decorate three sets of plastic drawers that she has in her room as well.
I got the "curtain" hung over the opening of the laundry area yesterday afternoon. I've used dropcloths, which I really like, but they are a bit long so I'm going to have to do a little adjusting to get them right. Plus I need some more clips for the top because there is just too much gapping going on up there for me. It's definitely a work in progress.
I repainted the "circus tent" pot a nice blue and then this evening I just finished putting the white polka dots on all of the pots. Some have large dots and some have small. They actually gave a nice cohesive look to the different colors and it's coming together better than I had thought they would by the looks of things last night. Now, just need to hit them with a spray of poly and they will be complete and ready for flowers.

April Goals
Health -Call doctor about change in meds -Review ballet workout DVD's and put together a workout program for myself -Start (again!) taking vitamins -put reminders on my iPhone to take meds and vitamins daily -make appointments for mammo, OB-GYN, dentist (bleh!!!)
House -write-up Master Lists for each room in the house -go through boxes in garage and take out items and set aside for Goodwill pick-up -alphabetize DVD's in bedroom and move to library shelves -finish last 2 loads of laundry -make up housework schedule (this is in progress). Made a complete list of all household chores, etc. that I need to do. Now, just have to put them into a doable schedule. Making up this schedule is proving to be a bit of a challenge since I now have a dog and I want to fit a serious workout (weightlifting, etc.) in somewhere. I can't work out at lunchtime because I don't start work until 1:00 p.m. and don't take a "lunch break" until almost 4:00. Hmmmm...
Interests -Mail vendors contracts and checks to Nancy for Zeta event -mail birthday cards and check to church for Easter lilies -upload photos to miniatures club web site -finish finalizing miniatures club minutes and email them -Put away supplies from last miniature project -continue with miniature magazines index spreadsheet (ongoing) -start miniature commission job (4 miniature bonnets for customer)
Personal -take clothes to dry cleaners -mail box of yarns to my mother -mail baby booties and hats to Zeta March of Dimes coordinator -mail check for state taxes (due by April 30) -check P.O. Box for Zeta mail

Lynnie...If I forget to take one of my meds, by the evening I am having withdrawals already so I've set the alarm on my phone to go off every morning at 8:30 to remind me to take my pills. You might want to try something like that. I know that I'm not always good at LOOKING at my phone, but if it's a ringing, I can't ignore it. It works well for me.
This morning I did a thorough cleaning of the bathroom, and I just made the whole place smell so good. I really need to get back to my daily cleaning schedule that I used a few years ago. It helped me so much to keep up with everything.
I've had to postpone the finishing of my painted pots because the weather has turned nasty here. The only step left is spraying the poly coating on them, and I don't want to do that inside because of the toxic fumes. I did start painting a little plastic drawer thingy that DD uses for all of her little things in the bathroom like her brush and hairclips and toothpaste, etc. It didn't coordinate with the decor we have in there now, a bright sunshiney yellow, so I've set to painting that to match. I'll poly all of the items at the same time once the weather gets nicer again.
I'm also working on making a big, dry-erase calendar for my office area. I'm just using a large picture frame. I've used a piece of dropcloth to cover the backing for a plain background to the calendar. I'll pop that into the frame and then use dry erase markers on the glass. Did you know that you can use dry-erase markers on glass and plastic and it comes right off? It's great! I think I may have shared that before.
I have a little something to share that happened. Monday night I could not get to sleep because I was having a strong pulsing in the ring finger of my left hand under R and my wedding rings. I may have mentioned that I have felt it a couple of times before when I thought he was trying to send a message to me. Anyway, it finally stopped at about 2:00 a.m. and I fell asleep. Tuesday morning, R's Colorado brother called me to tell me that their mother had died. It wasn't unexpected. She had been sick for a long time. Remember, R and I had postponed our wedding a year and a half ago because of her health. He had promised to call me to let me know when it happened, and he did indeed call me to let me know. He said that she died at 2:00 a.m. It was as if R was trying to tell me what was happening the only way that he could. Her husband was so mean to her and they were all just sure that he was trying to kill her anyway, but she just wouldn't leave him. I'm sure that R was absolutely so excited that he wanted to share the news with me that she was finally safe and on her way to him. Some people might think that I'm just going crazy, but I like to think of it as R letting me know that they're happy. It's comforting to me and doesn't hurt anybody else so that's the way I'm taking it.
Tomorrow, DD and I are going shopping for a prom dress. It's going to be interesting as she is not a frilly kind of girl. She's asked if she can wear tennis shoes with the dress SO.....we're off to find a dress that will be fancy enough for a formal, but she can still add her funky little twist to it. She's such a sensible type that she doesn't want to be stuck with a dress that is so fancy that she can only wear it once. I think if we find something that is semi-formal/semi-casual and then bling it up with the right accesories, she may be able to pull off the wearing of the tennis shoes. (Maybe I'll talk her into wearing some little socks with lace edges...teeheehee....she's definitely not going for a glamour look. She just wants her personality to shine through!)

Carol, that's a good idea! One of my meds I'm supposed to take before my feet hit the floor in the morning, and usually my mind is working on what I need to do that day that I totally forget.
You mentioned dry erase markers on glass -- we have a prankster here at the office and she drew funny faces and disguises on a co-worker's pictures. Needless to say, he wasn't upset. For revenge, he went into her office and made all of her artwork and certificates and degrees on her wall lopsided. :-) Never a dull moment here.
Ooh, pink high-top Chucks with Swarovski flatback crystals or some funky adhesive decos on them would be waaaay cool footwear for the prom!!!!

Carol, First off I think it may be true about R contacting you, with the time and all, I agree it happens. Sorry about his mom, but it sounds like she is better off.
Definitely Bling up the shoes! Hope you find something.
I mark my calendar with little signs to let me know I took my meds, and the vitamins sit out on the countertop in the pill case...do you prepare the pills ahead of time? I do a weekly pill case for both myself and Gypsy. LOL
Lynnie: Love when you can play at work and have a little fun. Sounds like a nice place.
Don't feel overwhelmed with all you have/want to do. Remember babysteps? It gets done eventually, you know that.
Mary: Glad you got to get your coat into the cleaners.
Yikes, a mouse hole, what did he use to block it?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Updated my list.
Yes, I do use one of those weekly pill cases. I actually keep it in my purse so it's with me always. A few years ago, I went on a trip to Reno with my parents to see my brothers and I accidentally took the wrong Rx bottle with me. It was an absolute nightmare because with the meds that I take withdrawals start within 12 hours of a missed dose and they are horrible (on the same lines as DT's). Anyway, after that, I promptly went to the dollar store and got a pill case so that didn't happen again. Last night, I had to implement the 15 minute timer on myself for getting my office set up. I only did one 15 minute session, but at least it's a start.
