I think it's time to post another list. My week has been busy and productive - 2 adjectives that I like to use (with honesty) re: my todo list.

One day, I baked between 14 and 15 doz buns and filled my freezer. With DS' assistance we were able to get snow tires and summer tires switched on my car. I also recruited his assistance and we cleaned/reorganized the car.

Today, I want to -
- finish laundry (for a day or 2 before it will need to be done again)
- PUPA/reorganizing my living room
- sewing (?) I'm still working on how to provide my Mother with new undershirts. She knows exactly what she wants and that is a style that is not readily available for purchase.
- d/w - empty, start refilling
- get information to tax people (they send a rep to us to gather the info)
- phone Mom's LTC facility with a question that my DSis-in-law wanted asked
- other tasks?

What am I going to do with you two? You obviously need a better tasting cough syrup or cough drops. Hoping you are feeling better today Bless.
~~~~~~~~~
Did my crafting with the group. Finished another isolette cover and started a third one. We planned our May/June projects this morning so that was a good excuse to go yarn shopping, right? Been trying out some new yarns and want to knit this particular couple of scarfs. Will let you know when and how it works out.
Took my inloves out to lunch and caught up with them. Wasn't able to do much more than ETEing today.
Gathered up some items I need to help a friend with some of her gifts, and will do that tomorrow morning. Hoping the weekend will be quiet and I can do some cards and crocheting.
Good morning everyone! Everyone seems to have been very productive while I was away. This will be a more permanent move (well until we are able to purchase a house).
Hope Bless is beginning to feel better.
Today's JDI list:
-finish unpacking
-email in-boxes (small one is done, cleared 200 out of the larger inbox)
-1 load of laundry**going to fold and put away now
-take out garbage
What a day so far! I was hoping to be able to do cooking WHILE I ran the self-clean function on my oven. Nope... the clean cycle diables the top burners too.
When the family is together this weekend we have plans to cook a turkey. Today I wanted to do as much prep as possible because the weekend will be super busy. We have plans for all of us to go see Mom tomorrow morning and then come here to work on the stuff at her house.
My plans for today -
1. Clean oven
- run the self-clean function on my oven (in process)
- ask DS to wash the ash out when the oven is cooled
2. Prep for weekend meals
- prep turkey dressing (bread broken in small pieces, spices measured out, onions chopped) All that will be need to be done at the time is to mix those things together and add hot water. I use the microwave to cook it.
- cook whole cranberry sauce (by starting with fresh/frozen cranberries, I can control the amount of sugar that goes in)
- peel potatoes, cover with cold water and refrigerate
- wash fresh celery and refrigerate with other fresh veggies
- write detailed instructions for DS so he can put the turkey in the oven tomorrow while I am away
3. Do errands around town
- get the mail
- deposit a check at the bank
- pay the bill at DH's favorite lumberyard
- take one of my wall pictures (a delicate wood mosaic) to Mom's for safe keeping while DH patches the wall where it hangs
4. Sewing
- cut and sew a second trial undershirt for Mom (I sure hope I can discover a style that is satisfactory to her)
5. Start packing (I'm going to Calgary with my DBs and will spend just less than 2 weeks there visiting family, shopping and resting. I have to be ready to go as soon as they are ready to leave)
- make a written list for things that I will need to pack at the last minute
- pack whatever I can right now
- if I have to take dirty clothes, I WILL have access to a washer and dryer at my desitination
5. Other tasks?
Oh my, that looks like a daunting list! Better get at it...
Update: wow all those cross-outs look awesome!
Whew Darlene
I am tired just reading all you need to do! Take breaks and rest when you can. Sounds like you have the dinner under control very well.
Got things done in the house, didn't bring my crafting things in yet, when I do I will put it all away. Straightened out the craft room before I left this morning.
Happy with what I got completed today.
From a GONer viewpoint, our place looks like the home of a recidivist! For example, after DH fixed the trim on the staircase, it never did get painted yet, so the ornaments that were in the wall alcove are still sitting on the floor in the living room next to an end table.
The kitchen island is now home to a variety of items related to bottling maple syrup, and the wicker tray on the coffee table is piled with books and papers, including receipts for the first two dental treatments (more to come). I can never find my pots and pans, which keep getting commandeered for mysterious purposes related to maple syrup.
The lumpy duvet has been abandoned and replaced by the queen comforter which, thank goodness, I never got rid of. The lumpy duvet now sits rumpled on another bed waiting for me to take it apart and murder the innards!
There is a general feeling of non-GONerishness about the place. Oh well, when the maple syrup season is over, my missing pots and pans will come back from the woodshed and also when my tooth gets fixed, there will, (I hope), be a flurry of GONer activity around here!
JDI - lots! : D
